This is a truly hidden (like, literally) gem in Milwaukee. Entrance is so hidden away in a dark,…read morecreamy street, that I wonder hours I found it in the first place. Don't expect anything. Just go if you're wanting a fun experience with puzzles and games and card games... and experience the life of a spy. I have been at different times of the week, but do find it most fun on the weekends when there are more people. It's more a fun experience than a dinner place. Food is ok, but not for the foodie. It's for the inner spy in you. Mission impossible Burger with potato chips Burger was nicely flavored, nothing crazy to rave about but still yummy. Furtive Fish fry Bit salty, and breading completely detached from the fish. But still a good crunch and the fish was very well seasoned. Broccolini salad good, nice complement to the fish fry SpyPA Told this was an IPA from Lakefront, but didn't really have the kick of an IPA. Would not get it again. So food, pretty safe. Experience - something you won't find anywhere else.

The fries were great and the thunderballs were simple but tasty. The tacos were okay, just a bit heavy on the guacamole for my taste. Overall, it's a place to go more for the experience.

Look, this is the truth. You will never have better wings than the wings they make at Club…read moreGaribaldi. You'll be minding your own business, relaxing at this fantastic joint. Having a cold beer, watching a game, getting banging service... and you'll watch them make you wings. You'll think "man that's a lot of work for wings" then you'll eat them... and angels will sing.

Instead of simply explaining the situation, the older bald bartender immediately started yelling at the two women in our group and clearly making a scene, demanding they come to the bar over something that could have been handled with a simple conversation. What made it especially weird and unwelcoming was how easily the situation could have been resolved with a simple explanation. If the women's restroom was closed, all he had to do was say that. Instead, he immediately escalated the situation by yelling and making a scene before even asking what was going on. He kept escalating the situation, acted rude the entire time, and insisted the women--who were clearly adults--show their IDs without even ordering a drink. It felt less like he was doing his job and more like he was looking for a confrontation. The whole interaction was unnecessarily hostile, unprofessional, and completely out of proportion to what actually happened. It left a terrible first impression and was enough to make us leave. There are plenty of other bars nearby where the staff knows how to treat customers with basic respect, and I'd recommend going to one of those instead.

We had a private dinner for Marcus hotels and resorts training in the dark room. It was a special…read moreexperience I would never trade for anything. The service was outstanding. The menu was 20/10, lots of options to choose from even with a large party and customized smaller menu you would find in a normal sit down restaurant. You enter The Dark Room from a bookcase next to the yellow neon GIGGLY sign on the second floor of the Saint Kate Hotel.

We had Omakase in the Dark room dining experience just yesterday, November, 19th, 2025. What I want…read moreto say. The food was nice, right enough for dinner. Staff was not prepared at all, actually telling people the guy who usually does speech did not come and they do not know what to say actually. For any alcohol you will buy you will pay in addition which is fine BUT the price for that drink(s) will be surprising you a lot. For 5 sake drinks the bill was around $370. Last two glasses were having less sake than first glasses we were provided, probably because people who already drunk something would not notice the difference. It's ok to have expensive alcohol pairing with high end dinner but in this case the sake was very regular. By the way, at bar 10 steps away from the Dark room (same hotel, same floor, same the floor area) the same sake did cost $23 for two glasses. Well... I understand people try to run business and earn money but everything should not cross some decency borders. These guys did cross the line in my opinion. Alcohol prices are not mentioned in Menu by the way. I do not recommend this place not only due to drinks pricing policy but due to "ok" food/service/price ratio

We just finished with our party of 12 for a Sunday Brunch…read more Amazing selection of breakfast foods and dinner foods. Most of our guests were from out of town and thoroughly enjoyed not only the selection but the quality. Excellent selection of breakfast items, fresh fruits and freshly cooked vegetables that were not soggy and gross. Good chicken, fish, prime rib and more. Of course a large selection of desserts too. Seniors are offered a discount which was a pleasant surprise. All in all a great experience!

Second time here in the last couple of months…read more Food: As much as I love the history of this place, the beautiful woods surrounding it, and the charm of the building, I have been very disappointed by the quality of the food. Unfortunately, this second dinner was even worse than the first. The rice was undercooked, the short ribs were dry, and the scallops were gritty. I realize that, for some people, the Buy One, Get One promotion is a big draw. However, I suspect that the menu prices are inflated to offset the BOGO savings, so it doesn't end up being much of an actual benefit. My wish is that they would focus on improving the quality and consistency of the food and charge prices that appropriately cover their costs while still allowing them to make a profit. I don't think we'll be coming back anytime soon, which is sad because there is so much to like about the location and atmosphere.
