Tim was on top of it making sure that everything was picked up and delivered as promised. When we ran into an issue with the dock we were using, he was able to do some quick thinking and get a tech on-site for us on Saturday morning before the event. I could not recommend Tim or Ryder more for the services provided to us on May 4. I will 100% be using them again.

Before that, I did not know about Avis so I went to every other car renting place in Charlotte, but none of them had cars available. I was devastated because I actually booked the car at enterprise 3 days prior the trip and the last minute they told me that they did not have a car for me. After running and calling every where, I found Avis Budget, came there in tears because I thought I am going to have to cancel my trip now. But they gave me a car in 2 minutes!!! I was so happy!! The real edge that Penske has is their trucks. They are all current models - they turn them (sell them to the competition!) every 22 months! The truck we rented was clean, comfortable and had A/C, automatic transmission and cruise control. It drove like and SUV, not a truck. Drew Cross, the owner of the Penske franchise where we picked up the truck was easy to work with and thorough in explaining everything we needed to know. The ONLY reason this is not a 5 star review is that Penske has stopped leasing Vans for non-business use. A large van would have been more than adequate for our load size, but it was not an option. This is the second time I have used Penske and I'm never disappointed.

You have to call the actual hardware store itself. I had to ask an employee at a neighboring company where the entrance was, and that's how I found out. Upon arrival, it took about 10 minutes for a Penske associate to come and assist me after being paged. Next, I was told that the truck I had reserved wasn't available, even though two were sitting outside. I was told I'd have to get a larger truck at no additional cost to me. I did not want that. I wanted the truck I reserved. It was then that I found out that, though my reservation was for that day, the other person who had reserved the same-size truck wasn't due to pick up her truck until three days later. The associate called and asked if the renter for the Monday reservation would be okay with a larger truck, so I could get the truck I reserved, but she refused. I was told they didn't have my truck available. Then magically, the truck showed up after I pointed out that there were two of the same-sized trucks outside that I had reserved. Apparently, one of their staff members did not inventory one of the trucks into the system after it was returned. So, I wound up getting the truck I reserved. The entire process took close to 40 minutes. I was frustrated, and no compensation was offered for my troubles. This wasn't impressive, given it was my first time renting from Penske. The associate seemed incompetent and disorganized, to say the least. It was a horrible experience. The truck didn't seem stable while I was driving, but it got me to my destination safely. I don't blame Penske for the issue; I blame only this particular location. My advice? RUN!!!

Andre was incredibly supportive and allowed me to cancel the smaller trailer and rent the larger one. By now it's 7:00 and they're closing time. It gets worse friends. Andre comes out to attach the trailer only to inform me that the ball on my trailer is too big. Andre once again to the rescue. He and I go back into the store where he assists me in purchasing the correct size ball and back to the trailer. Already two steps ahead of me, he has the tools in hand and gets the ball swapped out and the trailer attached in no time. At no time did Andre act like he was put out or frustrated at being held up in closing and going home. He provided well beyond fantastic customer service. Now we are needing storage again, to include parking. This is the cleanest place EVER and the staff are warm and friendly and know how to listen to what the customer needs. It's not a chain storage facility at all. The manager keeps the facility very clean. Even the restrooms are so nice and clean.It is a gated property which makes us feel safe storing there. Local is the best. No thanks to the bug infested and non present staff at other big box facilities.
