The customer service is amazing and the quality of the work is incredible, especially considering how cheap this place is. I was able to get my pants hemmed for $10. At my previous tailor, I was paying double that price. I've used them to hem multiple jeans and dresses and the fit has turned out perfect every time! I've docked a star for the fact that if you look closely at the stitching on the inside, it can sometimes look a bit messy. I wouldn't bring my Armani suits here, but for everyday casual wear, this is my go-to tailor. read more

I am in shock! I just left this shop after the worst customer experience I have ever received. I came here based on the great reviews on Yelp. The first time I came was July 3rd, I came with my husband and I had a lot of clothes for alteration because I had lost a lot of weight. She pinned about 6 of the clothes and by the 7th one, I was feeling faint because it is hot in her shop. She was nice and offered me water. She said I shouldn't worry that she would have the clothes ready by the the 17th of July, that she was going on a cruise and would have them ready when she got back. She gave me the pink receipt for collection and we left. Fast forward to today July 21st, my husband went earlier to drop off a pair of jeans and told her I would be coming to pick up my things later. She told him that my clothes were ready and had been ready for a few days. I left work early and went straight there and presented the pink receipt to her. To my shock she said the alterations hadn't been done. But what upset me was, she lied that it was because I was sick on that day and I was supposed to call her to find out when they would be ready!!! Can you imagine??? I was arguing with her that on the day I fell ill, I was there for 45 mins, she had pinned almost all the clothes and she told me to come back on the 17th of July and that was why she gave me a receipt for collection. Of course, I was upset because the clothes were not ready but more so because she was lying, instead of admitting fault and apologizing. I requested my clothes back as well as my husband's. She said I shouldn't give her an attitude. When I said this was my first time there and I was so disappointed, she said she never wanted to see me again. She gave me the clothes and told me to get out and was shooing me away! I have never experienced anything like this. It was like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, I couldn't believe it was the same person. Well, needless to say, I will never be back which should make us both happy but I feel obligated to warn everyone out there of this shop. read more

Poor service. Very rude. I left 3 pieces of garments for alteration. Paid in full in advance. She told me that they will be ready the following Monday. When I showed up for pick up, none of the item was ready. That's fine. But then the woman in store asked me why I came that day to collect the items. I was like, hello, you told me they will be ready that day. She asked me to return the following day. I said fine, but I also said I wish she could have told me before so I didnt have to make a trip for nothing. And guess what she said? She said "i will return your money!" Wow. Some service there. Forgive me if I had listened to her to come pick up at a time suggested by HER! Will never return again. Oh, when she returned my momey, she shorted me a dollar. I was too stunned to argue with her and just left. What a greedy ungrateful woman. By the way, there are plenty of good tailors out there with much better altitude and service. I don't typically spend the time to write reviews, but my experience today warrants one. When I first came in, the customer service was great. She was friendly and had my patches sewn on my scrub tops within an hour, as promised. But when I went home to try them on, I noticed that the patches looked crooked, so I called her and told her. She said that I should just wear it until I could come back to fix it. So I went back today with my 2 tops and a lab coat because they were all slightly crooked. Most people wouldn't care too much, but I believe in receiving the service I paid for. However, the owner gave me the most attitude. At first, she attempted to prove that the patches were sewn on straight, but it failed her and showed that she was off by just a little. When I pointed that out, she said I was being too picky. I have a very small frame so the top is a little bigger, which may have contributed to the crookedness of the patch and I understood that. I asked for the patches to be sewn straight to fit my body rather than in reference to the top. She didn't agree with my choice and made it very apparent that she thought it was stupid. She made these exaggerated demonstrations on what my request would look like, but she made it look sloppy and ridiculous. Everyone has their own preferences. As the owner, she should have obliged whether she wanted to or not because I paid for it to be sewn a certain way and it didn't meet my expectations. After asking her to do it my way and feeling belittled for it, I decided to ask for my items back, so I could take them somewhere else where my request wouldn't be questioned and where my business will be appreciated. I chose this place for the location convenience and because of the yelp reviews. But I will not be returning. read more

My experience was very much like other yelpers, so I am glad I came here to get advice on where to get my designer jeans altered. I had once taken a pair of jeans to Marcellos to get altered and it was a disastrous experience and I was terrified to try it again, but thankfully this place was everything I had hoped. The lady is so sweet and nice and she really knows her stuff. I had 2 pairs of jeans altered and she knew exactly what needed to be done the second I stepped out of the changing room. She shortened the length on 2 pairs and replaced the original hem, so you can't tell they were ever altered. On one pair she also had to take in the waist, but she didn't cut corners like Marcellos which only took in the waistband, she took in the waistband and the whole back seam so they fit perfectly with no gap or weird bulges at the back. The work was done in less than a week and cost less than $50 and it was time and money well spent. I will definitely go back to her...I might even take the pair of jeans that Marcellos screwed up because I am sure she could fix them. read more

I took my daughters prom dress to be altered by another tailor on Bellaire and she totally destroyed my daughter's $280.00 dress. She needed it to be hemmed and taken in on the bodice, but she cut it too short and made the bodice too tight. Ruined!! Charged me $86.00 for this service. Also, we gave her the dress on Thursday and was told it would be ready the following Wednesday. She could NOT possibly wear this dress. We had to go out and search for another dress on Thursday which we were lucky enough to find another nice one that fit perfectly except it was a little long. We both went into panic mode! She was so afraid to trust anyone because of the last fiasco, she was willing to just walk around heisting her dress up all night....I told her that would not be a good look. Prom is Saturday....went online and looked at several reviews and saw all the positive reviews about Julie...gave her a call and asked if she could please do this at least by Saturday afternoon, she said "certainly". My daughter and I went in and I had to tell her the horror story, she was very sympathetic. Julie measured my daughter at 12pm and told us to pick the dress up at 4pm. As promised dress was ready and beautifully done! My daughter will be going to the prom, looking like a queen! Julie is very nice and personable. I have found my tailor and will be going back for any alterations my family may need in the future. read more
