TACO BURRITO. My dad enjoyed it!
    Kat W.

I haven't been to Yolanda's in years. It was always my favorite Mexican restaurant. I decided to go with my parents yesterday for my birthday dinner. Even though the food wasn't impressive this time, the customer service was! We sat on the lovely enclosed patio. Vanessa was our server. Her service was 5 star! She was friendly, checked in on us, and all around went above and beyond! The food was pretty good. I got the single portion chicken fajitas. The chicken was very tender. The dish as a whole was lacking flavor. Dare I say it could have even used salt. I was a bit disappointed, but very hungry. I ate half and took the rest home. My mom got the 2 item combo with a chili relleno and beef taco. She loves chili rellenos, but was not happy with hers. Her plate was covered in cheese, but the relleno had no sauce she said. The taco was just beef with a little cheese and a few strands of lettuce. Nothing like the pictures on Yelp. My dad got the taco burrito and he enjoyed his! We loved the chips, salsa, and bean dip! The young guy refilling chips/dip was on top of everything and very sweet! Although we weren't impressed this time with the taste of the food, I will definitely be back to try again!

    Veggie tostada

One of my spots in Cam. I love the skinny margarita and the veggie tostada with no dairy & xtra xtra jalapeños. Great place to hang after work. It's a staple and consistent :)

Let's start by saying the customer service is on point and the waitresses were really nice and very attentive . The food not so great I ordered a steak and shrimp plate and let me tell you NO bueno so bland no flavors I ordered a medium well steak and that steak came out so dried and the shrimp had no taste just butter with no seasoning . I didn't even eat the rice had no taste . Would I recommend this place mmm maybe not ..

    Yum!

Visiting the area and craving great Mexican food--not just "good", but great!--family recommended Yolanda's! Wow, what a great recommendation that was ! We were greeted warmly and seated in a cozy booth. Chips and individual salsas came right away and then right after that, our drink order was taken. Darn, we wish we had seen the "salsa bar"--every choice there looked great. Our waitress took our order after delivering our House Margaritas--hubby had the Chili combo (Colorado, Verde, rice and refried beans) and I ordered the carnitas plate with rice and beans; flour tortillas came along. Great Mexican food always makes us very happy--and that night, we couldn't have been happier!

    Fajita so good

I didn't even realize that there was a Yolanda's in Camarillo! What an exciting find because their food is always delicious & who can say no to chips & salsa!!! I met my friends for happy hour & what a great time we had! Much need at the end of the week! We were able to sit and enjoy our appetizer sampler platter & happy hour margaritas & beer. The staff was nice. We didn't feel rushed & were able to relax & enjoy each other's company. Overall a great time, great food, tasty drinks! Yay happy hour!

I grew up going to Yolanda's and it's such a nostalgic place and I'm always ready for that delicious bean dip with the chips. We always go for the fajitas. They are a great size and the sauce that comes with them is delicious. I love all the sides and toppings that come with it. The margaritas here are tasty too! The ambience inside is great and the service is good.

    Balsamic salad

A classic Mexican restaurant. It's that familiar interior design, unlimited chips/salsa and the blended margaritas you need to go with it all. I had the balsamic salad which was pretty good. My hibiscus marg could have had more flavor, but definitely finished it. Chips are on the oily side, but still good with guacamole! Overall a decent option, especially if you're near the outlets! Stay Cheerful

Forever a favorite! My family has been coming to this location for years and it's always a good experience! Chips and drinks are quick to arrive and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. This time I ordered a half order of guacamole and the street tacos. The standard Yolanda's salsa is the.best. but I love that there's also a salsa bar to choose from. Servers are always on top of it, hostesses are great and the restaurant is always an inviting space. Definitely recommend for family dinners, date nights or just a casual afternoon!

Yolanda's is always a great choice if you want some authentic Mexican food. Been coming to their Oxnard Harbor & Camarillo locations for years. The Manager is always so welcoming and funny. I love their quick service. Everyone is helpful and really caters to you. After the gym I wanted a quick bite and their steamed veggies are scrumptious! Their bean dip is also really good! Their chicken tacos are always on point as well and you can get them a la carte if you don't want a big meal. Highly recommend, you'll enjoy the friendly ambiance and good food.

Since 2011, Good Morning Café has been serving up great experiences, and I can't believe I hadn't been there before! It was a fantastic find in my Camarillo breakfast hunt. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house, but we always love to sit outside so that we have a really good view of the aircraft coming and going. I tried the BLT and, oh my!!! One of the best I've had, with lots of thick cut bacon, very crisp, lots of lettuce, tomato and mayo (I ordered it as-is). Half was the size of a regular sandwich so the other half went home with me! RRR ordered the triple decker club on sourdough and loved his as well. Half of his went home also. We both got the cole slaw as our side which has a little pineapple in it. I found it ok, RRR really liked it. We shared a special milkshake, pistachio, and it was heavenly, highly recommended. Service was perfect, there when needed but not overbearing. We so appreciate well-trained staff! Highly recommended.

Today we had to be out of the house due to Edison maintenance in your neighborhood. We were originally headed for Ojai, but we were hungry and didn't want to wait that long to get food. I suggested Waypoint since it was a weekday and hopefully wouldn't be that crowded. We hit them just before a lunch rush came along about 30 minutes later. it's probably been a while, but their ordering procedure has changed since the last time we were there. Now you enter, go to the host stand, and order and pay there. Then they give you a number for your order and a host takes you out to a table. It's a variation on fast casual. The idea is that they will start cooking your food as soon as you pay, and the process will flow smoothly from there. They have a lot of runners bringing out the food, and offering additional condiments or other things you might need, like more water or napkins. There are several reasons that I'm downgrading the rating from a previous visit. $18 for a plain Belgian waffle? No fruit, garnish, whipped cream, just melted butter and a very small amount of syrup. It looked more substantial because we added eggs and bacon for $3 more. The latter seems like a good deal, because the eggs were well prepared. Only two slices of bacon, though. DH and I split the plate. $21 for a plain waffle, scrambled eggs, and two pieces of bacon does seem excessive. We added a side of hash browns, which were plentiful, but were also oily. I don't remember having hash browns in another restaurant which were that greasy, so that was a fail. $9 for two cups of decaf coffee? That also seemed on the high side, especially when a tiny (and I do mean tiny!) addition of oat milk for creamer was $1.50. Really? And yet, they offered mini portions of hazelnut or French vanilla creamer for free. But we didn't know that ahead of time. A large glass of lukewarm pineapple juice was $6. I had to ask for a glass of ice cubes to be able to chill the juice down to where it tasted good. By the way, the waffle was slightly overcooked for my preference, making it more crunchy than I enjoy. Overall, it was $50 for a breakfast that DH and I split, just adding the hash browns and juice to stretch the meal. Service was good. It was the kitchen that let down the team. Also, ambiance-wise, the airport has added a large row of hangars to the northwest of the restaurant, which dramatically cuts down the view of the planes taking off and landing. That's actually another fail for the appeal of dining here. It's likely going to be a while before we return. Sad to report today's experience, but that's what it turned out to be - not the lovely little secret getaway of the past.

During our meal, staff members could be seen using their personal phones, making phone calls, and walking back and forth through the dining area. We also observed a staff member eating in an open area visible to guests. These details may seem minor individually, but together they contributed to an overall impression of poor professionalism and lack of attention to the dining experience. As for the food and drinks, we ordered a mimosa and were charged an additional $2 for orange juice. I have no issue paying an additional charge when the product justifies it, but the mimosa itself did not taste or look like a typical mimosa. The appearance and coloring were particularly unusual, as shown in the attached photo. I also ordered the chicken sandwich with waffles. Unfortunately, the chicken was extremely thin and dry, looks like chicken jerky, with a disproportionate amount of breading. As shown in the attached photos, the chicken itself was not what I would expect from a dish at this price point. The sandwich overall had an unusual flavor and texture that made it difficult to identify what the dish was ultimately trying to achieve, which is just a chicken sandwich.... Finally, the pricing is difficult to justify given the quality. I don't mind paying more for a meal when the food, service, and overall experience support the price. However, in this case, I did not feel that the quality matched the cost, particularly when looking at some of the à la carte pricing shown on the menu. Based on my experience and the patterns mentioned in other reviews, there appear to be some ongoing management and operational issues that could benefit from attention. I also noticed that some responses to negative reviews come across as defensive rather than focused on addressing the customer's concerns. How a business responds to criticism is part of the overall customer experience, and in my opinion, the responses here did not leave a positive impression. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback constructively, because there is clearly room for improvement in both the food quality and the overall professionalism of the operation.
