My brother likes to surprise me with lunch every now and then, and this time it was from Ahipoki. I've never been to the physical location but their take out is great. My brother got me a bowl with what looks like spicy tuna, imitation crab, and salmon (I could be wrong). He went wild and just added random toppings, so I have to rate it based on what he chose. The imitation crab was ok, a little dry. I wish there was more sauce that came with it. The spicy tuna was good, not spicy at all. The salmon was also really good, a little creamy from whatever sauce that it had on it. I wish there was more salmon on my bowl, out of the three it seemed like the least amount. There was also cucumbers, edamame, pineapple, and crispy onion. The crispy onion wasn't my favorite. It was all on top of white rice. Overall a good generous meal. Definitely plenty of toppings and rice. I like that you can order ahead of time online and just pick up and go. It's a filling lunch. Fish tastes fresh and delicious. It's good but this time i noticed something. I ordered the 3 proteins, salmon, spicy salmon, and tuna. I notice since they mix the spicy salmon in a sauce that you can't really tell that the spicy salmon looks old compared to the regular salmon. I also saw unique options for the proteins, like Kimchi Shrimp, Lava Tuna, Hawaiian Imitation Crab, Fire Salmon, etc. which I liked a lot cause it made it seem different from other Poke places. Also unique sauces too, like Kimchi Sauce. Service was good too, they had two people working which is nice cause I usually go and there's only really one person on slow days. I wanted to try this place and I regret it. A few things didn't seem fresh and the spring mix seems to not even been rinsed. I ignored it but when I start eating I feel a fish bone. I ignored it cause it happens but then my son also had one with a bone too. Well I found 4 pieces of salmon with bone. That is very upsetting as this is diced and should have not been missed. Plus the portions are very small with fish. This could have caused issues with my son if he had swallowed it. I'm not sure because I was there about an hour before it closed but this is unacceptable.
