During my extensive roadside vacation, I Internet researched trucks large enough to tow my toy hauler and of course found out enterprise can take care me. Internet Price didn't look too bad so four hours later I made that call to schedule a reservation. This location is fleet so it's only open for a couple hours on Saturday morning but that's good for me! The wonderful lady behind the counter, an angel sent from heaven's of the rental car gods, saw my extensive rental history and got me hooked up with a much better rate. When I told them that a truck with no additional equipment wasn't helpful, the guy working the counter explain, " well you can't blame us, we don't guarantee that we will have everything". Which is about the stupidest thing I have ever heard. When you rent equipment weeks in advance, this is the expectation. It isn't like like they didn't know. They didn't call another location, didn't call me in advance to let me know they didn't have what I needed. Then they somehow figured the mileage at exactly .100 miles. Which is just not possible since I drove from gilbert to Tempe once round trip. Google maps has this trip at 37 miles max. These guys stink. Lots of better U-Haul franchisees around town.

I call the morning of my move to reconfirm the truck and this guy tells me he doesn't have the truck! What's worse is that he lies to me and says he had been trying to call me and left a message. Everyone knows that an iphone would register the call and notify if a voicemail was left. Then he tells me he will try and find a truck but it may be two hours before he notifies me. My move was scheduled in an hour, so i call the Budget central office and shortly thereafter they schedule a truck an hours drive from this location, and wait, get this, THEY RAISE THE PRICE of the rental by $125 FOR THEIR MISTAKE! I had no choice but to call UHAUL but the cost was $170 more! I emailed Budget and requested compensation for the cost difference, but i don't expect a refund. I will update if they do. The owner said she would call me back to confirm at 10ft had been found. I never received a call back nor does their phone have a voice mail to leave a message. The yard is a disater. I looks vacant and rundown, as do their trucks. They did not have to 10ft truck available when I arrived and kept trying to force a huge 16ft truck on me. When I asked to have them write on the receipt "no 10ft truck available at time of pick-up" as proof I was there, they refused. Well....wouldn't you know I got a bill on my CC statement of $50 for a no show - what??- I didn't no show, they didnt have the truck I ordered. Save your time and your money and go north up the street less than 1 mile and rent from U-haul. The matched the price budget quoted and gave me a 10ft truck with 175 miles on it. It still had a new truck smell...:)
