My wife and I went to SLC to see some friends for my 30th birthday. We're from Florida, so while we were out west I wanted to explore a bit. We went to Uinta Recreation at the recommendation of the Park City Tourism office. We got a half-day rental of one of their side-by-side ATVs. We were a little late getting there in the morning, but their staff was super friendly and went back over all of the trail info with us (even though they had just finished walking the first group through it). They dropped off our vehicle at the trail head for us, walked us through it, and let us on our way. We started working our way up through the mountains and let me tell you... there were seriously the most scenic views I've ever seen in my life. Pretty breathtaking. The trail driving was a ton of fun, the weather was great (we went at the end of July...nice and comfortable at the high elevation), views were epic. Just had a great time all around. Was probably the highlight of my Utah trip. Going to try to come back in the winter sometime to give the snowmobiles a try! Thanks guys! read more

Absolutely loved working with Uintah Recreation. When I reserved the 3 snowmobiles they were very helpful on what kind of machine I should get for the ride that I wanted. The day we reserved the snowmobiles they geared us up with snow pants, coats, helmet, and goggles (very well priced). Then they sat us down and went over a few places we could travel on the mountain and gave us very clear instructions on where to go while riding. We were not able to get a truck to haul the snowmobiles to the trailhead so they pulled them up for us and unloaded them so that they were ready for us when we got there. The gentlemen that were there showed us everything about the machines, since it was our first time, and were very helpful in answering any questions we had. We did a full day rental on the 600 ski do summits (again very reasonably priced) and needless to say it was an amazing experience. I definitely recommend Uintah Recreation to anyone and will return to rent from them again. read more

We rented 2 4-wheelers and a 4 seater buggy. The people we dealt with were extremely kind and helpful. They met us at the shop and had our vehicles already loaded on the trailer. We followed them to the trail head, they unloaded and off we went. We had a low/no-speed roll over with one of the 4-wheelers and we're pretty nervous about how they would handle it. We were relieved when they were totally cool about it. We bent up the front fender and the front rack. He charged for the front fender and pro rated the rack. Dude was as cool as could be about it. The only thing I wasn't totally pleased with was the added costs. Know that the prices listed online is lower that what you will pay. The two 4-wheelers and 4 seater, for a full week day was just under $1000 dollars. Otherwise, great place! If your a local you get a discount. If you come into the store, you get another discount. read more

Adam, at Uinta Recreation was excellent to work with and was very efficient it getting me out on the trail. Paperwork was easy and quick to navigate through. Providing an inReach was an excellent safety precaution and is a very good business precaution. The UTV I rented was in excellent working condition, as was the trailer that came with the rental. Adam went above and beyond in working with me on the rental return. I used his equipment to complete some wildlife surveys for a company and had to say out a few hours longer to get my work finished up. Adam was awesome to work with and he really made the rental return easy and was amazingly fair on the charge for the extra long day. I highly recommend Adam, at Uinta Recreation for all your summer or winter rentals needs. I'll be using him in the future for all our company rental needs! read more

Hate feeling nickeled and dimed?! Go somewhere else. The process to get you out on the trail takes about an hour and so the half day... plan on 2 hours. In the 45 minute trail debrief they give you the whole break down- except the minor detail that you will be responsible for fuel. Here is why it's upsetting to me. Not knowing it upfront I never paid any attention to it... nor did the individual checking me in. The charge for gas was $7 so in reality it isn't that big of a deal compared to the $360 rental. It just left a bad taste in my mouth around how "chill" they were assigning you machines and checking you out. I could only imagine how difficult they would be if heaven forbid you got a flat tire or the machine broke down. It really is a shame because the overall experience was pretty good. read more

We just finished a 3 hour self guided snowmobile tour and it was absolutely fabulous. It was my first time on a snowmobile and I was nervous but the owner was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and informative. They even sent an email with perfect information to get you comfortable prior to going. He explained everything that we needed to know, we had emergency items, and we felt comfortable going out. Curtis shuttled us to and from the trail and he was one of the kindest and most personable people we met in Utah. We would most definitely recommend Uinta to anyone who would want to rent. It was hands down the best experience we had on our Utah trip, we will be coming back and bringing our kids. Thanks to everyone there for making this an unforgettable time. read more

We rented a side-by-side UTV for all day and they made it so convenient and quick to rent and get out on the trails. We signed our paperwork at the office, got our helmet and bandana (highly recommend especially if you're riding behind another UTV), and paid the little extra for the goggles which makes for a more enjoyable riding experience. Then followed them in our car out to the UTVs and they gave us a quick tutorial on how to operate it. Once we were done, we gave them a call about 15 minutes before we brought the UTV back to the staging area and they were there to meet us. Great service and very easy rental. We have rented from Uinta recreation several times and had great experiences. Yesterday my sisters family and ours rented a few ATVs. The check engine light showed up on one of them just after a few minutes into our day. We contacted the office right away and within 15 minutes we had a trade out. It wasn't exactly what we wanted but it did the purpose. It was a very busy Holiday weekend and they were able to squeeze a trade out for us. They even made sure that they took care of us in the end. This is our first visit to Utah...and our first time on UTV's. What a great time!! Uinta was VERY thorough in explaining the contract, the vehicles, the terrain, and what to do and not to do. The only problem we had was following the trail (correctly). We don't think the markers were there...or lacking at many intersections. HOWEVER, we were not trying to get to any particular place, so we went on various trails and had a blast!! The vehicles were clean and in great shape...although very dusty when we returned them!! Great for "kids" of ALL ages...although if you have young children, you might want to wait a few years. It's very dusty!! read more

We had a group of approximately 30 individuals renting from Uintah Recreation. A group that large can be a logistical nightmare. The guys at Uinta took excellent care of us-- they were flexible (and patient) as we made and changed reservations numerous times, they were helpful in teaching us how to use our machines, and they gave us a map with detailed instructions on suggested routes. In addition to the respectful staff, the machines were excellent and performed well. The terrain is absolutely amazing. Our group agreed that this outing was the highlight of our trip. my brother and I are avid atvers in Vermont. When we came to Utah and saw all the riding opportunities, we just had to go. Uinta recreation had the best review, so we gave them a call. They were awesome!!! They made all the paperwork easy and painless. they got us out to the trail head quickly which gave us more time to ride. We rented for the full day and it was worth every penny. Beautiful views and a good variety of terrain, made a fantastic experience for us. Machines were in great shape and we had no issues with them. Our party of twelve had an absolute blast on our snowboarding adventure! The check-in process was very easy but make sure you arrive 1.5 hours early, which they notify you of in your confirmation. Our guide, Laurent, gave great instructions and allowed us to stop multiple times through the trail to take pics and enjoy the scenery. Pictures do not do it justice, the view is absolutely breathtaking! Laurent was also full of cool info about the canyons and surrounding area. We enjoyed a mix of slow rolling through the trails and moving fast through the open fields. It was a blast! Definitely recommend! read more

Unita Recreation made renting a snowmobiling more convenient and easier than ever. They were able to suit us up with all the proper gear that we needed. David, the owner explained to us the trails and places to ride on a map. It was nice that we didn't have to be apart of another group or tour. We were able to do our own thing and go at our own pace for the day. Unita recreation is very fair in pricing, especially after you call other snowmobile rental places in the area. They all wanted to charge nearly double. There's no better place to rent a sled than Unita recreation, these guys are awesome!! read more

Loved working with these guys and would rent again from them. I rented 4 jet skis at a price that was much lower than the marina at Jordanelle. Yes I had to tow them. The machines were well used and they warned me that one machine was reported to be flakey and they didn't have time to fix it before I rented it. They offered me 25% if I was willing to take the risk and explained how to mitigate the risk. Ended up not having any issues with any of the machines and they all started easily and ran without issue. Also super convenient they are located behind a gas station to fill up afterwards. read more

My brother and I did the full day snowmobile rentals with Uinta and they were simply amazing. I woke up sick the morning of my rental and called last minute to change my reservation (this happened 2 days in a row). The owner said it's no problem to come the next day. The trails were absolutely unbelievable. We brought steaks and cooking stuff and pulled along the side of the trail and cooked some steaks. By far one of the best experiences of my life. Also, the snowmobiles are f'n awesome, fast, and dam near brand new. 10/10 would recommend and 10/10 would do this again. read more

These guys are great, they will really take care of you. After I made my reservation I was contacted my Michael for verification and again contacted the day prior to verify when I was going to pick the rentals up and if I required a trailer. On the day of my rental everything. Was ready to go when I got there. My brother and I had a great day, but ran out of gas 2 miles up the trail head. Michael cruzed up, fuel in hand saving the day. Absolutely amazing experience at Uinta Rec! We rented 3 ATVs for a Sunday morning family adventure drive through the park. When we arrived everything was ready to go, we got a deep overview of the area and what we should expect on both the travels and with the vehicles and were confident about hitting the trails. Everyone (we ranged in age from 25-61) had a great time and we will definitely be adding this on to our list of things to do in the area. Rented side by sides. Makes you go to some weird location where the owner gives you a half hour speech of what not to do, then once he finally finishes you need to drive 10 mins to another spot to pick them up. This all comes out of your rental time too. Then you need to drive the side by side an additional 10 mins to the mountain before you can finally have some fun. So almost an hour wasted. My side by side was rattling really bad and not in great condition. Would definitely find somewhere in midway next time. read more

Our company rented 18 snowmobiles for an enjoyable day of clean mountain air, beautiful snowy trails, and team building opportunities. We could not have been served better than we were by Uinta Recreation. A month out we had to change our scheduled date because of work conflicts. They accommodated us very graciously and willingly.
