Got my phone screen replaced by them on July 5 2025 and it conveniently(for them) quit working for no reason 4 days after the warranty was up so I had to get it replaced at full price on top of the fact that they only had the color white available which looks like trash on any phone color except a white one and weren't willing to work with me as in let me have a temporary white one till the black ones came in a week from now even if there were no "damage" done to it. I dropped my PC off for a hard drive failure- they told me it would take 1 week to repair. Over the course of WEEKS, I kept getting excuses why it wasn't done yet (mostly they hadn't even begun yet). They were supposed to replace it with the same size drive, "had to order it," then installed a smaller drive that was previously USED. How do I know? It has a prior customer's data transfer on it from Sept 2025. That $50 diagnostic fee that they said goes towards the repair? Nope! Separate line item on receipt. Also quoted me a price on the same size drive by 2 different employees, then magically the smaller drive is that price and the same size drive would have been $100 more. Also want to point out that part of the delay was b/c they had to order the drive, but then they just installed a drive that's been laying around for at least 6 months? These guys are great if you need to do a battery swap. But PC repair? Stay away. Also make sure that any price quotes they give you are in writing, b/c it's funny that 2 different people quoted the same price but then it magically changed after they installed a drive. read more

I took my PS5 controller in for repair after reading that uBreakiFix services, PS fives and controllers. I take my stuff into the Location on Magnolia only to find out they do not service PS5 or" anything that requires soldering".. ummm what!?! complete waste of time, they need to change and or update this fact, so people don't drive here expecting service. I'm hesitant to drive to any other location at this point. Advise everyone to call before driving to any of the locations. This place is awesome! My wife had an older iPad that stopped being able to charge due to a bad charging port. I was quoted $400 to replace the port (at another repair shop) so I decided to just buy a newly refurbished iPad online. When I tried to transfer all the data from the old tablet to the new one, I couldn't get it to work at all. So I took them both to uBreakiFix North Hollywood, where Chris and Nick told me there was an easy way to do it in the cloud. Within 5 minutes they had the backup and transfer to the new iPad started. 15 minutes later, I'm out the door with a complete transfer of everything from the old tablet to the new one! My old iPhone XR had issues after a forced software update two days ago. It kept going dead after a while and showing the battery at 100%. I was referred to Asurion in order to fix my cracked screen on my iPhone 16 Pro Max through insurance from Verizon Wireless. I scheduled for a van to come out to my house and fix my phone due to convenience and shorter wait times and I hate being without a phone. I had the pleasure of being serviced by Jameel. He was excellent as he was communicative and responsive before his arrival time as well as during the appointment. He explained everything in great detail, and finished in HALF the time that he had promised initially. Rather than 30-45 minutes, it probably took him 20 minutes to repair my phone and hand it back to me. I am genuinely pleased and thankful for this pleasant experience as I know no one wants to deal with repairs, insurance, or being without a phone. I would definitely use this van repair service again as it surpassed all of my expectations! read more

My friend recently purchased a new phone from Samsung. Unfortunately, the phone is defective. Before Samsung would even consider honoring the warranty, they referred my friend to this location. We went there together to have the phone tested. The employee informed us that the phone failed the test and that they would order the necessary part and contact us when it arrived for service. It's now more than three weeks later and we have yet to receive any contact from anyone by way of phone call or text, despite our multiple attempts to get in contact with someone. They have been evasive and have provided various excuses. Why Samsung chooses to work with this business when they refuse to provide service is beyond me. read more

Was referred to ubreakifix by Geek Squad when they couldn't fix a virus hack on my laptop. Went to the North Hollywood, CA shop and Valerie was able to deal with the virus. She said my 5-year-old laptop needed a new screen and battery which would take a few days. She suggested I join the Asurion Member Plan for $30/month, which I did and received a discount on the screen & battery replacement. I did an external hard drive backup before leaving my laptop there so that when I got my laptop back I'd have all my stuff. That worked fine but later when having backup issues, I realized that Valerie had deleted my backup as well as the backup program. In April 2026 I returned to the shop. Holding my laptop, I was waiting outside the door for the shop to open at 10am. At 10 the door was unlocked but the man walked away without opening the door or welcoming me in. When I explained why I was there this man, who is the store manager Chris, very rudely said he had no time for me and I should go away and call their 844 remote support number. When I explained I was an Asurion member and had called a few days before and was told to come in with no appointment needed, he repeated that he had no time for me, I was the only person in the shop. He was rude, arrogant, unhelpful and completely unprofessional. I left, called the 844 number, they were unable to help me remotely and told me to go back to the store for a physical examination of my laptop. This store refused to help me. I filed a complaint about this shop and it's manager with Asurion corporate office and cancelled my plan. So never going back to this or any store in this chain. They are a waste of time, gas and money. read more

I'd like to give this place a ZERO! Took a second iPad to them to replace the screen. It was ready in less than 48 hours which I thought was weird given that they say the time could be a week or two . The last one I took same model and same damage took a week, and then when my 13 year old tried to put it in her iPad case the screen cracked in the corner when I called and went in person the manager said I could either pay 95 after paying 131 to fix it again or I could get a membership of 40 bucks a month plus 40 down basically paying the same. What sucks is he admitted that the fact that the screen broke so easily was very suspicious keep in mind my daughters are very small so this was clearly a very cheap and thin screen. The other one they fixed and been thru the usual wear and tear and hasn't broken since and she didn't crack hers when putting it in the same style case ! So I thought I was in good hands. The lack of understanding and interest in building a relationship with a returning customer was very sad. Not to mention that we have lived in the area for many years and I was previously so happy that I told several friends and family near by about them. I will definitely make sure not to refer anyone else to them. There are other places that are much cheaper so try those out save your money and time and don't bother going to this place. They are not building long term relationships here they just want your money and want to keep you coming back! Even after admitting that the screen could have been faulty and that damage seems suspicious the manager looked at me like he just wanted me to pay AGAIN or leave. No thanks ! They try to give you a discount offer for a membership fee and faster attention to your issue. Took my xbox series x in to get it fixed when it started shutting off while online gaming. They replaced the thermal paste and cleaned it which briefly helped but then it started happening again. When I brought it back they said they did the service I paid for and couldn't do more work on it to actually fix the problem without further costs. They suggested that I get a service contract with Asurion because then the repair would be covered with the contract and if they couldn't fix it they would replace it for $100. At $30/month for the contract, seemed like a good deal vs. the cost of buying a new console. I made the mistake of trying to submit a claim before 30 days went by, there's an initial period where you can't submit a claim. Now that the 30 days have gone by I tried to submit a claim again only to be told that because of the problem having been documented before the contract was created it's considering a pre-existing problem and won't be covered. The whole reason I got the contract was to get this repair done, but now they're not going to do it. Thanks for lying by omission Christopher, you seemed nice when I dealt with you but you screwed me out of $60 for two months service contract and the money I paid to fix the xbox that didn't work. These 3rd party stores don't help you unless you have insurance. If you have a warranty (1 year warranty) they give you bs excuse that it is physical damage and cannot repair even though it is just a ink blot. Ridiculous and waste of time. Don't bother with these arbitrary guidelines/ stores. I'm honestly disappointed at these money hungry businesses. I provided image below. My screen and everything works fine no cracks no further damage just ink spot. Why they couldn't fix this I don't understand and gave me ridiculous prices for out of pocket fixes.  I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the level of customer service provided by these sub-companies and the implementation of what I perceive to be unfair assessment of the guidelines in the 1-year warranty. First and foremost, despite numerous attempts to seek assistance, I have encountered significant difficulties in obtaining adequate support from your customer service team. The lack of efficiency and willingness to assist in addressing inquiries and resolving issues has been profoundly disappointing and reflects poorly on your company's commitment to customer satisfaction.   To note: I visited 3 different Samsung customer service stores (Samsung Experience store located in the Americana, 10932 Magnolia Blvd Los Angeles, CA location (ubreakifix store), and 555 Western Ave store (ubreakifx store). All of which denied assistance due to the fact they were unfairly making conclusions about my cell phone issue and blamed it on the warranty factors listed. They also advised to visit other stores which may be lenient on these conditions, but it is just a way to get the customer out of their store (as you can see, I visited 3 different stores on different dates and they referred me back to Samsung Experience store but they are no help and referred me back to other Samsung locations. Just RIDICULOUS!) If there is leniency option, why was it not offered to all customers? They advised me that the Samsung Company will charge them of the matter if they were to help me. The reasons they provided, not only do not make sense but are unreasonable and unjust. These staff analyze the warranty in accordance to their benefit and leaves it up to the assessment of individuals who are in fact unfairly making arbitrary judgements. If you refer to the images provided, they denied me assistance since there is a slight indentation on the outer black lining of the phone (top right), but my issue was the ink spot on the fold portion (left side fold portion) of the phone which has nothing to do with the indentation on the top right of my phone. My phone, my screen, everything works there are no cracks whatsoever; therefore, these conclusions are just absurd.  Let's see if you receive the same help you offered me how you would feel? read more

The online system and the store location do not sync for either appointment availability or materials availability, leading to a wasted trip to fix my phone screen. UBreakifix/Asurion website was handy at first. I filled out a request for repair which included my phone brand, model, color, and what service I was requesting. With these choices it showed available stores and times; 6pm was offered at this location which I took same day. We arrived on time for our 6pm appointment from across town, and there was one lady there who was not happy to see me and my broken screen, stating we arrived "pretty late" for a phone fix. She didn't seem to be expecting us, so I let her know we had a service appt at 6pm, and she stated "an appointment an hour ahead of closing is rough" and said she was planning to close up at 6pm instead of the 7pm listed hours online on their website. In any case she took a look to see if they had the screen repair materials in stock. It was not, so she offered that we come back in a few days when it's available, but we left. The site led us to believe both the appointment was available, with the materials requested, and neither were. In addition to making us feel like we had done something wrong - not a good experience. read more

Run, don't walk, to this specific UBreakIFix, and take your problems to Zack. Apple told me my "black screen of death" was due to "liquid damage" and that they would not fix it. All I needed was to SEE my screen long enough to connect and get the last 500 images shot on there to upload to the cloud and then I could swap the phone out , but they would not offer that as an option. AT&T tried to squirm out of the insurance I'd paid for to not cover the replacement, but even if they WOULD cover it, they insisted on taking the phone , also resulting in the loss of all those photos. I went to UBreakIFix initially just to get those photos off the device and up to the cloud. Instead they were able to replace to screen entirely and send me on my way with my perfectly functioning original phone. Cost? $25 for a new case. I offered to marry Zack but my husband kiboshed that, but that's how relieved and ecstatic I was. Do yourself and blood pressure a favor and go there when anyone else says they can't/ won't . We had an outstanding experience with Asurion. Last night, I submitted a claim for a cracked screen through our Verizon insurance plan. Verizon gave us the choice of bringing the iPhone to an authorized and certified repair shop or sending the phone in to them, which could take weeks to get back. I chose the repair shop option, and they referred us to Asurion. This morning, I received a message from Asurion saying they received our claim. We brought the phone in, went next door to the market to get a few things, and the phone was repaired and ready before we even checked out. It was 30 minutes, maybe less! Both of the people we engaged with that work at Asurion were so very nice. They even used real Apple products for repairs, which is awesome! I don't have one negative thing to say about Asurion. In fact, we will be using them again for our repairs that come up from time to time with our child's iPad. They have a future customer in us, that's for sure! Thanks Asurion! read more

I called T-Mobile and Samsung tech support, and they were not able to help. But Val saved the day! She clearly is very knowledgeable. Horrible business. Looks and acts like a place ran by a mafia for money laundering. The advertisement states "free diagnostics". My laptop stopped turning on completely. The horizontally challenged male says that it'll cost me $49.99 for the diagnostic fee. He says that he diagnosed it by looking at it and that it won't turn on. (Duh?) Then he proceeded to try to sell me a membership to get a lower diagnostic fee have a lower turnaround time. When I declined, he took my $50 and said that since I am not a member, they will get back to me in 10 business days. I called back in 7 business days for an update and the same horizontally challenged male told me (as he stuttered or was choking on his triple patty w/ bacon and extra cheeseburger) that he tried to call but no answer. I never received a call. A legitimate business would have left a message. He then told me that they couldn't fix it because they don't have the part. Worst experience I have ever had in my entire life. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

We were visiting from NorCal so didn't have all of our normal options.
