This location is in a weird location on Boundary. Boundary is a curvy road that can be accessed from either Turpin or Boniface. I checked out the truck inside. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I checked the truck in through the website. It is a little involved but totally worth it if you want to turn it in after hours. The check in process does require a smart phone and several pictures. So do plan for that. It's not just and easy, "drop the keys off" kind of thing. Lots of great add ons and packaging materials inside the building. They also offer a free month of storage in their indoor storage facility with any rental purchase. It's nice in there!

Beware of unauthorized fees and rude management! Check your contract!…read more When I returned my rental, I was hit with a surprise $10 charge ($5 for a dolly, $5 for furniture padding) because the plastic tags on the pre-staged equipment in the truck were broken. Neither of these items--nor any fees for breaking a seal--were anywhere in my signed rental contract. When I brought this up, the location manager was incredibly rude, dismissive, and refused to help, claiming it was just "company policy." However, internal policy does not override a signed legal contract. Thankfully, the corporate live chat team was very kind, helpful, and professional. They escalated the issue immediately and opened formal dispute. Because the fees were completely uncontracted, they issued a refund for those uncontracted charges. Check your final receipts closely here. If the local manager tries to bully you into paying for items missing from your paperwork, bypass them completely and demand a corporate dispute file number through Uhaul Live Chat online. Thank goodness for Uhaul Live Chat support!

I've been renting here for about two years now. It's been an average experience that just dropped…read moreto poor. Going back a little, I called in my usual monthly payment back in October. After finalizing my October payment, I asked the man about the deadline for my next payment. He said I was 'good until December'. I asked him about November, and he said I made enough payments to cover November, so I was 'good until December'. But now I'm confused because I'm here calling in my payment for December as per what the man said in October, but this other guy's talking to me about a $70 late fee. $20 for the first few days then another $50 after. Apparently they sent two letters, but the first letter must've gotten lost in the mail as I never got it. However, I got the second letter today saying I owe for November, and that the late fee was $70 and if I didn't pay immediately, they would move forward with 'remedies available to them'. I asked the staff member if I could speak to his manager, but apparently the manager doesn't usually hang around on site. How convenient. This is the first time I've been this late on a payment, and it's because of bad information that their staff member gave me. Instead of correcting their mistake, they're expecting me to pay for their staff members' incompetence and holding my property until I pay for their mistake. The staff member on the phone was quick to point out it wasn't him, but another staff member. It's really disgusting how they don't hold any kind of accountability for the errors of their staff members, and still expect customers to pay for THEIR mistakes. I'm cringing to think how quick he distanced himself from his co-worker, trying to cover his own @$$. He kept bringing up some other lady who didn't want to pay her storage, as if trying to equate me to her. So I cut his @$$ off and told him "I don't know who she is, and she's got nothing to do with me. I'm calling about my situation and the fact that your staff member put me in this predicament with no manager for me to speak to". Now I'm thinking to just get my property out of there and move over to the new U-Haul storage facility right around the corner. I don't care if they cost a little more. These guys boast being 'affordable', but after two years with them I'm not impressed. Especially when it would snow in, and I can't even drive to the back to my storage unit. They have low rates but you get what you pay for so caveat emptor. My suggestion, avoid these clowns.

They seem to keep the place nice and free of trash and water. Access is 24 hours 7 days a week.read more

After researching our options, we decided the U-Pack was the way to go, and I'm really glad we did. Customer service was incredible, everyone was so friendly and helpful, answering my questions patiently. Goods arrived in great condition, and the only things that were damaged were because we didn't pack them carefully enough. We can definitely tell that some jostling happened, but that's to be expected. They came in under budget, which seems like it almost never happens. I have nothing but great things to say about them. They dropped off the container when they said they would, and picked it up promptly when we were finished. They found a creative way to park the container safely in our driveway in Anchorage despite the 100 inches of snow that has fallen this year. Our things arrived within the promised timeframe, and in fact they arrived early. Overall, our move was a real hassle, but it had nothing to do with U-Pack and everything to do with the fact that we are three pack rats who lived in Alaska for 25 years and collected far too much stuff.

Both times the was a wonderful experience. The drivers were courteous and professional. I will use their service if it is ever an option.

Are you moving? Never done it before? READ EVERYTHING BELOW…read more Misha and Roby were fantastic to work with this past Saturday. My former and current landlords BOTH forgot to tell me that I needed a permit to park a moving truck. Then they BOTH forgot to tell me other tenants from each building were also moving out. The move took longer than it should have because the elevator had to be shared with other movers lugging stuff. Moving Checklist: These are mostly things no one told I had to prepare for so here you go. You're welcome. -Parking Permits: Most big cities required it now. Depending on what permit type you need, you might be given special "No Parking" signs with the day and time of your move for you to post on the street. Do it, because moving truck parking tickets are paid by the people moving, not the moving company. I moved from Mid-Wilshire area to Pasadena -Check with your landlord to be sure no one else is moving on the same day as you. If someone else is moving that day, be sure you coordinate so as to not slow each other down with the elevator. -No trucks are allowed on the 110 North...I didn't know this and called my movers ahead of time so they could re-route. The gentlemen who delivered my fridge told me tickets for violations are upwards of $1,000. -Don't buy boxes. Check Craigslist, grocery stores or other businesses for free boxes. I packed a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and last year I moved a whole medical practice and didn't buy a single box.
