I had an excellent experience with Ben's Moving during my move from Mill Creek to Kirkland. Ben responded on very short notice during the holidays (I called him on New Year's Eve and was he was able to give me a quote for moving the next week). I called on Thursday to set up and he had two movers ready to go for 8 am on Saturday. Victor and Omar arrived right on time and were able to very quickly get my 1 bedroom apartment disassembled, packed into the truck, and moved over to Kirkland and reassembled. Overall, the move took about 2 hours (Ben's has a 3 hour minimum) and I was very satisfied with the results. I hired Ben's moving to move four couches in Seattle. I had reached out to several moving companies from Yelp and Craigslist. Ben's was the first to respond, and they were by far the cheapest. I wasn't doing a huge move, so I did't want to pay 'big company' prices. Ben's was available the next day, and let me know the fees up front. My husband is a disabled Iraq war veteran (Marine). We just bought a house and needed to move. He couldn't physically do it himself and I needed help ASAP (long story). I got in touch with Ben's and was not only astounded by their affordable prices but also their availability to help at the last minute. After reading several great reviews, and a couple of very poor reviews, I was skeptical about the service I would receive. I am thrilled by the service I received from Victor, Donny, Bruno and Omar. Being raised by an Italian from New Orleans and being Married to a Marine, I was more than impressed with these guys. They were very courteous, polite as worked their tails off. They worked VERY hard, efficiently and smoothly. After reflecting all day about the negative reviews I did read, and reflecting on the more than dozen moves we've personally made, I think those reviewers were being unrealistic. I was told it would be about a 5 hour move, but it ended up being a 6.5 hour move. I watched and kept an eye out to make sure I wasn't being taken advantage of and that is far from this case. I will definitely recommend Ben's and namely Victor, Omar, Bruno and Donnie to anyone I know who's moving ...and I know a lot being in the home lending industry. Just used Bens Moving service today. Was such an easy process from making the appointment to the actual move. Donny Rafael and Cesar were the actual movers and went over and beyond with my move. My sofa wouldn't fit through my entry up to the second floor. They lifted it through a balcony and then carried it up to the 3rd floor. Victor, Adrian, and Omar were incredible, strong and so impressively fast! we were just moving from a one bedroom apartment but had a lot of stuff including a lot of big heavy furniture. They moved everything out in just an hour and took such great care of our items by protecting and wrapping them securely ensuring nothing would be scratched. Then they got everything into our new place (which was up narrow stairs) just as carefully and quickly, again in just an hour. These three guys were the absolute best. These guys rock! We were looking for a moving company that was licensed and insured but didn't make you fill out a 5 page inventory sheet to quote you a price. When I saw their Yelp reviews it was an easy decision to go with them. So simple with these guys, you just pay by the hour based on how many guys you want and a small flat price for a fuel charge. And you definitely don't sacrifice quality or care by doing so. We requested 2 guys but they brought us 3 for the same price which was great because we had more stuff than we even imagined. Victor, Jose, and Raphael were simply awesome. They worked so hard in the pouring rain, wrapped and protected everything, pointed out any existing damage before they moved an item, had no problem moving us out of both our house and our storage unit a mile away, and even took precautions to limit the water and mud being tracked in at our new house with brand new carpet. A little bit of good customer service goes a very long way. These guys should learn that. When I first called, the gentleman was kind of rude and short with me, but I went ahead and scheduled because of their great reviews. A couple of weeks later, I had some questions so I sent a message and got no reply. We thought calling would work better so my husband called two days ago... Still, no response. Our move is in a week and we still have unanswered questions, and at this point, zero confidence that they will even show up. We decided to try a different company and when I let Ben's know that we would not need them and why the response was "OK." No! It is not OK. We used these guys cuz they have a 2 hour minimum instead of 3, which is nice. Booked a morning move with 2 movers at $85 an hour. They showed up on time but with 4 people then told me it was going to be a flat fee and tried to get $250 out of us. Showed them what we needed moved, which wasn't much furniture but a lot of stuff since the place we moved into was mostly furnished. They left a bunch of random stuff behind, some of the stuff was broken which we noticed after they left. Sorta feel like we got hustled and it sucks. Anyway, not all that pleased. UPDATED 4/2018: I decided to use Ben's Moving again after having such a great experience. Wow the second time around was opposite to the first time I used them. It was a different crew and definitely not 5 star service like the first time around therefore I'm giving a 1. The big difference the efficiency of the crew on their time and the care of our items; we found several scratches on our furniture and even a hole in our new box spring! After having a disastrous move the day before with another company, I called Ben's Moving for a hoisting service for my big couch from the first floor (townhouse) to the second floor since the company that had moved me told me that the couch could not fit on the stairs and it will be impossible to hoisting. Fortunately, Victor and Omar were not sure about that so they tried to hoist the sofa up the stairs and they make it in less than five minutes and the first attempt. These guys are like machines! Obviously they have experience in the business, they are very nice and they came to my house in less than an hour (I took the service that morning). They not only hoisted my couch, they also give me a energy shot because I was sure that morning that I would have to sell it and buy a smaller one. Great job! read more

Ben's moving was super amazing at completing our move on Sunday, July 31, 2016. We booked them last minute for next day moving service after our first movers were no call no shows. I was super devastated about our moving situation until Ben's Moving jumped in and did the job right! We got two guys and a truck they were super efficient, super fast, very accommodating, very patient...definitely got the job done to the standard I was hoping for and moved our possessions around our house very carefully and fit big things in tight spaces with no damage. You all need to know, this company is NOT permitted, NOT licensed (it was revoked back in 2016) and NOT registered with the UTC. (Utilities and Transportation Commission). This means they are operating illegally and anything damaged is not covered. They were issued a "cease and desist" order mid November 2018 to STOP performing moves. To confirm this, call the UTC in Olympia - as it's all public record. Because they are not regulated by the UTC, compare it to the BBB, if not registered, they can't be held accountable. So they break things, steal things, and I'm 100% positive NONE of these guys aren't background checked by the company. When they are registered, the UTC governs and checks their backgrounds, among other things. Remember, these people are IN YOUR HOUSE and have possession of your property at some point when you don't. And because drivers licenses are suspended, if they get pulled over, the truck load of things - YOUR things - gets towed. And I promise, you'll be the ones to have to pay to get it out of the tow yard. Are your personal belongings worth it? Go somewhere else. Comparable pricing is everywhere. AND you'll get moved by background checked, legitimate companies and movers who care about your things and don't steal. read more

Same thing happened to me as the other reviewer. The number is incorrect that is on yelp. The company drives a large yellow truck with Ben's on the front and back. Ordered 3 guys and he showed up with 4. The guys complained about how much they had to move, and didn't know how to pack the truck so I had to load my car and leave a bunch of items behind.
