Took my car here just to have it checked out and tuneup because I was gonna be driving a lot brought my car home. Something was wrong with it. Took it back. Got that fixed. Brought it back home. Something was wrong with it again now it won't pass smog, and the air conditioning is blowing hot air. Took it back there but by this time I was a little leery because my car was fine before I took it there and it had always passed smog. I was told air conditioner unit probably needed to be replaced about $4000 and don't know why it won't pass smog. Then I was told because of this he was willing to buy the car for $2000 didn't wanna pay anymore because of all the problems. Fast-forward car sat in my driveway for a year and a half this week. I took it to the BMW dealer within an hour. They called me and told me easy fix the hose was wide open and another hose had a screw stuck in it, blocking it. They don't know why somebody would do something like this. Basically it was done on purpose. No one else has touched this car. I also had another car. I took there same thing. It was fine. I just wanted you know it checked out because I was driving a lot brought it home. Another problem went wrong with it. I am a female, but I'm not an idiot. I knew that something was being done to my cars because I had no issue with either one of them before that now all of a sudden every single time I picked it up there was something else wrong with it. Anyone reading this don't ever take your car there this is unbelievable, and the truth needs to be told by car sat for a year and a half. It cost me a lot of money for what was done to my car at the shop on purpose. This is the reason people don't trust car repair shops for this very reason what was done to my car for a buck. These kind of shops need to be exposed for what they really are. What a thing to do to somebody. I would never ever use this repair shop ever again. read more

As a 22 year-old female college student my experience with U Pay Less was pretty great. I'm not the most responsible person with a car, in fact it took me more than 3 months to take my car in to diagnose the engine check. I took my car into a place in the valley that quoted me almost $500 to fix a cylinder misfire in my v6 and to replace spark plugs! Truth be told I don't know anything about cars but I knew they were totally overcharging me! I finally found the gem that is U Pay Less! I was able to make a quick call in the morning and my car was finished by 3 PM, the entire job cost me half the price that the other repair shop charged me. Robert was straight-forward with the solution to the problem, no complaints and very professional. This is a one man operation. We were so lucky that our son recommended taking our car to Robert. The shop is a little off the beaten path on Easy Street and not that easy to find. It's worth finding! Robert is an awesome mechanic. He's honest and won't overcharge you. We had our car there for a new starter. He called the car rental place to make sure we didn't wait to be picked up. We had previously taken the car to the dealership and they had quoted thousands of dollars for many issues they found wrong with the car. We asked Robert to give the car a complete check-up, which he did. He said the car was in great shape and only needed the starter. The car was ready when promised. We've now found a mechanic we wouldn't hesitate recommending to our friends and neighbors. It's hard to find an honest mechanic and we're very fortunate to have found Robert. read more

I have a 1994 Honda, do most repairs myself but the water pump required a shocking amount engine disassembly including the timing chain. Pep Boys wanted $1200 but the surprisingly were willing to negotiate to $1000. But, that is about the value of my car. For fun, I looked at Craigslist, saw the add for "U Pay Less Auto Repair". He wanted $400. I had it done today and all seems well. I don't recall the owners name but he seemed very honest, stuck to his price, and there was upsell (which I had kind of expected). If I could give a negative star rating I would please please do not be fooled by these other obviously paid reviews.I took my car here about a year and a half ago and sadly that was it for my car, I brought it in to get diagnosed and was told I needed a valve job and it would be 1300 I agreed and they did the work and when I got it back the rims and engine where idling crazy but I was told that was because there was a cracked in my exhaust manifold, ended up driving to Seattle and hit redding ca the next day.cars engine blew the shop up there found out these crooks never replaced or put any valve seals back on never replaced the gasket like they were supposed to and the idling problem was because they pinched the air hose in between the engine header, his solution was that I would have to pay for a tow back to his shop which was now 900 miles away said he would work out a refund but dodged all my calls and left me stranded with a car that now had a blown engine and in worse condition then when I brought it to him, had to go through the California Bureau of Automotive repair to lodge a complaint and they ended up getting him to agree to give me half.my money back 2.months later when I went to pick up the check the guy wrote me a post dated check and put a stop payment on it hoping I would have left town by the time I tried to catch it , ended up refusing to leave his shop until I got the agreed upon.money returned which took 3.hours of waiting at his.shop. All of this.can be.confirmed look into it.at the CA BAR website I had an 07 Saturn ion.that.this.dishonest thief of a repair shop and mechanic who is the owner and his.name is Robert destroyed, and then couldn't man up and refund his own mistake ultimately this shop cost me 700 dollars and.my.car read more

2 words GREAT SERVICE! I don't write much on Yelp but Robert is the man! Didn't get the name of the other mechanic but these two know their stuff. A coworker of mine recommended this place to me and I was not disappointed at all. I had to take my car in twice once for A/C service, brake pads, rotated rotors, and check engine light the second time I had to get new rotors. Both times were great they gave me a real good deal on both visits especially the second time. They had told me about the rotors needing to be replaced the first visit on a count I waited long to change the brakes and they showed me the brakes and explained it all to me. I thought nothing of it but eventually took it back again cuz the car would shake on the freeway when I braked and they gave me a good deal for it. They were really convenient about it and were able to get the job done in an hour on the second visit and even pumped air on my tires. The place does look a bit old it's by an RV and Trucking dealership but it's a real diamond in the rough and close by the freeway! I will definitely recommend the place and call them if I need a fix again. read more
