The customer service at this location is awful. I was told it is walkin only and i live 1 1/2 hours away so i go in at 4p and was told they couldn't do it that day i would have to bring it back. I am stuck coming to this because they are the only one with the parts for my phone. I call the next day and they say well they are backed up but if i have it there by 4p they will have time to fix it. I got there about 1 pm and i told them i would be waiting in my car since im not familiar with the area and they will have my phone. They didn't get done with it til nearly 5p. My macbook pro needed a new screen. I got a brand new screen, however my battery was switched out to a dead one and would only power on if it was connected to charger and even then I could barely use it. My old battery was at 91%, so I know my computer was tampered with. Even upon receiving my computer, the two workers were acting suspicious whispering among themselves for a long time before I could even get me computer back. My older HP laptop needed repair. The service person was very helpful in trying to get it working before accepting it for repair. That was very nice. Also, while I was there an elderly gentleman walked in with a watch that was clearly not an Apple watch, he needed the band reattached or something similarly non-technical. These very respectful young men kindly and without being snarky, suggested a place that the work could be done. This type of kindness is extremely rare. Kudos to their moms! read more

Ever since this location was bought out by Asurion the service has been horrible, The guys working the front desk are super nice and helpful- however can't help with anything else. The manager is never there doesn't return calls and doesn't stand behind his products. They scheduled me on the 4th. 5 people were all waiting in the lot for them to open.All of us had 11 am appointments. No one ever showed up or opened. The calls are all handled through corporate and not locally. The estimate online was $199 when I finally for a real appointment they told me it was $280. Now after the repairs were done, the parts are not Genuine and I am getting warnings. DO NOT GO HERE- UNLESS YOU WANT A BIG HASSLE. read more

I called to get a screen repaired through insurance. The store wanted to keep the iPad while they ordered a replacement screen for 3-5 business days. I explained that I was willing to put down a deposit to be able to use the iPad while they were waiting for the screen. The employee explained that this was not policy. This is where things got fun. I asked to speak with. The manager. I was told no and when I asked to leave a message, I was told that was not possible. The employee explained the manager had personal business and this was a privately run store so there was no-one I could speak to about the situation. I asked for the employees name and the managers name and the employee hung up on me. I just have to laugh. In these days of it being hard to find good help, I haven't ever been hung up on before. He also mentioned before hanging up on me that if I didn't like it, I should just go elsewhere. Absolutely, hilarious. They took over 2 weeks to not fix anything saying that it was beyond their ability to fix. When I went in to pick it up the online tracker said I was still waiting for parts, and even the clerk at the desk was under the impression I was refusing the repair when I came in to pick it up. If I had to guess I would say the part never came in, and they got sick of me bothering them about it and decided to just return the PS4. The absolute worst non existent curbside service I've experienced during the pandemic. I had an insurance claim, insurance company assured me they offer curbside service, I arrived and reluctantly they took my phone and claim paperwork that was emailed to me. I parked in front of the store waited for repair in my vehicle and saw not one employee wearing a mask. They had my phone for 35 minutes the attendant came to my vehicle and said they don't practice or do curbside service. "REALLY " again they took my phone and held me hostage for 35 minutes I wasn't comfortable to go in as they requested I asked for my phone and left. I did ask the attendant why they didn't where masks or practice any safety precautions to customers his reply was "we don't believe in wearing masks as we talk to customers "SERIOUSLY". I called my insurance company and they accommodated me and offered the Mokena location where I was met by Jake Jake had a mask, gloves and took great care to protect me my phone and offered outstanding customer service. This office in Plainfield should go to Mokena and be trained. Of course both attendants in Plainfield had real attitude and pretty much went out of their way to make some sort of point that I'm really not interested in. It's a real disappointment for one store to do so well and one to act so rude and condescending. My visit was on May 19th. By the way for the safety of others I did have a mask on!!!!! read more

Turnaround time was 3 hours, but under present circumstances with Apple Stores closed, is understandable. We got the aftermarket battery, which is less expensive than Apple battery. So far so good. Poor customer service. I called them to tell them I had a cracked screen and that I had already spoken with Samsung. The person who answered the phone said there would be no charge as they could easily see if the phone was under warranty by checking some number. I even asked them how long it took for them to fix the screen at which they informed me it would take 2 hours. After driving 30 minutes to get to the store none of the employees knew what i was talking about and couldn't even remember me calling in. What a waist of time. Wife brought her iPhone 6s to get the screen fixed which was cracked from the dog biting it. On 9/6, we got the screen fixed and got a glass cover for it. About a week later, the screen already had a crack without dropping it. I emailed corporate support who said to bring it in. I just brought it in and they said we dropped it because of the crack on the corner which was there originally. We did not drop it. They said nothing can be done. I would recommend paying a little more and just getting your screen fixed at the Apple Store. read more

They advertise they can fix any device. I brought in a Motorola phone and they couldn't fix it properly. I went in with a cracked screen and came back with the power button in a weird position. I go to power it on one day and the button goes inside the phone! I bring it back and tell them what happened, and they labeled it as me taking the case on and off constantly. I have no idea where they got that, but they "fixed" it again and I see the power button feels more fragile than usual. You're better off getting a new device than repairing the old. read more
