A few weeks back, my son and I were in the San Fernando area visiting family and handling a few things at my father's office. Once that was wrapped up, the late-morning hunger kicked in. As I was scrolling through nearby options, it hit me. We were less than half a mile from one of my old-time favorites. Quick drive up the road and boom. There we were. This place holds some history for me. When I was about 15 or 16, this was my very first restaurant job as a busboy. Back then, the name was flipped around, but walking in now, the vibe felt almost exactly the same. I hadn't been back in a solid 10 to 15 years, so that alone was worth the visit. The parking lot is on the smaller side, but around 10:30 am on a weekday, it was totally manageable. We were seated quickly. I shared my brief backstory with our server, who laughed, confirmed the name change, and casually mentioned he wasn't even born yet when I worked there. No hard feelings. Tip remained intact. Coffee and water came out fast. My son and I both ordered the three pancakes with two poached eggs. Simple, classic, and solid. The presentation was straightforward, which I'm perfectly fine with. Prices have crept up a bit over the years, as expected. Adding a side of bacon or sausage as part of the plate might add a little more value, but the food itself is delivered. Would I go back? Yeah, absolutely. Nostalgia alone earns that. Next time, I might switch it up and go with the breakfast burrito. If memory serves, the chorizo is legit. If you haven't been, give it a try. Sometimes the best meals come with a side of memories.

Always a delicious way to start the day. Friendly neighborhood family vibe and solid comfort food. We are always greeted cheerfully by the servers and today, even a couple tables of gentleman, lingering over coffee greeted us. Awesomeness! For me, when I'm craving pancakes, only Heavenly pancakes will do. Here, pancakes are a "plump", perfect thickness with a cake-like dense texture and sweet taste. Today I chose the ham and cheese omelette with a side of pancakes(3). Hubs went with the burger patty and eggs w/side of French fries and white toast. Everything delicious! Restaurant and bathrooms are kept clean and there's plenty of free parking in their lot. That being said, weekends - especially Sunday - get very busy. Arrive before 10am and you'll have a shorter wait. We arrived at 7:30am and sat right away. HEAVENLY WILL ALWAYS BE MY #1 CHOICE FOR PANCAKES! Cheers!

Service was bad. Our waiter did not bring our coffee after 3 times asking for it. Had to call his attention to get our coffee. Checked in only once with us, yet restaurant isn't even full at all. Took 20 minutes to get our food. The pancakes were like underdone. Almost chewy to a point couldn't even cut them right. They crumbled. Not the best time by far... sorry just a bad experience overall. It is just not the same as it used to be. It was not a heavenly experience.

Worked up an appetite after a workout in the park, this place was near by so stopped in for breakfast. The dining area was pretty empty but there were several walk in orders. Very festive decor, holiday season is in full effect. The cashier was very helpful and pleasant, pointing out menu options to consider. I ordered the he country breakfast. The hash browns were golden brown and the eggs and sausage were on point but the pancakes were the highlight of the meal, fluffy and light, really good with the warm syrup and melting butter. Very good.

Not my first time here but for some reason their chicken changed from the past few times I tried it. I loved it in the past so juicy but nice crispy outside but now it was just overcooked. My waitress was friendly, but I don't understand why my eggs and potatoes were brought out before my chicken with waffle. Most places serve your meal all together. They have a friendly staff, a lot of regular customers came in, you can tell they were regulars from conversations they were having. Unfortunately I won't be returning to this place. One good thing that came out of this was learning that if I download the McDonald's app I will only pay $1.00 for my coffee instead of $3.00 so thanks for the tip.

I ordered delivery breakfast for Father's Day and I was very pleased with my order, arrived quickly, order was correct and food was delicious!! We haven't been to the actual location for a few years, but I'm sure we will stop by soon for a tasty breakfast.

I remember this place used to be good, after the last experience I wouldn't come here again. I got the monte cristo omelette which is just under $20. What a disaster. I understand this is a diner, but they put very little effort into the dish. A slice of cheese was tossed on top, omelette was bland, and not fluffy like you'd expect an omelette at a restaurant to come to you. Should have stayed home for breakfast. The upside was the waitress was really nice and made sure to refill our coffees and check in on us. She was very attentive to all her tables and served with a smile.

Cozy little diner . A little overpriced for portion sizes in my opinion . Quality and taste were typical diner .

    Crunchy onion rings! Yum!

I met a friend for breakfast here for both our first times. I chose the French toast with powdered sugar and a side of onion rings (I know...weird combo, but so good! Sweet and salty). My friend had eggs with polish sausage and fried potatoes and toast. My French toast tasted different. I think it had an almond flavoring that just didn't appeal to me. My onion rings were nice and crunchy, which I love. My friend ate her food and found it to be just okay. Our waitress, Claudia, was pleasant, but busy. The place was lively! Lots of people eating in there. But like someone else said, the prices here are high. $27.00 and change for 4 sliced pieces of French Toast and onion rings. That's steep. Not to mention they do charge for a takeout box...yeah. Add a tip to that and it's a bit too much for me. At least we were able to say we tried Heavenly Pancakes.

Over priced Heavenly Pancakes on Maclay

Prices are insane here. Last time they changed .50 cents for a to go container. They charged .10 for a bag to go on top of that. They charged almost $5 for 3 corn tortillas. Almost $5 for 2 very thin strips of bacon. Egg and chorizo place is almost $20 for not well cooked chorizo and a side or chopped potatoes or 3 pancakes. Their fries are great. Their pancakes are great. But it's even cheaper to go eat sushi. Or for breakfast at Egg plantation. You get a lot more food. Way better and bigger coffee for less. It was $50 with a very mediocre tip. Last month in Feb I took my mom and son for breakfast. $70! Grilled cheese and fries, eggs and toast with hash browns, my mom got scrambled egged with tomato on the side $17! I don't know if I'll be going there again. Every time I go I say the same thing. That it's insane and I won't go back. Then a month later after forgetting why I stopped going, I'm there again.

First visit at local spot with my friends for breakfast…read more Open seating, very spacious. Decor is rustic with high ceilings and a little industrial but the contrast works and feels warm. Lots of light and big screen TV looks like a great place to watch sports. Cafeteria style, order up front and they bring to your table. I checked out the menu the night before and had already settled on getting pancakes. When I got there I was a little bit more hungry so I decided to get a side of bacon as well as fresh squeeze juice. I really enjoy fresh squeeze juice (I saw a little sign) and I did not see that on the menu so I thought I would try it. Orange and carrot juice is my go to. Pancakes were good, bacon crispy and juice was refreshingly delicious. I admit my meal was a bit pricey -I wish I had seen the specials that were advertised outside on the outside only restaurant window. I wouldn't have ordered everything ala cart. My total was $32 including tip. I believe in supporting local businesses but even for me that busted my budget for breakfast. Would be a nice spot for small groups too. I will definitely be back to try one of their daily breakfast special.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. I waited 40 minutes for my order, only to be told that my…read morereceipt was never printed for the kitchen, so my food was never even started. Not once during those 40 minutes did anyone bother to check on the status of my order or notify me that there was a problem. To make matters worse, when I requested a refund, I was told it would take 7 days for the money to be returned to my card. Funny how the restaurant had no problem taking my money instantly, but somehow needs a week to give it back after failing to provide the food I paid for. What's even more frustrating is that this is the SECOND time this exact thing has happened to me at this location. Clearly, there are serious issues with their order management process, and no effort has been made to fix them. The final insult was the shift manager, who sat there smirking while I left frustrated and empty-handed. There was no sincere apology, no attempt to make things right, and no sense of accountability. After two experiences like this, I can confidently say I won't be returning. Customers deserve better communication, better service, and basic respect for their time and money.
