Horrible experience with this company. My brand new Samsung S21 is super hot and I don't mean in a good way! Hot as it is burning up, hot to the touch if I take pics when it's more than 70 degrees outside. Since it's under warranty, the AT&T rep directed me here to have the battery replaced for free. So on a Saturday I drove out to Janzen Beach, told the tech the issue specifically saying it happens when I am taking pictures. They logged in the phone and told me to come back in 2 hours. When I returned I was expecting a phone that now worked properly without overheating. Wrong. The tech said the phone had zero issues for them. I questioned how they came to that conclusion. He said they played video games on it for an hour and it never got hot so there was no need to replace the battery. Huh? It's like going to a doctor and saying my foot hurts when I walk and the doctor says, well I x-rayed your hand and nothing is broken! I tried to explain that I don't play video games and that isn't the issue. The problem is when I take pics. He recommended that I don't use a case, put it in my purse or in my pocket as the lack of air circulation may be causing the issue. Huh? It's a mobile phone! Am I supposed to leave it home on the counter? If I don't put it in my purse, pocket or on my person, how the heck do I carry it around? Oh,, and I had to delete the stupid games they installed on my phone! Worst service ever. They don't deserve one star but zero isn't an option. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

Complete and utter criminals. Take your device here at your own risk! These people will try and rip you off. I filed an insurance claim though Samsung to get the inner screen fixed on my fold 4 repaired. Samsung told me to go to a ubreakifix location. I choose the Jantzen Beach location. The day of the appointment someone from here called to make sure they had the part for my fold 5. I do not have a fold 5, I own a fold 4. I told them this. They said come on in we have the part. Brought my phone in to have the inner screen replaced because it wasn't working. I was told it would be done in two hours. Over an hour later I get a call from them. They said we're calling about your fold 5. I again said I don't own a fold 5, I brought in a fold 4. Benjamin insisted again it was a fold 5. I again told him that I don't own a fold 5. I brought in a fold 4. He seemed frustrated with this, then told me the front screen was broken. I said that, the front screen absolutely was not broken an hour ago when I dropped it off. Benjamin copped an attitude with me and said "I told you we broke the front screen when we tried to fix the inner screen." Well Ben, first of all you didn't say that. Second that is not how you talk to customers when you are telling them you broke their property. He then told me they would have to order the part and it would at least a week, or I could mail it to Samsung and that would be two weeks. I asked if another location could fix it today since they were at fault for breaking it. He told me "I don't know, you would have to call around." Wow, that is really helpful Ben. I told him I would call them back. A few mins later, they called me back. They said that the confusion was that Samsung filed the insurance claim wrong, and put down that it was a fold 5, not 4. That I would have to call and have the claim changed myself. Ok, lets for a moment assume that was true that the claim was for a fold 5, and not a 4 (it wasn't). Why didn't you figure this out when you called this morning and I told you it was a fold 4? Why didn't you figure this out when I dropped my phone off and it wasn't the model you have on your paperwork? The biggest question though, is how do you start fixing a device, when you don't even have the right part for it, then call the customer and still not know it's the wrong device?? When I told you again and again it was a fold 4?! That aside, if your company breaks my device, then your company should be paying out of pocket to fix it. Instead they wanted me to get my insurance to pay for it. Worse than that, they expected me to waste more of my time calling to get that to happen. They refused to do anything to fix the device they broke unless I called insurance. They refused to call any other locations to see if they had the part in stock. As a bonus, they also then told me, that they wouldn't even have time to fix it that same day now. I did call insurance. The claim was correct. They are filed by IMEI number and that number clearly indicates the correct model phone. Benjamin on behalf of the Jantzen Beach ubreakfixit location lied. They broke my phone more than it was when I brought it in and then tried to get paid to fix it. All without ever apologizing, or offering to do anything at all to make it right. I ended up walking out the door with a phone that now was completely unusable after having 3 hours of my time wasted. I called the Clackamas location and explained what happened. They were very nice, and helpful. They told me what I could do to get this made right. I really wish I had gone there in the first place. If you are still considering going to this location after reading this review, read some of the other reviews, and the owners responses. I should have done that before going here. I took my phone here to be repaired because the screen was flickering intermittently. Not only were they too inept to repair my phone. They completely broke my phone. It no longer works at all. Benjamin told me that there was nothing that he could do unless I contacted my insurance company to open another claim. They had every intention of trying to be paid for an additional repair after breaking my phone. I believe that my phone was intentionally broken by these crooked thieves. read more

Excellent service. Last time I tried to get a phone fixed, at a different place, it took weeks and they never really fixed it. This was a different phone with a different issue, so it's not really a good comparison, but I was expecting a similar experience and was very pleasantly surprised that it was the opposite. The tech at Ubreakifix diagnosed the problem quickly, told us he could fix it and how long it would take, and fixed it while we shopped at nearby stores. Best of all, he found that the problem was a "known issue" with this model and therefore the cost was covered by the manufacturer -- even though I was past the warranty and did not have an extended warranty! My only minor complaints: 1) the tech promised to text us, on my friend's phone, when mine was ready, but failed to do that. We finally called him and found out it was ready, so we probably could have picked it up sooner if he had texted as promised. 2) the location is extremely car-oriented. If you prefer to travel by bike or transit it is possible, but tricky, to get here (you can take Max to Expo Center and then walk or bike a winding path) -- especially if your phone is broken so you lack navigation assistance! Would be nice if there were another location in a more urban setting. But despite those two drawbacks, I am giving Ubreakifix the full five stars! Thank you for fixing my phone. read more

Came in with a Pixel 7a having battery issues, which was covered under the devices extended warranty as this was a known issue. uBreakiFix was identified as the certified fix location. However they were unable to get the information entered correctly to process the covered repair and I was told if I wanted it fixed I would need to pay out of pocket. read more

I've taken several phones here for repair through AT&T insurance over the years. Absolutely have had no issues and the repairs done quickly but today kinda pissed me off. Went and picked up my phone and was handed a brochure saying since I got my phone repaired I was "automatically" signed up for Asurion Home+. I'd get it for a month free but I'd have to call and cancel it or be charged $34.99 a month. I very firmly said I don't want it and for a brief second he acted like he wasn't sure if he could cancel it. I'm sure these employees are pressured to sell the Home+ coverage but that's flat out scammy to say you automatically get signed up with any repair and you have to call in order to get it cancelled. read more

Scheduled an appointment over a week ago to have iPhone 13 screen repaired for $200 on the website. They text me 50 min before my appointment that they don't have the "aftermarket" part and that it's going to be significantly more expensive for OEM. Nothing on the website mentioned an "aftermarket screen". The OEM was quoted $379.99 for them. I normally do not write reviews, but I thought I should write this one. I brought my Thinkpad X1 laptop in for repairs to a computer repair service in Gresham. After a few days, they called me and told me it was not repairable. I decided to get a second opinion and brought it to uBreakiFix at Hayden Island. After the debacle with a uBreakiFix in Phoenix, Arizona a couple weeks ago where they charged me $86 to install an 'official Samsung replacement battery' that, oddly enough, worked no better than the one they supposedly replaced, I hesitated when the Samsung rep's at the Cascade Station Best Buy told me that uBreakiFix was the only place I could get my phone fixed. I should have listened to my instincts. After dropping my phone off, they wasted 24 hours of my time and an extra hour's drive from my house to their location when they could have told me in the first two minutes I was there that they could not help me by simply checking the my phone's IMEI. I was given the runaround for five days between my visits to the Cascade Station Best Buy, uBreakiFix, Samsung, and the Cascade Station Geek Squad, where the whole SNAFU originally started. Went to pixel 4 XL in the shop for a speaker issue and Logan was working and he helped me out to diagnose the issue out and get it all squared away and I think I was in the shop around 4:30 p.m. and I got the text at 6:55 that it was ready to be picked up so he had that guy fixed in no time at all. The guys here are really good at their craftsmanship, they have great attitudes and their turnaround time is super quick so I would highly recommend them. The tempered glass screen protector on my relatively new iPhone 8 was welded on and I couldn't get it off for the life of me - my husband tried a heat gun, a butter knife, a sharp tool, etc. NOTHING worked, and none of the Youtube tricks worked either. My phone looked terrible with a cracked and chipped away screen protector pretty much welded onto the glass. We happened to be driving by on the freeway on I-5 and saw the sign for uBreakiFix near Janzen Beach. We walked in and waited for about 20 minutes, and voila! screen protector removed! I am SO HAPPY! I thought I had to replace the glass on my phone!!! Customer service was also impeccable, the storefront was super clean and new, and there is a tv to watch while you wait (as you don't have a phone to play with). Thank you!!! read more

I am so annoyed right now. My friend broke my screen and brought it here to fix my iPhone XR. Once I received it back I could already tell it was the cheaper screen because the color was off. Then I noticed It was installed incorrectly, there was an indent in the glass and you could feel a lip on the edge like they didn't push it on all the way. It would also go haywire when I would true to text and I couldn't figure out what buttons I was trying to press. Then to top it all off my phone was just sitting on a table and it cracked. The screen must have sunk into place because I no longer see the indent. Just a busted phone. HUGE WASTE of $200. I called to see if they could fix it and the best they could do is give me a 10% discount. Not worth it! Go anywhere else. They are scamming you. I work around alot of rock and sand plants been having to get my speakers cleaned for a bit now and first time I wasn't charged and left with a deep clean and best sounding speakers since I got my phone. Highly recommend them. I have never had a worse experience. Got my Iphone screen replaced at the Jantzen Beach location. My phone worked fine before I went in to get my screen replaced. After I got my phone back my touch id did not work at all. Then when I tried to respond to a text using the microphone that id not work either. I went back in and asked about it and they said they would check it out. After waiting another 45 minutes they brought my phone back and said we do not know what to do. i asked for my money to be refunded and was told they would not refund my money nor would they repair my phone. Because they do not know how to fix the issues that they caused. Do not go go there unless you just want to be ripped of by incompetent people. so now I am out the money they charged to not fix my phone plus they caused damage to my phone that I will have to pay again to have it fixed all caused by them. I was in a hurry and dropped my Pixel 3a in a parking lot a couple weeks ago. It landed on its top corner and cracked and the crack worsened as time went on. Boo. Greg got me fixed up with new glass in about an hour for $109. The process was easy and painfree (other than having to spend the money for being careless.) I was excited to see this newer location as I had to drive out to Washington Square last time I needed work done on my phone. I sincerely hope not to be back here anytime soon but would definitely come back here if I do something dumb again. read more

My samsung tablet suddenly stopped working correctly, and a trip to the samsung kiosk at best buy was not helpful. The guy there suggested this place, and i drove there. Logan listened to my story (i am not a techie), suggested it was probably an issue with a failed software update, and suggested either a factory reset (free) or a service they could do for a reasonable fee. I opted for the factory reset, and he spent quite a while walking me through it right at the counter! It worked! This place is the greatest! I will be recommending it to friends and going there from here on! read more

This place is awful, take your phone elsewhere. My new screen was coming off my phone within a week and their repair method was to glue it down. My touch screen went haywire and they said it was probably because they bent the screen too much when trying to set the screen back. The glue repair looked like crap, I had glue coming out of my phone. They don't follow their own warranty and have 0 integrity as a business. I came back several times just to try and get my free repair done without having to leave it overnight. On my way in a tripped and put a new crack on the phone, which should not of done anything to the warranty because it didn't do any more damage than they had already done. Their sketchy fix/glue job already started cracking long before this happened but they used it as an opportunity to say the warranty was void due to damage. This place is awful, take your phone elsewhere. Brought my pixel 4a here for repair. First time leaving the screen was lifting off my phone, called them and they said to bring it back and they would repair. Brought the phone back the next day, when picking up this time didn't say anything handed me the phone, I went on my way. On the ride home I noticed the sensitivity was messed up and I couldn't type or send messages, so I called again and then they told me over the phone the bezels were now broken on my phone (which they weren't when I brought it in and was never mentioned during initial repair or when picking up the phone) and their repair to the lifting screen was to bend the screen up and reglue it back down. Their glue job was horrendous and there was new damage to the body of my phone, but not only extra damage now the screen was going haywire and not working. They said bring it back again and they'll replace the entire screen since it didn't work because they bent it while trying to glue it down, but they would need it overnight. Fast forward to today, my boyfriend went to bring the phone in and tripped and cracked the screen, no big deal right?? They were already replacing the screen due to their hack job of a replacement, and now my third time into the store to repair the stupid thing. Nope. Now that the screen has a crack they won't replace the broken screen, even though it was already haywire and I was told they were replacing it under warranty.
