The pants were especially bad, the center seam was haphazardly pinched and sown together. With my wedding in two weeks, I gave these guys a call, and it was the best decision ever. Not only did they turn it around in time, I felt so taken care of. Nick and the team are truly amazing. They obsessed over the results more than I did, and wouldn't stop until it was perfect. Nelson makes suggestions and provides valuable feedback that is honest and not necessarily always in his own interest (a good thing). For example, when we were there trying on clothing, he recommended to a girl who wanted a bridesmaid's dress altered that it wasn't worth the cost to do such an alteration and it wouldn't look that great. He was honest with her instead of focusing on trying to sell more product/collect more money - the mark of a true professional. I will get all my clothing tailored here and will recommend him to all my friends.

Both suits required a moderate amount of work but nothing major, and I was charged about $350 total -- no specifics, more of a holistic billing approach. But the Yelp reviews were very positive (even better at the time than they are now) so I was willing to shell out. B. The work was very clearly farmed out to someone else, and was done terribly. One of the pants was taken in so far in the seat that about half my butt fit inside it. Nelson's response was to say "oh, one of my guys must have done that" and he fixed it in about ten minutes, and to his credit fixed it very well. I have no idea who that other guy was or how he could possibly have believed a human ass would have been covered by his tailoring, but he was not ready for his assignments. The other pants were cut similarly, but I was fed up and just left -- before I even noticed that the sleeves on one of the jackets were uneven. Nelson himself is probably a great tailor, as evidenced by his cleanup job, but whoever he's giving work to...well, you might as well do it yourself with nail scissors and floss. C. It took forever. I finally called after 5 weeks or so and was told that "your suits have been here forever, we left you several messages, why haven't YOU picked up your suits?" This was, of course, blatantly not true . . . especially since I then showed up, and only one of my suits was there (the other still with Tailor X, as he figured out how to eliminate more butt fabric). PSA: take your stuff elsewhere. You've been warned.

Sleeves originally had a balloon style cuff, but I was fine with a simple no-cuff hem. (think price was kept high...) - $5: small hole in a thin knit sweater - $40: shorten long sleeves, a ribbed cotton shirt - $20: (thinking about calling for a refund) shorten cotton PJ pants. There was a double row of thread on the original hem design that Frankie mentioned. I said that I'm fine with a single regular hem...WHY I didn't pay attention when she wrote everything down & gave me the total for my 3 items! I contacted them, and they apologized and agreed to finish the suit. After I got the suit back the second time, I guess the suit is finished, but the quality is absolutely terrible, and they would not give me partial refund for not finishing the suit on time (which was the sole reason I paid 500 dollars for this, if I didn't need it the next day, I wouldn't pay that much for sure). This place cannot deliver their promise and the quality of service is not acceptable, especially for this crazy price.

I bought 2 dresses at a sample sale at Kleinfield's, and both needed adjustments. One more so than the other. Sam took the original dress and essentially re-made into a different dress that fit my vision, which was not easy by any means. The dress didn't entirely fit as well and I was very nervous I made a mistake buying the dress. Sam is extremely detail-orientated, and wants everything for his clients to be perfect. He refused to fix one, did say he'd "fix" the other strapless one (that was still so large it actually fell down). When I came back, the dress was only fitted at the top but nothing had been done to the waist like we'd originally discussed. I decided it wasn't worth letting him try a third time. As for the third dress, I asked for it to be hemmed and was charged to hem the dress itself + 1 layer of lining. When I returned, the inner lining had not been shortened enough (or possibly at all) and was bunching up and showing all along the bottom of the dress. TLDR; none of the items I took to Perry Tailoring were done properly and all items needed to be taken elsewhere to be fixed. His pricing is inexpensive, but in the end I'm paying far more than I would have to have all of the items fixed.

So in the end, I paid extra for an alteration I didn't originally want, based on his recommendation, and it made the dress worse. Felix was the only one open and since I had a limited need of just getting my trousers hemmed decided to chance it. The places is tiny and looks crammed with orders. There is a very small fitting room, where you barely can fit in, but worked for me. Though it was past his closing time, the tailor offered to stay back as I only needed hemming which he completed in 15 minutes for three pants. For the price, service and results, good option
