Bought a Revi Cheetah from the shop, no problems yet. - Got into an accident, took bike back, bent forks and a bent axel. - Insurance paid me $1,050 which I paid him for repairs. - I got upgraded forks and ok'd the repairs. - He DIDN'T repair the bent axel and instead told me I needed a whole new assembly. $1,050 got me upgraded shocks ($480) and "labor". $1,050 and that got me new shocks put on and fenders held on by ZIP TIES. - Went to an actual repair shop (McCully Bike, Sporting and Repair, highly recommended) and in 15 seconds he identified the bent axel and gave me a quote that sure as hell wasn't the price of a new assembly. I purchased an AEB folding bike from this business in 2020. Great and fun ride that gets me a lot of compliments but also, I bought loving the idea I could break down the bike and put it into my car. Aside from purchase, Henry and his female co-worker have assisted with any needs I had for the purchase, as well as repair when the bike wasn't working for a very reasonable price. The shop in itself is small but e wheel (rhymes with "corn") everywhere. From scooters to mountain and accessories. The size of my ebike wheel tire tube which is a 20" isn't readily available in many shops but Aloha E-Bikes has them! Henry was working on the same bike I purchased from and was upgrading it with a new fork with shocks (not available with stock version) for another rider. I wish I had taken photos ! Well run small business that is worth it's weight in the "e" industry! I ride my Aloha E-Bike all around the island and love every minute it of it. The price is high but it's because of the lack of competition in Hawaii. The bike itself is what I wanted. It's a commuter bike for paved roads. Hawaii roads are often bumpy so it would have helped if it had shocks. Also no lights which is surprising because the display seems to indicate that they should be there. There are only two colors of red and yellow. I have the yellow one which stands out so it's a good thing for safety. Also it has two modes for power which are ped-assisted and thumb throttle. Took me 3x driving through the 3rd world parking lot to find them, only to see a sign that reads "Closed on Sundays" on their front door. I desperately wanted to purchase an e-bike. Their products are very cheap quality you're better off ordering off Amazon or any of the brand name sites. They woman is very rude and greedy, she only cares about money and not about customers at all. Rented an e-bike here after a recommendation from a co-worker. I was researching on whether or not an e-bike would help with the hills along my daily work commute route. The store is located in a very busy strip mall, so parking was a challenge but patience prevailed. I was graciously greeted by the owner who I had emailed earlier about renting a bike. The shop is quite small but he had a variety to choose from to rent. In fact, the rental I was given was a brand new bike. After filling out some paperwork, a check of the tire pressure, and a tour of the controls, I was off. My rental was trimmed short due to a pinch flat on the rear tire. Fortunately, I have a bike rack so I brought it back to the store where the owner offered to repair it while I wait. However, I had a long enough ride for my research and my rental price was fairly adjusted without even asking. I would have no reservation recommending Aloha E-bikes when shopping to buy or rent an e-bike. read more

Henry is amazing! Great knowledge and very straightforward! I love how he keeps it real and is respectful. Got a scooter here with my boyfriend, they only have one kind the AEB-e-Go S-350 but got it for a great price and it was one sale (original price is $850 and it was one sale for $699), it has all the things I was looking for. There are lights in the front, rear and sides (sides have 3 colors, green blue and red) The scooter has an electric bell and blinkers. The scooter has a LCD speedometer, the front has shocks and both wheels are air. The range is about 15-20 depending on your weight. Weight capacity is reccomended under 200lbs and the max speed is about 23mph. The scooter has a great feature of an alarm system, has 2 keys for the alarm!! You can find all the information online which I did before coming in. I was able to have my boyfriend test drive it. It's great to support a local business! Highly recommend! read more

It's quite sad to see in 2020 there are still local businesses looking to survive with very rude customer service. We were prepared to buy two e-bikes and spend a few thousand dollars in this shop until the worker told us we can't touch the bikes. She was extremely condescending and rude, didn't offer any information on the bikes and basically chased us out of her store. How am I supposed to make such a large purchase without touching the bike? Do we buy cars the same way? This was unacceptable , we ended up going to another local shop that was much more friendly. Purchased an E-bike last year. It worked well, but only when it worked. There were many issues with the electrical connections coming loose when riding on the roads around town. Henry fixed it once at no cost but sure enough the connections came loose again a week later. He stated that the bike was not to be ridden on bumpy surfaces (however none of the sidewalks and streets in town are completely smooth). I am giving only 1 star since they would not let me return the malfunctioning bike even though i only used it for a couple weeks for light commuting to work (during which it was being repaired at their shop part of the time). Although the bike was still in new condition, they only offered to allow me to return the bike if they could charge me the daily rental fee, giving me back any partial refund remaining on my initial payment (total refund was less than 70% of what I had originally paid). I told them that their offer was ridiculous because I shouldn't have to pay a full-price rental fee for a bike that was malfunctioning half the time and left me stranded a few times. I had to walk it miles uphill a few times when it malfunctioned on the way home (too heavy to ride up steep hills with no power). I finally got them to agree to discount the rental fees further, but they still would not provide a full refund. Just wanting to put this whole ordeal behind me, I accepted the offer and vowed to myself to never purchase a cheap knockoff E-bike again. One last note, the warranty on these bikes is horrible. They only provide a 15 day warranty for parts and labor, starting from the date of purchase. They said my bike was not covered under warranty because there was nothing wrong with it, and I was misusing it by riding it on bumpy roads. read more

A friend of mine gave me one of their eBikes for my birthday and while it is such a wonderful, thoughtful gift that was soo awesome unfortunately Aloha eBikes decided that it wasn't worth their time after we rode it all the way down there. The bike needed some work because nothing was working on it as far as electrical and even the derailer needed to be changed or something it just kept skipping sprockets so it was really hard to ride down there. I had lost my key to the battery and they told me too bad that they don't help with that anymore and wouldn't even let me leave the bike there so I could go get my car to come back and pick it up. I finally found a private party person that knows eBikes to get it running but as far as buying something from these folks again well just know that once you buy it you are on your own. They don't support their products that they are selling hmmm I think not. read more

I started off just renting a electric bike to being confident enough to purchase one for myself. I wanted reliable short range transportation and easy access to healthy exercise. Henry is a refreshing honest and patient small businessman even with noob bicycle people like me. One of the only major concerns to me is keeping water and grime out of the controller chamber. I bought a folding model and found out my back tire was spinning the gunk into the compartment which helped cause my bike to malfunction and move on it own when I had the bike turned on... All of the accessories that you need for biking are right in his store. From tires, tubes, helmets, bike seats, locks, etc. they have everything. It was great to rent a bike from Aloha e-bikes! I had never tried one, but they are perfect for running around without a car, getting by all the terrible traffic and getting a little exercise without the worry of running out of my own energy! I loved how quiet they were, and MUCH less expensive than renting a scooter! I tried to pedal most of the time, but needed to use the motor-assist part of the time. If I did it again, I would rent one for the whole month that we were staying there. I didn't realize that the battery pack slips out so you can charge it in your room; I thought I needed an outlet next to the bike. At any rate, it's a great way to get around! read more

I and my 2 friends have been in Hawaii during our last weekend getaway from NYC. We have stopped at Aloha E-Bikes and rented their e-bikes for site-seeing in town at Honolulu, Waikiki, Diamond Head and all the way to Hanauma Bay. It was beautiful and the e-bikes were very smooth and could get us to some gorgeous beaches which regular car visitors could never discover.
