Like the reset of us humans usually do , I dropped my Iphone. Shattered the screen . it's was dangerously shattered to the point you would cut your self if you tried to swipe or press and in my case try and press the home button because mine was an older model. Unfortunately for me I dropped my phone at night. Of course uBreakiFix wasn't open at the time. I called first thing when they opened. Told me to come on down and they had my phone fixed and ready to go promptly. The service was great. I also had another issue with the same phone after the initial screen fix. My battery life was diminishing and the battery was not holding a charge. I called the store to ask if this is something they could fix, and YES they could. Kudos to Carlos A. who saved my iPod classic! I had done a DIY upgrade to my old 160GB iPod classic, replacing the hard drive with SD cards and increasing my storage significantly. All was going well until I tried to re-insert the battery ribbon cable into it's receptacle - the plug, terminal, whatever you want to call it, popped off the logic board. OH NO! This required soldering on a micro level. Called around to the Ubreakifix store in Thousand Oaks who directed me to their Oxnard location. I explained the situation to Carlos and he understood my dilemma. He agreed to accept the challenge and boy did he rise to the occasion. I dropped off my iPod at the TO store, Carlos picked it up after hours and worked on it the following day at his Oxnard store. Called me in the afternoon and pronounced it good to go. He returned it to the TO store where I picked it up again. Brought it home, restored the iPod and I now have 512GB of storage available! Carlos took the extra time to make sure that everything was A-OK. Fried my iphone during an experiment with a charging cable, took it here to see if I could get it fixed. Showed up and explained the issue, and they offered to take it in for a free diagnostic. Explained plainly what they would try and that if it didn't work there was nothing they could do, and told me it'd take about 2 hours. Came back 3 hours later, asked for an update, and someone came out and explained to me that he tried what he could (replaced battery, charging port, and both), and the phone still wouldn't work, meaning the motherboard was likely fried and there was nothing they could do. Offered to recycle the phone for me, then said I was good to go, no cost to me during the whole process. Easy, friendly, and smooth experience, sucks that my phone couldn't be fixed but I understand they can only do so much. Would recommend. read more

My Pixel 4 had a defective screen and I wasn't able to exchange it for a new one as my retailer didn't have one in stock. I decided to try uBreakiFix since they are Google's authorized repair service and the repair would fall under warranty at no cost to me. I was admittedly a bit wary of repair shops, not knowing what to expect and hoping my phone wouldn't be worse than before. Carlos is absolutely the man! When I spoke with him on the phone he told me he knows Pixel phones very well and it would be no problem, and I immediately felt much more at ease. The next day I showed up dealt with Carlos very nice guy very professional I told him what was quoted to me and he said the $150 was actually &350 if you have the Apple X phone . I had the apple 7s so that was $69.99 plus a plexi glass total was like $100 plus . I told him I heard different the day before kinda pricey . My batter life on my OG pixel has been so terrible that it essentially needed to be permanently plugged to a power source. Carlos greeted me at their store and was able to change it for an original google battery in under 2 hours! He mentioned that my screen had actually cracked during the repair, but they replaced the screen free of charge. Now my phone is as good as new with a warranty on the battery. I was resigned to buying a new phone. My screen was shattered and my phone was barely functioning from a usability standpoint in regards to speed. Carlos saved the day. He said not only could he repair my screen(pieces had even fallen off), but said he might know what else is wrong. He opened my phone and found the battery had expanded, likely causing the screen to shatter so badly. The battery was toast. He helped file the claim with my carrier for the screen and I got a new battery. I couldn't believe it when I picked up my phone 30 min later.
