this place is a giant rip off. do NOT go to them -- not at the Greenwich or 23 or any location. this dude Freddy at Greenwich seems to think that the way he looks is going to overcome all the sales pitches. When you tell him that what he's saying, makes no sense he put his hand out and says nice to meet you. They lied to you they give you a non-apple screen and then they tell you that it's a non-apple screen. You ask them why they didn't tell you upfront and they say to you all you seemed in a rush. Then someone in the main office read the review and post on the website and says Oh please contact us and then when you contact them they tell you. -- no refunds. Good luck. Do not go to these people. Go to any old shopping in Chinatown it's cheap cheaper and you get the same thing for far less money. The screen they put on is not responsive to touch. It's not like the Apple screen at all and it's very hard to use. The thing is they don't tell you that before you pay. So be very careful of using this place or any of its locations. They have zero customer follow up so they post on yelp that they want you to call them but when you call them, they say you're out of luck.update -- so now they can't find me as a person who got service and paid -- I paid 201 dollars for a screen that doesn't work. I went to the west 23 st. Place after Freddy at Greenwich gave me some absurd options. The 23 street shop did NOT tell me it was a non-Apple screen. Lied to my face. I should sue you all. read more

My partner went in and placed an order for a replacement screen. They said they were out of it and would order it, and when she came by to follow up, they told her that it was out of stock. When she had it reordered, they said they'd contact her when it was ready to pick up but they didn't so she went in again to inquire because she didn't want to be on hold forever via phone. Then they finally decided to reveal that it was out of stock because of its color. read more

Here I am on a Saturday evening working a 12 hour shift, ready to throw my phone through a window because the speaker was not functioning. Can't even hear anyone on the mic when I receive a call. What do I do? This adorable little shop is located around the corner from work, and had Saturday hours that extend past five. COOL. I walk in, explain myself, and Nicole/Stephanie identify and fix my problem in no time. Both are very friendly and knowledgeable. I called in because I had a key popped out on my keyboard. I wouldnt dare to fix it myself as I am not a professional and didnt want to damage it further. I tried popping it back in a few times to no avail. I ended up coming into the store and it was popped back in within a few minutes! I made an appointment online specifically for an iPhone XS screen repair and was quoted a price of $129. When I showed up to the store later that afternoon, the technician told me that the iPhone XS screen repair actually costs $199 and that the website only provided an "estimated" price. When I asked why their website would estimate a price that was significantly lower than the actual price despite having all of the relevant information about my phone, the technician said she never personally quoted that price and isn't responsible for any estimates on the website. It felt like a bait-and-switch to me, so I left the store and made an appointment with another provider that was willing to match the original $129 quote. read more

They offered free diagnostic testing and were able to guide me to a low cost solution to my issue: the very bottom of my screen was not working. They went above and beyond and found a solution without needing to replace a screen. I'm very grateful for their kindness and professionalism and will return in the future. They were extremely nice and helpful. I brought my computer in to be diagnosed and possibly repaired after it was fried charging. They did everything they could to try to recover my files, and didn't charge me when they couldn't fix it (even though they spent upwards of two days working on it.) As for the store, it is small, but clean and bright and I felt comfortable walking in. I will absolutely be going back here if I ever need another repair. read more

I guess it was just the luck of the draw, but I ended up with two dud replacement batteries. Since it takes a long time for the order to be fulfilled, my laptop was "in the shop" for like two months or more. (I actually took it out at one point when I needed it for a project, and then returned it.) The people here are great, friendly, helpful, and, apparently, able to fix things. I wish they were a little more communicative, and would have sent an email or a text once in a while, even if it was just to say "sorry, we're still waiting for the part," rather than my having to contact them. read more

Ona Tuesday, I knocked my MacBook Pro off its stand and destroyed its screen. That day, I took the MacBook to uBreakiFix on Greenwich Avenue, in the West Village. While I was there, they gave me a preliminary quote to replace the screen, but said they wanted to see if they could find the screen for less. They called the next day and told me that the quote from the previous day was as low as they could find to replace the screen. They asked if I wanted to proceed and that the repair would take 2-3 business days from when they got the replacement screen. The earliest they could have gotten the screen was Thursday, so I expected the repair to be finished on Monday, at the earliest. To my surprise and delight, on Saturday afternoon, I received a call saying the repair was done! An hour later, I had my MacBook Pro back. For me, they under promised and over delivered. read more
