Horrible experience! Basically, I took my business elsewhere and I have been getting railroaded by…read morethis Corporate Bully ever since. I received yet another replacement truck because every other month the trucks I had were having issues. Last vehicle had significant noticeable damage. Most noticeably was damage to the roof which my crew took pics of. Upon return, the manager came out and specifically looked for hail damage TO THE ROOF OF THE TRUCK that he claims was not there. They could not provide any pics showing that the already damaged truck DID NOT have prior hail damage. I escalated the matter to a regional manager who agreed to absolve some of the charges. Of the remaining balance due by myself, another thousand would be credited as I made a thousand dollar deposit. Manager told me he wud put in system and claims dept will reach out to arrange payment of my remaining balance ($1100). When claims reached out via email they still had the balance wrong as there was no credit for my $1k deposit. I advised and copied the regional manager on the email (who never responded). Instead of exercising due diligence and following up with leadership, they instead submitted a back door fraudulent insurance claim for more than double the amount I owed. No business ethics at all...shady to say the least. To add insult to injury, they already had claims out against the truck for previous damage that they never got repaired. Take ur business to Ryder.

Dear Sirs: I am…read morewriting to tell you about our recent rental with Enterprise in Bridgeton (Earth City), MO. During our rental of a moving box truck, we had a flat tire on the highway (two states away from Missouri). After calling Josh at the Earth City, MO office, he immediately gave me the number for road side assistance. The operator with Enterprise found a tow truck for us. Our truck was taken to an overnight facility and then towed to a Firestone Tire repair location the following morning.. Thru out the two days that we had the vehicle, we were called several times from Enterprise to insure that everything was okay. The Enterprise staff at the Earth City location, were SO NICE! I felt like we were family and they wanted to make sure that we were doing okay. They were so apologetic for trouble with the tire and they wanted to make sure that we knew that no towing or repair charges would have to be paid by us ( a huge relief!). Josh, the contact person at the Earth City location with whom I initially made the reservation and the subsequent emergency call; Darlene who worked with Josh and Carlos, the Supervisor of the St Louis Enterprise rentals (314-319-7352), all repeatedly called me to reassure me that all would be taken care of and they wanted to make sure that I was satisfied with the Rental. They were all FABULOUS!! Honestly, this was the first time that I have used Enterprise truck rental for a move because we normally use U-Haul or Budget, but, Enterprise gave us a much better deal on the cost AND, then, after this rental experience, we will be using them again. Truly, a wonderful experience! THANK YOU!!! Anna Boulware Rental Agreement 16L9FH

The truck was rented from 9.20 to 9,22. The truck was unloaded in Indianapolis on 9.22 and taken to a local Budget Truck rental location at around 5:00 pm (estimated time). No one was in the office when my wife and I got there (she followed me to bring me back). I followed all required protocols. I re-filled the truck with a full tank of gas, dropped off the keys and paperwork as requested, and returning the truck on the 22nd, figured that was it for my dealings with Budget Truck Rental. I was happy with the initial cost of $336.08 that was charged to my account. Fast forward to 2023..... Tax season.... I am going through credit card receipts pulling together information for deductions and what do I find but an additional charge on my credit card receipt from Budget Truck Rental, but from Indianapolis, where I dropped the truck off at. The charged was for $352.24. Budget claims it was for excess mileage (76 miles @ $1.05/mile), and when they they calculate the mileage do they consider the mileage from the initial rental location to your home and them from the new home back to the Budget location where you are dropping the truck off at?, and and they claimed I kept the truck one day later than contracted for. And the two day charge for the truck out of St. Louis was $177.00 FOR TWO DAY, but the charge for the extra day (?) was $150.00. When I called Budget and finally got a hold of someone, I got the standard reply "I'm sorry sir, there is nothing we can do." No, there is plenty you "can do", it is just you "won't do" anything. I am waiting to speak with a supervisor, (and waiting), but until that time, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING TO ANY OTHER TRUCK RENTAL COMPANY IF YOU NEED TO MOVE ANYTHING, EITHER LOCALLY OR LONG DISTANCE. BUDGET IS RIP YOU OFF AND NOT GIVE A DAMN THAT THEY DO IT. If the supervisor ever contacts me, and something is resolved, I will post an update. But at this point in time, I WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND ANY USE BUDGET FOR ANYTHING. Since I posted this review, although I was promised a callback from a supervisor (someone who could make an actual decision), I have not been contacted by anyone... I GUESS BUDGET CORPORATE JUST DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT CUSTOMER RELATIONS!!!! (3.14.23)

The guy was on the phone the entire time. Didn't take me out to the lot to look over trucks, tell me anything I needed to know, just handed me keys and waved me away. Truck itself was not in good condition. The ramp didn't work. Holly was unprofessional and argumentative the entire time.

Please, if you can go anywhere other than Penske when you need a commercial vehicle, BY ALL MEANS,…read moreUSE THE ALTERNATE COMPANY. Penske was unreliable, inconsiderate, dishonest and now a thief for lack of a better word. Let me start by saying that I've used this business a lot over the years, had very few problems, but this experience has left me dumb-founded and has persuaded me to never use them again and I will advise everyone I know to never use them either. So about 2 weeks ago I had ordered a lift gate truck to use one evening. I got the extra insurance too, just because I like to be safe for those accidents that always seem to happen when you don't get the insurance. A lady comes out with a clip board and a check list and hands a me the keys and says , "She's been checked over, and is good to drive!" Well that proved to be a lie. My employee, on the way back to my house, calls me on the highway and says," Hey, that truck is smoking up a storm, and I'm pretty sure that it isn't supposed to be coming from anywhere other than the exhaust, and it smells awful." And right then and there, in hindsight, I should've just called Penske then or something, but we had a busy night ahead of us and I had really no time to deal with that and the work we needed to do, so we went ahead with getting it to the loading sight hoping that it wouldn't be anything more than some oil on the engine burning off, and their employee had inspected it and gave it to good to go, so it must just be a little oil they must of tipped off or something, right? We load the truck, and let me tell you it was heavy lifting even with the lift gate, 6 hours later, about 11pm, on the highway, we notice that the smoke has gotten much worse and the transmission was red-lining (over-heating). We pull off to a QT down the road. Call Penske, and wait for a mechanic, they won't send a new truck out unless the mechanic can't fix it. Let me also so say that on the website and paperwork when I bought the extra insurance it says that Penske will have you back on the road in 2 hours or less, try 6 hours and that wasn't even Penske that got us back on the road. I had to pay for someone else to come and get me. Now, They wasted my time, my employees time (that I had to pay for), I had to pay for the Uber and now all my things are stuck on their truck and &then Penske calls me to tell me that I need to come move my stuff (probably because it's extremely heavy) and they we're going to charge me extra for this if I don't come and get it and they only gave me a short time to do so. And I'm thinking, really?? It's only on your truck still because IT BROKE DOWN ON ME, it broke down after THEIR EMPLOYEE okay-ed it to be driven, and you going to charge me EXTRA when I thought they should charge me less if not give me a full refund, considering I had the vehicle for less that 8 hours before it even broke down. And then I get a call from Jeffery Dinkins, the manager at the Earth City location, Jeffery Dinkins and I make a deal, the deal was if I come and get my stuff off "his" truck that he wouldn't charge my credit card a penny. So Monday, November 1st, 2023, me and the same employees that help me get this stuff on the truck plus 2 more guys, go and rent a truck (that we had to rent from a different company because Penske wouldn't give me one for free so why rent one from them when they have already proven to be unreliable? Right? ) to now go back to Penske's truck lot to unload my stuff into a new truck and go one with my life. So here I am thinking it's all said and done and then I check my credit card account online just because I had a really bad feeling that this Jeffery Dinkins was gonna double cross me and low-and-behold, he did. They charged my credit card for the rental after we had made a deal that he wasn't going to do that so long as I came and got my things off his truck. (Also, when we showed up to get my stuff off the Penske truck, Jeffery Dinkins had left early that day, even though he was going to meet us there and no one else there knew what was going on, that's why I had a feeling to check my account). To top it all off, Jeffery Dinkins will not return my calls. Everytime I call their office, they send me to his office phone and he sends me straight to voicemail. Jeffery Dinkins is a thief, a coward and cannot be trusted. Use a different company if you can, or a different location if you can't, please. I don't want this to happen to anyone else. Jeffery Dinkins knew he was going to charge my account the whole time. He just didn't want to have to deal with the heavy load AND he wanted to get paid. Trouble business practices if you ask me. Don't be a victim of Penske or Jeffery Dinkins, go somewhere else!

Does size really matter? When it comes to moving trucks, the answer is yes…read more I recently was moving from STL to Godfrey and need a medium sized truck to move my larger furniture items. All of my boxed and smaller accent items had already been moved. To be pro-active I stopped by here to make a reservation for the truck size I needed. Before going in, I looked over a couple of trucks that were in the parking lot and I knew which one was best for me. When speaking with the young lady, I told her which one I needed in the lot and pointed to it out the door. I now realize that would be like going to a car dealership and a telling the sales professional, I'll take that one as you point out to the salesroom floor. There's a lot of grey area there and opportunities for misunderstandings. I don't fault her, she asked all the right questions. She asked if I was moving appliances and I said, no. She asked how many rooms and I told her what I had left to move was about a one bedroom apartment. She agreed, the size I selected would work. When I showed up with my cousins on the day of the move, the truck they pulled up front for me was not the size I imagined, It was much smaller. I told the young man who was assisting me that morning, that I need a much bigger one and again pointed to the one I wanted on the lot. Lucky for me, he had one available and easily made the switch. My cousins and I got the move done in record time and we're all over the age of 60. So I was surprised that I received a price adjustment on my rental by returning the truck earlier then anticipated. I was impressed that all the necessary paperwork was mostly done electronically. Which was nice, since I was doing this during the pandemic. I also bought a variety boxes in different sizes, while I prepped for this move and each time I visited I was impressed by the friendly customer service. They also took COVID precautions seriously by having tape markings on the floor to encourage social distancing and staff wearing mask. If you need a rental truck, moving supplies or a storage space in the Riverbend area, I highly recommend this place. When: October 23, 2020 Why: Fleeing the big city to small town life.
