I've been here 3-4 times in the last few months and still haven't found anything to bring me back. My last visit featured lemon-pepper wings which I tried and give them a solid 2 on a ten point scale. Same experience in the past. I think I'm done with the old hotel. read more

We went back to try again after a bad takeout experience and we were pleasantly pleased . Our server was attentive and helpful , we were seated promptly and drinks came quickly . We had our grandson and they got his pizza in early . The pizza puffs were tasty with Marinata but cheese sauce was terrible , cold and right out of the can . Stick with the marinara . If I could score a lower number I would. Wife and I have gone regularly to this location over the years, tonight is the start of summer celebration. I'd say the restaurant is 50% occupancy, but the service is absolutely horrible, 2 bartenders that have ZERO experience working, 20 min just making drinks cause they are looking up how to make them. I like this place for a lot of reasons. The staff is always so friendly, the outdoor seating is nice, the ambience is super laid back and the food is good. We haven't tried much on the menu, but we split the oven baked Italian sub and it was great. Drinks are priced reasonably and they have a great happy hour. Super slow and poor service. Had to ask multiple times for simple items, napkins, water refill, silverware to eat our food. Also the fact that they add 3% administrative fee to your bill to cover the increase in food cost, this just seems like a tacky way to accomplish this increase. read more

Food was great, but the service on the other hand could definitely have improvement. Our server Erin had very very bad service not only did she not check in with us she barely even came to our table. She even went as far as to visibly talk about us in a bad manner. Saying things like "they better tip" and that we are annoying. Love their food. Absolutely hate their 3% administrative fee. If the fee is to offset credit card fees, offer a 3% discount for cash paying customers. Otherwise just raise your prices 3%. Sneaking an extra fee into the bill isn't the way to go. read more

U-fries we're good, ordered two orders. Then we ordered a seafood risotto, the sever took our order but didn't make eye contact. So bad we thought she hadn't heard us. Then we ordered another drink and she also didn't acknowledge us. Just rudely dropped drinks at the counter. The servers name was Heather, she was nice to everyone except for us. service was good lady was friendly and helpful. food was bad. the Mac and cheese bisto was overly spicy and upset my wife's stomach with the spice. if you like really spicy this may be for you. Also the Alfredo with fettuccine noodles and meat balls Was not good. Never seen that kinda sauce be so watery. It literally could not even stay on the noodles. I requested red sauce to add to it to try and at least have alittle flavor but the only thing that did was add $3 to my bill. The pizza my daughter liked but was $22 which is just expensive. My other daughter got the stake and it was suppose to have some pink and was overcooked and dry. She did like the potatoes she got. Surroundings was fine. Not to loud and could chat easily. The 3% service fee On the check was disappointing To say the least on overpriced food already. Service and environment was fine. So 2 points for that. pizza was good but overpriced and the rest was nothing you want to eat again. 1 point for pizza. 1/2 point for mac and cheese because spicy lovers may like it. Alfredo -2 sauce was watery and tasteless. $3 for extra sauce is overboard 50cent seems more fair. Ordered a pizza and dessert item over the phone for take out last night. I was told 45 minutes. When we arrived to pick up our order, I was told they lost the order and it would be another 45 minutes to make another. They offered a free desert item for their blunder. How about a free pizza for the next time we order for wrecking dinner? How about putting a new order in front of the queue? Perhaps maybe only a 10 to 15 minute wait if this was offered. This review is for the lunch buffet that they have on the week days. A solid 4 stars here. Not as big as the Beltline restaurant, but pretty sure they have a smaller crowd as well. Pizza was good, just lacked a couple more variety for me. 3 to chose from. Small salad bar. The bread sticks were crispy and hollow. Good, but not enough dough with them being hollow. Potatoes were good, just cold. They did have 3 soups to choose from, but I didn't try any of them. The pasta dish was good and my wife liked the fish and roasted chicken. They also have prime rib and ham that they cut for you. I tried the ham and it was good. One desert to choose from but it was really good. Place was clean. Never been to this Uccello's before, but it did not disappoint. Friendly staff and good service. I don't get up to Rockford that much, but I may go here again if we do go up that way again. read more

We've been here several times and I really like the fettuccini Alfredo. The cheesy garlic bread with marinara is a must order and the Mac n cheese is great for kids. The appetizers (like cheese sticks) seem to be just standard frozen mozzarella you can buy from a grocery store, so I wouldn't recommend spending $ on those. Went to the pub but they stopped serving food, so I asked if there were any other places still serving at 10pm. They said try Uccellos across the street. We called there to see if they were still open and were still serving. They said yes, so we walked across the street for a real treat! It wasn't that busy, but the service and food was 100%. I'm so bummed that the Corner Bar is never open anymore, but this place was GREAT! Good sports bar option in Rockford. Standard Uccello's food.. haven't had anything bad. This location is much smaller than most Uccello's and I find it to get pretty crowded. They do have a very small patio for outdoor seating. Lots of TV's! Smaller craft draft menu, but rotates with the season, so thats nice! read more

Really simple delicious straightforward meal late one Saturday night. Love that they have 8oz pour wines and I had the seafood Alfredo which was delicious - seafood wasn't over cooked, not too much sauce, perfect. Caesar salad was nice and crisp. My server Danielle was so nice and she brought me hot ciabatta rolls that tasted just like the hot rolls you used to get at Bertucci's back in the day! I really like this location. My husband and I have eaten at most of the Uccellos around West MI. To me, this is the nicest location. I've tried other dishes, but I really like the pizza. The pizza also has a really good sauce. It has a kind of sweet flavor and is smooth. My only complaint is that they use canned mushrooms. Maybe some people don't care, but I can't stand them. You can specify fresh but sometimes canned still come out. Maybe I'm being picky but it's a drawback. The house salads are good, and you get a breadstick. There's a good beer selection with drink specials. Overall, I'm glad they came to Rockford! read more
