They did a good job changing the oil, I'm assuming they filled all the other fluids and checked tire pressure according to the check list they gave me, but $79 seemed pretty high to me for a Toyota Highlander. Maybe that's just what it costs these days. What I did resent was being handed the card reader with tip amounts. I tipped 15% because I felt pressured to do so with the attendant standing right in front of me, but why are we tipping someone for doing their job? It's not like a restaurant where the tip depends on the service. Perhaps the employer should just pay them more rather than shifting the burden onto the customer. The final total with tip was $91! read more

They try to charge me $105 for a simple oil change on my 2019 grand Cherokee jeep. The Jeep dealership up the street charged me $99. How are these guys charging more than a dealership?! I will never return to this place as it seems like they are just looking to take advantage of anyone coming in. I am extremely disappointed with this place. My husband and I have taken our 3 cars there religiously for over 5 years and things have dramatically changed. They use to have a rewards program which earn you a free oil change after your 7th oil change. Come to find out they longer have the rewards program and will not honor my free oil change. WOW unbelievable!! They use to have coupons for $48.99 oil change which they stopped as well. So now I had to pay $70 for just a simple oil change!! WTH is that all about. Going to share a few things with my fellow Yelpers. First and foremost, we spend a great deal of time in our Vehicle's and it's imperative to maintain them to the best our our ability. Very important that you change your oil and check all our fluids in your engine,and the tire pressure on each of your tires. The two employees at this location did a fantastic job in fulfilling all my vehicle's needs and topped off my fluids at no additional charge. During each task that the employee did,he informed me of what I needed and completed each task and added some additional air in all my 4 tires. Some of their competitors will try to nickel and dime you, these too employees did not try to do this with me,so for this I commend you for being honest and most of all providing great service at the time of my visit.Thank You. This place will rip you off if you're a woman. Highly do not recommend. Went there with a coupon for a 50 synthetic blend oil change, first time customer oh no we don't have the right type of blend for your 2020 Honda civic we can only give you 10 off BS BS BS. Took THEIR coupon to another place down the street and they honored it! And they were VERY RUDE! Sitting around doing nothing so they thought they'd rip me off. I know my car take O-20 oil and that comes in fully synthetic and a synthetic blend either of which is fine for my car. I have used the synthetic blend for the duration in which I have had my car, with absolutely zero problems! They didn't want to honor the coupon, they thought they could do this because I'm a woman and they think I don't know. I do know. I had never been here before I chose this place for an oil change based on a coupon I received just a few days ago the expiration date was 8/31/23 I went on Saturday July 15, 2023 well within the expiration date. I even went a little out of my way when I arrived they told me they were not accepting the coupon because they have recently raised their price and some mix up with the magazine the ad was in. Even though I didn't pay that much more it is bad business to do, basically false advertising. Also I do not think they did the 20 point inspection because they didn't ask me to use my turn signal or my windshield wipers nothing I asked them about my lights and they sort of checked them. Very disappointing and I won't go back. The guys helping me were nice but not very efficient kind of want to rush you thru. I went yesterday to get my oil changed. They were so fast and friendly. I had Trevor and Cody help with my car. Cody was very personable and Trevor was so helpful. He offered to check the filter behind my glove box while I was there. He was very honest with the services they offered. He did let me know it could be changed but was not necessary. I had a lot of stuff in my glove box and Trevor handled it super professionally instead of dumping it out of anything. I was in and out of the shop very quickly. Was glad I found Simi Lube & Oil on Yelp. I don't live in Simi anymore but come back at least every 1-2 months to visit family. I was overdue on my oil change probably by 2 months. Was in and out of the place in 15 minutes or so. Marty was great! They did recommend me to change my cabin filters (I think - I know squat about cars), but those suckers were disgusting when they showed them to me. I'm pretty sure there were a few feathers stuck in them. Marty told me to sign up with them for Spot On in which you can get rewards.
