My reason for the 2 star review was because of lack of communication and not reliable. I reserved a scooter for 4 days and on that form I requested to have it at my hotel at 9AM the first day.... NOPE! It did not arrived at that time and they did not answer my text about the arrival of the scooter nor text me if it arrived.... Why even have options to request a time when you can't honor it? (She said it's up to them to confirm whether THEY CAN DO YOUR TIME or not...also they don't pick up at 5PM apparently) I PAID FOR A SCOOTER FOR A WHOLE DAY WITHOUT USING IT... she did extend my pick up the morning after (since it's their fault they don't pick up at 5pm, but it should've have been extended anyways because I requested for a 5PM pick up the last day but she wanted to pick it up at 11AM??? What is this?! SO ABSURD. You're making me pay a full fourth day and I only get it before noon??? Who does that? Y'all trying to milk tourist money.) They RUINED my plans because my dad needed that scooter the first day! THAT IS WHY I BOOKED IT FOR THOSE DAYS.... TO USE THE SCOOTER AT THAT SPECIFIC TIME. So unprofessional. I felt so bad my dad was struggling to walk during our first full day of vacation. Tbh, my first impression wasn't the greatest despite all the rave reviews on Yelp. My dad had a stroke and can only use his left hand. I needed to confirm that the scooter can be used with just one hand, but there was no mention of it on the website. So I called to ask and the lady who picked up didn't seem to be having the best day. She sighed and seemed inconvenienced by my questions. After discussing with my dad what he wanted, I decided to call back and this time I spoke to Hugh. He was incredibly helpful and friendly! He assured me that my dad would be able to operate the scooter with one hand and that it would allow him more independence than a manual push wheelchair -- and he was spot on! My dad loved the mobility the scooter gave him. We were able to go further and longer than we normally would. Matt was also punctual and pleasant. We stayed at the Moana Surfrider and U-Go Mobility was able to conveniently arrange to have the scooter available at the bell desk when we checked in, and drop off with the bell desk when we were ready to check out. Hugh was also very responsive via call/text and payment was very easy. I can't recommend U-Go Mobility enough. Amazing customer service, with a "can-do" attitude! I called to inquire about a wheelchair rental, to escort a disabled lady on a fun day on the town in Honolulu. I rented a transport wheelchair and a rollator walker for my mother. Having access for my mother to these assistive devices without having to bring her own was so helpful. I fell and broke my ankle. The hospital only gave me crutches and the contact information for equipment companies but none of them delivered. I was scared and in pain. Because of Covid my family could not be with me. I called U Go Mobility from the emergency room. Without the scooters having my parents join us would have been impossible. One of our children was receiving their Masters degree from Hawaii Pacific University.
