Bob is really a great bike repair guy. A really nice guy and honest also. I was tired of getting ripped off by some of the local bike shops and some of them really don't put care into their work. They just pump 'em out. Bob is the opposite. I can tell he puts so much into his work. He did a tune up, brakes, and even rebuilt the rear hub for a great price. He thought I may need a rear gear sprocket, but said I could still get milage out of this one. The bike rides better than new. It's a vintage Trek 6000 that I did some modifications on, to make it a more comfortable hybrid. Love this bike and I'm glad I found out about Bob, through friend. read more

I've been using Jays bikes in Westfield for a few years now but wanted to change because I feel they are overselling the services that are unnecessary I found bobs based on the good reviews and was keen to try given its owned and operated by Bob, so should have a better place experience versus dealing with a random store employee. He was able to fit me in asap and completed the job in a few hours. Much better than my old spot where id have to leave the bike a number of days, and would be sold some expensive service package rather than fixing what's broken. Bob did a great job and was obviously proud of his work. He took the time to explain what he did and make sure I'm satisfied. Very reasonable pricing. If you are in Union Country or within driving distance to Kenilworth you have to get your bike serviced with Bob. He runs a small shop and really looks out for the safety of his customers. He is very honest and reasonable. I have several bikes and all get serviced by Bob. read more

Very friendly and knowledgeable bicycle shop owner. My wife's pedal was broken, kickstand fell apart, and tires kept losing air. He took my wife's bike for a few days to see if the tire tube inside needed to be changed (turns out they were fine just need to pump up every few weeks). A Hidden Gem! Responsive service at reasonable prices. Found on Google Maps on a Monday (and not Yelp?) because I was frustrated after going to a larger suburban shop with a big showroom that had a 10+ day backlog and they would have sold me a replacement chain & cassette if it were not for the supply-chain (get it?) issues. Bob's happen to be listed as open in Google Maps (did not exist yet on Yelp), actually earlier in the morning. I was initially disappointed when I arrived and found that it was not open but called the number, left a message, and went home. I was surprised to to get a phone call from Bob personally so I went back with my bike. The first pleasant surprise was that it was a small shop in an industrial part of town that is operated by the owner. And the estimate was almost HALF of what the big suburban bike shop was writing up. The bike was promised for the weekend, a big plus in the middle of the summer! The promise was kept, my chain / cassette didn't need replacing (yet), and the only noises I heard were the wheels against the asphalt. Thank You Bob! read more

I had a 35-mile ride planned for the weekend. My Trek, which I purchased used 10-years ago, had never been serviced. I decided on Bob because of his stellar online reviews, and boy am I glad I did. For starters, he replied to my request for service quickly, was personable, friendly, and extremely knowledgable. Furthermore, he got the bike done the next day for a fee that was beyond reasonable.
