I waited a week and a half to review to be sure I am not overreacting. I am not. The eyebrow wax is worse than you can imagine. My brows are thin, all I needed was to clean up the peach fuzz and a tiny bit of shaping below. She took off the entire inside corner of one brow, the peach fuzz isn't cleanly removed and left half-removed stubble, she made holes where there weren't any and left many hairs below the bottom edges. She trimmed them with scissors and left short hairs that stick straight out and can't be tamed with gel. Yes, I looked at them but I didn't have time to put on my glasses and the room was dark. She rushed me out, none too nicely, because she'd left a client mid manicure. She didn't speak any English so I couldn't communicate with her during the wax. My brows are humiliating. read more

I went here with my mom with no appointment and we were promptly greeted. They did a great job on the massages and preparation. Complimentary wine and all that. Unfortunately at the end, the paint on my toe nails were globby. The technician fixed then which was nice (at the request of the owner who noticed it was messed up), but it took extra time, and I could tell she wasn't happy with having to fix them so it was a little uncomfortable. I gave her a big tip because I appreciated her fixing it and they looked much better the second time, but really I wasn't very happy with her service. When I got back home my big toe was feeling a little sensitive but I thought maybe the nail was just cut too short. A few days later now, and I'm pretty sure I'm getting an ingrown toenail or something is infected because it is getting red in the area where I felt the sting after the pedicure. I think this place is OK but looking back the nail tech (Michele) didn't do a very great job and I would not recommend her. I would go to this place again but get a different nail tech. read more

I don't live in this side of town, but I was over here and needed to hang around for a couple of hours. I needed a pedicure too! I'm glad I stopped by! My nail tech was awesome and did everything I asked (short nails, super short). Any time I've asked anyone else for short nails, they don't do it bc they can't understand why I like it that way. It's a sensory issue with me. Normally I cut my own nails before I go somewhere, but since this was last min, no time and no clippers. Thanks to the tech that made me happy! read more

I will probably try a different place when I get my nails done next. While the base of my nails aren't bad I just expect more bang for my buck. I asked for a more beige/natural base (pictured) and they ended up too pink. She really struggled with the flowers, had to keep redoing them which added around 20 extra minutes to the appointment and I didn't like the way she left them. Towards the end you could tell she was rushing and just wanted to be done and said "its [the flowers] aren't going to look like the photo". Under the nails is very clunky and uncomfortable and there are little hairs/lint trapped in the top coat. They never offered me a drink and the place was not very clean. Dang man! This place is completely unorganized. I called to set up an appointment, arrive about 10 mins prior, sat in the pedicure chair for 45 mins. Had about 3 different ppl do a portion of my gel pedicure. It was obvious they were short staffed BUT while I was waiting two walk ins came after me and then as soon as two techs walked into the salon they were servicing the walk ins before me. Paul was wonderful. His Attention to detail was impeccable. He was kind, caring and recommended what was best for me. I was in and out in 45 minutes. I do not have to look any further for my nail tech. The only word of caution is LILY. She over charges. Make sure you get a receipt and check the bill every time before you leave. read more

It was late on a weekday, the night before my vacation & every nail shop near me closed early at 8pm. This was one of the few I found on Google that were open until 9 in the area. I walked in right before close around 8:30pm. My first time going, I walked in and everyone was very kind and helpful. After having a very very long day, and being indecisive, I let Lily choose my nail shape. She said almond was more popular this year so we went with that. Overall, this was the best nail experience I've had in a while. Lily was very friendly. She dipped my nails and they were perfect, not too thick, and shaped just right! They are a little pricey, but this may become my new nail spot. read more

My first interaction with them seemed good but at this point If i could give less I would. Paid over 100.00 for a gel and acrylic mani and a gel pedicure. The DAY AFTER I got my nails done, the nail broke completely off. I went back and they fixed it free of charge. Two days after my nail got fixed by them not only did it break off again but the polish on the other nail started to peel off!! The polish job looks chunky and is not smooth at all as well. Point is, for as much as I spent this should not be happening! I work at a desk so its not like theyre getting abnormal wear and tear. I normally go to another location in Benbrook and I wear my nails usually much longer and they never break! Absolutely ridiculous! read more

Not impressed. All of the tools were very dirty, and they weren't very sociable. They ignored me the whole time and never made eye contact, but just talked the whole time to her co worker. They were very rough, I even bled. It honestly seemed like she spent more time drilling and filing the sides of my fingers than the actual nail. I had a nail emergency (one of my nails broke in the most painful of ways, where the nail was hanging on by my skin) and stopped at this salon. Typically I don't stop at salons I haven't visited before, but I'm very glad that I stopped here. My nail technician Angel was very friendly and amazing! She was very careful and made sure to check with me every step of the way to ensure she was not causing me additional pain. After successfully removing the nail, she did a new set of dip nails and they are absolutely perfect. She was very attentive to detail and made sure they were exactly what I wanted and that they looked great before I left. She also explained and walked me through how to care for the finger/nail was previously injured and how long it would take to fully heal. As far as the spa itself, it was very clean and inviting. They have a LOT of polish, gel, and dip color choices, a bar and most surprisingly even though they're located by TCU was not overpriced by any means. Will definitely return! read more

This place rocks. I called three nail salons before I called u-nails and no one could do what I was asking for. It isn't complicated, I asked for a beach, like just an hombre of blue basically with some tan glitter at the end. U-nails was funny and said come in and we will work something out. I went in, we went with a totally different design, but they were very accommodating, offered me a drink. They did a cute palm tree design with rhinestone coconuts and even gave me a massage. Jenny was fun to work with and did an awesome job. My nails aren't too think and they are just the right shape. Needless to say, I am VERY satisfied. UPDATE- I found a nail salon closer to my house that had better prices, better service, better quality, better massages, and better understanding of what I wanted. U-Nails, after going back a few times they didn't seem to remember me, waits got longer and they didn't keep up the quality of what they were doing for my nails. They broke often, hence the search for a new place. read more
