I thought that would be my final run in with Bike Land but boy was I wrong. As things continued on I realized I would a bunch of other things that I would need and Vincent was there to help. He helped me order panniers and racks. He custom fit my front rack and had to send back the panniers as the company had sent the wrong ones. He took it into his own hands to order everything for me and was a huge help. I have had many negative run ins in bike stores around NJ but Bike Land was quite the opposite, Vincent is a knowledgeable positive influence ont the store and all that walks in. Just hope that he does not get snatched up by a competing bike store. He is very good at repairs and won't give you and crap like most commercial shops will. The only problem is his hours, he's only open one day a week and sometimes he's not even there. The last to times I was there he wasn't in even though it said open. He is very apologetic when this happens so that makes up for the fact. Back to shop, fixed tire and when I asked the price, they said $25, but I mentioned the wall sign says $20 fixed rate. I give the $20 and they argue with me, and someone not involved gets involved and I feel like I'm being attacked. I leave the shop again, and the back tire, just "fixed" is completely flat by the time I got home 5 blocks. I thought the shop was going to be OK, but I cannot recommend it. Plus, I have a completely flat back tire.

Manny and his team will always overdeliver. Whether they're just explaining the mechanics and basics to a New Biker Or need to be more technical with Advanced bikers they will take their time and deliver five-star customer service. On multiple occasions, I've needed assistance, and they have been there for me even if it's a simple phone call or to answer a question. They do not treat you like a number, and their prices are very fair. This last visit was because I busted my front rim. I had a very expensive rim, and it was not easy to find online due to inventory across the country. Not only did Manny go above and beyond by doing extra research but he also asked me the right questions. For example, why I had my current rims. The rims were on the bike when I bought them so I did not know whether I should be using them or not. Don't get me wrong, they're great rims, but Manny took the time to explain, based on how I ride, that I may need a much sturdier and more resilient rim for the type of biking I do. Boom! That's the difference! The reality is that even though this new Rim was much cheaper it was more effective for what I needed at my level of biking. (By the way this was definitely not as profitable for Manny and Loose Wheel, but it was the right thing to do. ) That's true customer service and putting the customer first! On a different note, They have evening rides most Tuesdays and leave no biker behind. They also have a lot of fun events for kids throughout the year. Great company and a great team.
