We went back and forth of me needing a NC drivers license and I got it to them by the date they asked and something happened with their communication and they said they didn't have it, which I have proof of. They cancelled me wrongfully while I'm in a brand new car. Then they sent me to collections for the remaining policy amount when THEY cancelled ME WRONGFULLY. $770 to collections when I did nothing wrong. Their communication is horrible, they said they would call me back about this and never did then I got a letter in the mail from collections! I had a leak in my tire and thought AAA would be a quick patch / inexpensive fix, it was not. It took 3+ hours after dropping the car off for the service agent to say they couldn't patch it and that a new tire would be over $300. Seeing I could get 2 tires for that price online I booked an appointment at my dealership to get a second opinion. The dealership added a patch for $20 no problem. read more

He asked me to write this review because of Paul, other staff members and the efficiency from start to finish. In 5 years he has never asked me to write a review on his behalf. Paul and staff.....GREAT work! We had four tires and a cracked rim replaced. Also the tires were balanced and an oil change. Great prices and everything was done within 24 hours. Terrific service this morning getting my oil change done here. I made an appointment online for the first of the day and when they opened, the service manager took me first. I left the car with them and walked up the street two blocks and had breakfast. They called not 30 minutes later and my car was done. There was a brief attempt to upsell me to get the fuel system cleaning for an additional $60 but I booted that until next time. They have a number of "e-coupons" for auto services so if you're a AAA member, check them out. When I returned to pick up the car, my eye spotted a San Francisco "pocket guide" on one of the shelves, so I picked that up and paid for it as well. I've taken my car here before some routine maintenance. They are sooo easy and convenient. The shop is located right on South Blvd. If you miss their open hours they have a key drop by the front door. You simply fill out the envelope with your information (name, number, AAA number, description of problem), slip your keys in the envelop and drop it in the mailbox. My husband had a hard time seeing where the envelop drop was ... it's a little slit on the top of the Mail drop facing you. We've worked with Sam and Jane before and they are so nice and work really hard to ensure your needs are being met. Seeing as they are so convenient prices tend to be a little high, but it is manual labor and it's guaranteed by your club card. We're lucky to have such a great shop nearby! read more

The place itself is clean and convenient even with all the new traffic on South Blvd. Here's the drawback: 1) the passport pictures could be more of what you want and not what they deem Dept of State will accept. 2) Ordering currency online will result in a fee. Call it in and more fees. This system forces you to walk into a store front so I guess they can upsell you. I'm like my word.... I'm not my grandparents. Let's just be real this set up caters to a certain population/generation. And guess what else... I may not be the target group but, "Hello!!! We are here buying your membership." and I don't always want to be inconvenienced with a phone call and a trip when I can click and do it myself online. 3) Only way to waive the fee, online, is to exchange $1000 USD to whatever. Increment minimums are purchase at least $200 in USD so I asked for $100 in Euros and Krones. Well, I had to bump up because we didn't hit $100 after the exchange. So up to $106 and $102. 4) The passport holder with RFID protection comes in nice colors but overpriced. I was okay with getting 1 because it was lime green but the kid found a nicer one in JCPenney for 2/3 less than what AAA charges their members. Well, JCP won. 5) We were able to correct the Danish Krones to Norwegian Krones with a simple phone call and I still received my money the next business day. Now, that's nice. They buy back whatever you have EXCEPT no coins. Beware: The 800# folks & online says it'll be 2 days. All in all, I think the service is 5 stars as the ladies working here really want to help and make themselves available. 0 stars for the antiquated process of all things in person 3 stars for the options that are available 3.5 stars for the exchange rate 1 star for trying to always upsell. I found a hole in my tire right at 6 pm, when most shops close down. AAA was closest to me, so I stopped over, even though I expected they'd be closed or ask me to come back in the morning. I received great service this morning getting an oil change and having my car inspected. AAA was really great because I initially had an appt last week but had to cancel due to a work thing popping up. They were able to reschedule me quickly and at my earliest convenience. Prices for an oil change are higher than what the dealer charges. I got 7 quarts of full synthetic oil for a 3.5 liter engine. Total was $117 with $20 off coupon plus member discount. After I questioned it, the rep recalculated it and it magically became $108. Now my Lexus dealer only charges $98. Since I was already there, I got it changed but not going back for sure. Update: So when I was getting the oil change they recommended front brake pads. I declined. Yesterday I was at my Lexus dealer and asked them to check my brake pads. Well they told me all 4 were in the green meaning they were FINE!!! I trusted AAA but his location not only over charges but tried to steal your money. I was shocked by even my dealer telling me the brakes were fine since usually dealers over charge and recommend useless crap. Avoid this location at all costs! My regular garage suddenly sent me to the dealer for not one but both my vehicles in the same week.. after 6 years of regular service. Looks like they got a new manager I'm not quite sure... in any case I'm thrilled to have used AAA. They took me right away (scheduled), fixed one car at no charge (just needed engine oil) and fixed my main car in a few hours (coolant tank cracked) - they replaced it and put on awesome new wiper blades and topped all the fluids .. for one low price ... and no one thought about sending me away to the dealers. Sam from AAA south Blvd is the best! My old license plate screws were rusted onto my car. I enlisted the strongest guys I knew to pry the screws off but no one could do it, so I headed to AAA to see if they could help. While I was a little late to my appointment Sam saw me right away and got to work! He was able to take off the rusty screws and replace my license plate within 30 minutes. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! If you value safety and customer service don't here. They let us leave with NO BRAKE FLUID in the car without telling us. Which caused an accident and that they took zero responsibility of of course. Talked to the manager who just pointed fingers along with the regional manager both extremely rude. My second and last time using this AAA. Both times I have come in for a simple oil change and have been told it will take about an hour. Each time, it ends up being at least 2 hours. They have also told me I need new tires every time I've come in. And I've heard them tell 3 different customers the same thing- that the treads are worn out. My wife and I broke down on I-26 at mile marker 134 going into Columbia SC on 16 July 2020. Called AAA SC for assistance. What a joke! This company left us stranded on the side of the road for 6 hours in 90+ degree heat. AAA could not locate a towing company that could pull my F-250 and my 5th wheel RV at the same time. Then we were told that we could not ride with the tow driver when they were supposed to pick up my truck. I had to call Diligent Towing and Transport in Lexington,SC on my own and was picked up within 30 minutes after making the call. I was told by AAA that they were going to charge me over $500 for towing. Diligent did the same thing for $400. I have been a AAA member for many years and this has been the worst experience. Never have I dealt with a company that had such a don't care attitude for their members! read more

Great spot for car repairs, I go in regularly for my oil change and tire services. I went in last week and they have done a great job on my Honda Accord brakes also my 60k fuel injection service. They kept me in the picture and gave me printouts on what due on my next visit. The manger sam was very helpful and professional. read more

My sister took her car here because it was overheating. They correctly diagnosed the radiator had a small hole. The estimate was $850.00 to start with but if they found the radiator cooling fan was not working properly the cost would be more. This is an outrageous price. A new radiator costs $150.00 tops. Time to remove the old and put a new one in 1 hour max. I have done it myself. I asked the technician how much they charge per hour for labor. He said $122.00 per hour. I asked him if he thought it would take 6 hours to do this job. He then told me if I know how to do it then I should do it. I told him he was taking advantage of people. Especially women who know nothing about cars. I promised him I would do a review on how he is ripping people off. read more

What a fantastic experience!! First let me start by saying that Sam Freij, the Car Care Manager, is absolutely phenomenal! Having been out of town for a short time, I returned to Charlotte to find my car with a dead battery, flat tire, and a previous AC issue that I had not yet had the opportunity to fix. After using other car services in the area I found that I never left feeling confident. Today I decided to try AAA Car Care Center and am so happy that I did! I was only going to have my tire and battery fixed, but further inquired about my AC thinking I would most likely have to take my car to the dealership, which in turn would have cost more than I am able to spend at the current time. Moreover, I was just going to skip the AC fix and simply endure the heat. However, Sam saved the day! He listened, assessed the issues, then effectively and knowledgeably corrected those issues along with his excellent service team!! I Went in for Michelin tires and a wheel alignment. They did an excellent job. Replaced my tires plus aligned my Lexus Also topped off all my fluids and made sure to test my battery. In addition they told me that my brakes are okay at this point but let's keep a close eye on them possibly next oil change. Yes, you read that correctly. They were so helpful and informative. I know absolutely nothing about cars and would be the easiest person to take advantage of in the auto industry. Both times, they were extremely honest and trustworthy, never trying to sell me parts or upgrades I didn't need. I ended up needed to replace one of the tires and they were great at laying out all of my choices and options. The second time I was able to get a simple patch put on and Sam couldn't have been more wonderful to work with. They were quick, efficient, and professional. I'll absolutely be back! I was traveling from Alabama to Charlotte, and my car broke down on I85. Took it to this facility the following morning, and they told me that my head gasket was blown and that I needed a new engine. The quotes they gave me were $4000 and $6000. THANK GOODNESS I had it towed elsewhere for a second opinion, because I did not need a new engine, and the total cost ended up being around $365.00. The mechanic at the second garage said that I absolutely did not need and new engine, and that no reputable car center should have told me that. I am disgusted by this facility and will be reporting them to AAA Carolina. I drove back to Alabama today from Charlotte, and I had no problems. My engine ran perfectly after being worked on by the second shop. Avoid this facility at all cost!!!! read more
