On our Memorial Day weekend getaway we ended up in Camarillo. We were craving an açaí bowl and this place came up as a suggested spot. After reading a few reviews we decided to try it. We walked through the outlets until we made it to the spot. The ambiance is cute and quaint. They have outside seating and a small indoor seating area. The customer service was great. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Definitely a place to try. We are new to Camarillo but if you are at the outlets it's a great spot. I love Ubatuba, but they have raised prices 3 times in the past year! This is price gouging, I know inflation is a factor but that still doesn't justify the new menu prices. It's basically $15 for a medium bowl now. A year ago it was $13. Three years ago it was $10!To top it all off they no longer offer any discounts for military and personal responders. I seriously love this location because of the unlimited toppings you can choose and they're very generous. The prices seem high, but for what you get and the quality, it's worth every penny. Also, it's a nice break to go after outlet shopping, especially when it's hot. I usually get 1/2 acai with mangos or kiwis (if they have it), strawberries (depends on freshness), goji berries, cacao nibs, bee pollen, and lots of almond butter and it always hits the spot! I love açaí bowls. I am glad I found Ubatuba Açaí. What they offer was new to me when it comes to Açaí bowls in a good way. They allow you to build your bowl to your liking. They even have different bases other than açaí for you to choose. At first I thought it was weird but I did try their mango base and it was pretty good. You can mix and match bases, choose how much base versus toppings you want, what toppings you want. So it's pretty cool. Depending on what I am in the mood I've mixed and match bases or I just keep it simple and get Açaí. The employees are always so nice. There was even a day my son spilled water and we were trying to clean it up when an employee saw us and told us to not bother. They laughed not in a malicious way and said they were glad it was just water. We continued to clean while they grabbed the mop. Overall, delicious. I loved visiting this location, from their decor to their bright colors that catch your attention. I got a large bowl and added nutella to it which was so good. You don't hear often of places that add nutella to acai bowls so this was a nice touch! I also had the chicken empanada which was very tasty and had lots of flavor.
