Parking is available around the block and underground, very accessible by TTC. Inside is not very big, but I really like the high ceilings that gives off a more spacious look. There are bar stools available for you to sit and enjoy - but it is more of a to go kind of style. Staff were very nice, helped explain what they have on their drinks and orders were quick. Drinks They have a variety of drinks available and ingredients are all sourced from Taiwan. This popular Taiwan chain has a signature touch to it. I would recommend Golden Bubble Milk Tea - it has a very strong flavour to it and the golden bubbles were soft and chewy. They also have a new Yuzu drink series that's either a green tea or black tea based. Both were really good and it has a really good hint of yuzu that compliments well with both tea base. What I also love about this place is their merch - there's a cup sleeve holder that's very fashionable and useful anywhere you go. I love how it's so compact, so very easy to carry around. Nice to see another BBT spot in the neighbourhood - hope to come back next time to try their summer ice cream floats!

They will answer ANY of your questions and give you great recommendations.so dont be afraid to ask if you have any qs. As for drinks, i actually had them in Asia before, and i would say its pretty similar. Their tea base if def different from other bbt store, and the after taste from every sip definitely shows it (which some love but some hate), but i personally think its not bad. Vibe wise, they have no seats, so its more like a buy and go kinda BBT store. I would just recommend them to either have the menu on their wall or the screen, so people can decide what they want beforehand rather than right in front of the cashier. Does get a little like awkward, especially for really indecisive people or "I" peeps like me Overall 4/5! :)

I ordered no ice 70% sweet but it tastes like 30%, super water down. There's tea flavor but the tapioca wasn't nice. They are those that have a mushy outer layer as if they were overcooked or sit there for too long. Since it's right on yonge street along the narrowest stretch the parking situation is also challenging. I probably won't go again.

The mango chunks were good & flavourful (they were varied in texture & taste, so they were real fruit cut onsite) but the dragonfruit was relatively disintegrated. The mango flavour improved with time as the tea soaked & the ratio of mango chunks to tea increased. The cut lime had a nice edge.

Service is one person behind the counter but the drink was made pretty fast.

We tried the mango slush and strawberry slush. The drinks were offered at 30% sweet because it's known to be sweet. On trying the drinks it tastes like 100% sugar level no change at all. Strawberry slush just made with syrup only with ice no fruit nothing else. Mango slush so sweet had to stop drink before even reaching halfway. Didn't look anything like the advertised picture with lots of mango chunks rather sparse mango. The bill was $20 for 2 drinks for sugar and ice. Overall poor quality drinks all sugar. Would not return.

The matcha was so frothy and creamy! The Mango also added to its sweetness. This place is definitely in my top 3 matcha spots! You can find Barburu located in the foodcourt of Yuan Ming Supermarket! Tons of tables to sit at and there are other restaurants around it to check out as well.

Not sure if its the drink I picked (regular matcha latte), but it was bland. Some other reviews say its not too sweet, I think thats because its 90% water or milk. Barely any matcha flavour, but super expensive for what you get. I'd rather go for a matcha frapp from Starbucks with 1/10th of the wait time. Seems to be another example of a fancy looking coffee/matcha spot with mediocre drinks. Wont be back as there are many other options in the area Location is accessible with lots of parking as its inside a supermarket food court annex.

Opted for the Mango coconut matcha which I thought was just okay. The mango at the bottom definitely had some sort of weird aftertaste to it, kind of like artificial mango syrup.
