I come to Ulta for my Pattern products. Some locations have what I need in stock but not an the time. This particular location had every item I needed right away which is a score. That were busy this day and not a lot of staff waking around to eagerly help. Just rushing to get to the next task which is fine. I knew exactly what I needed and this product is usually in the back area. The line was long but moved at a decent pace. The cashier was nice and I got everything I needed without any issues. Like most Ulta locations, it's in a strip mall with other businesses. What I like least about this location is the parking lot is so hectic and chaotic. You can sit in 1 spot for a long time waiting to move. I would return but definitely not during peek hours. read more

I finally decided to walk in this franchise and see what the hype is all about. Walking in building is well lit and way bigger than i imagined . Staff friendly and welcoming and explained different areas of the store for me to explore. A make up artist, a hair salon, an online pick up area. Make up, perfume, hair accessories , supplies and equipment. Body scrubs, etc. inventory is very broad. Price's varies, samples and sales. Located in a strip mall, parking is plentiful and very busy. Stay alert as you're crossing the street . Will definitely check online to save time from browsing. read more

This store typically has their shelves stocked pretty good except for what I needed today they were out of. I have noticed that for their Red Carpet gel nail products they usually do not keep these stocked very well. I normally have to go online and order them. Usually there are sales associates always coming up to see if you need help. I think maybe today I was just there at a busy day or they were a littleshort staffed. If you shop her often, make sure you sign up with your email. You will often get emails with discounts and on your birthday you get to choose a gift. You also accumulate points per how much you spend and then you get discounts once you reach a certain level. For my birthday I chose the Opaplex Hair sampler. Manager Lynsey and her then had a problem with my account having my nickname, which is the same as my middle name. I have to say I like this Brentwood location because it is more diverse but I hate the parking situation over here. This location by far has a more extensive Proactive product line, carrying kits and individual items. They have a great selection of products from cosmetics, fragrances, styling tools and hair products. The employees are friendly and seek to assist when needed. I love the prices and consistant coupons. Also another tip, the coupons are ineligible for use on the right hand side of the store (the high end products). Also a huge plus for me is that you are able to try products and if they do not work, you can return them. My hair texture is constantly changing, so when I find my go to newest product my hair likes, once it changes and lets me know it no longer likes the product any more it's not a hassle to switch and try another product. I love their large selection of Shea Moisture products and mascara brands. Ulta is my go to over Sephora. read more

I've been to this store multiple times and I've even acquired their card to accumulate points with when making a purchase due to a very friendly cashier while I was checking out during one of my visits. It was actually a very strange day, considering I've always gotten consistently bad to almost mediocre service whenever I step inside this store. I've been to an Ulta in Schaumburg and that was a completely refreshing experience! Anyway, Ulta is a pretty neat concept for a beauty store because they carry some high end beauty products as well as those you can easily find at the drugstore. So whatever your fancy, chances are they might have it. They carry anything from make-ups to perfumes, hair products and random beauty accessories! It really can be a one-stop shop for a woman or man concerned with their personal grooming. The thing I probably like to oogle at when I come here are the shelves of travel-sized products. They are a great way to try something new and different without committing yourself to a product you might hate. And if you do end up loving it, you can always come back and buy a bigger one! Customer service is almost non-existent unfortunately. I've been here multiple times and no greetings when I come in during all of my visits. Yes, there were associates standing around by the door conversing amongst themselves. I once came in and looked around for a new foundation to try back when I was in-between foundation brands and got no help from anyone so I ended up going to Sephora instead. Ouch Jenny. I've been coming here for years. I purchased an in-store pick up for an orange shade of lipstick, the bag I picked up contained the wrong color, a shade of red that was too blue for my skin tone. I tried to return it, but since it was the wrong shade it didn't match the receipt - and she insisted that I didn't buy the lipstick there. Then she began to make suggestions that I did it intentionally. I JUST picked it up! Your person put the wrong color in the bag. I just wanted a swap of the color I ordered. Sadie (hopefully I got the name correct) showed me a variety of makeup options to chose from based on my budget and what I was looking for. I had never been to Ulta before, and she explained everything great. She spent a lot of time explaining the products to me and I didn't feel rushed. She had a very welcoming personality. The girl who matched my foundation was fantastic as well! (Sorry I forgot her name) She was patient with me since I had no idea what I was looking for. Hannah, the "arch expert", did a great job with my eyebrows. She gave good advice on what products I should use to fill them in. She double checked with me on how much to wax and what kind of shape I was going for. She was very welcoming as well. I will return again when I need any new makeup. I came in to see Mason in the salon today. He dedicated four hours of his time to fix the hair I had messed up. I had previously done DIY hair colorations, which I was trying to bleach out to blonde. I had done color stripping, bleach, toner, and it left it far more messed up and unattractive than I had started with. Mason was wonderful! Not only did he make my hair beautiful, he was caring and compassionate and funny. He kept offering me water, checking in on me to make sure I was doing alright through the process and never gave up on it. Thank you so much! read more

This review is for the Ulta Salon in the back of the store. I didn't have a spectacular experience here. For the price, I thought I was getting to a good salon and a reasonable stylist. I got a quote online when I made the appointment and the quote at the beginning of the appointment was $50 higher. A lightening agent was added so I thought that made sense. What didn't make sense is the end result looked nothing like the color I picked despite the stylist putting bleach for my highlights first. I can't even see the highlights. The hairstylist wasn't apologetic. She said the salon lights were the culprit but I can't see the highlights in direct sunlight either. The haircut was good but I won't be back. I have been to local/small business non-chain hairstylists who charge about the same and do a much better job with my hair. My advice to people with dark hair is to not come here for highlights. read more

Had been going to this salon for a few years. Noticed it started to look dirty and unprofessional. My last visit a few weeks ago was the last straw. The salon area was a mess, the floor was dirty and the surrounding counter areas were so dirty I didn't want to put my purse on the counter. Very surprising that the stylists appear lazy with their appearance as well. Would be nice if some of the ladies would pretend to do basic hygiene before coming to work. I had a last minute hair emergency prior to vacation and decided to give Ulta a chance to fix me up. I'm so pleased with my decision!! I made a same day appointment online for a color touch up and showed up to be greeted by Cody. He did a fantastic job correcting my color and making sure I was pleased... He toned my hair 3 times to get it the right shade of blonde. I was impressed by his persistence in getting me what I wanted, and he even styled it beautifully for me. It was so refreshing to actually leave feeling confident about what I just paid for instead of saying to myself "I'll give it a few days and decide..." I made a first time appointment for "Signature Hair Design" at The Salon. Online booking is easy and I was scheduled with Kevin. I checked in at my time, Kevin was notified over the intercom I was here and no one showed. After 20 minutes, I walked out and called from the car. I let them know for a $57 hair cut, I did expect to be somewhat on time, or at least acknowledged and told that he was running late. I made an appointment on a Friday afternoon for a Saturday morning Signature Hair Cut. I was nervous about seeing a new stylist for the first time, but all of my nerves were calmed the second I walked into this Ulta. Everyone was so nice and my stylist, Marisa, was incredible! She spent time initially looking through the pictures I provided of different styles that I liked and helped me talk through which ones would work for my normal hair routine and face shape. She took her time washing my hair and even worked in a great scalp massage. After the cut, she taught me how to dry and style my hair for the look that I was wanting to achieve. Afterward, she provided me with an estimate for some color that I was thinking of getting, and also walked me through the store to recommend the best products for my new style. When helping me pick products, Marisa wasn't just trying to sell me the most expensive item (and often recommended cheaper products), but really helped me figure out what would work for my individual hair. this has to be the creepiest ulta i've ever been to. the employees follow you around the store, staring. not talking, just staring. i didn't think this was real when my friend complained about it to me (i usually shop ulta.com online only), but my last visit confirmed her experience as well. i saw another shopping being followed by another employee as well. it was sort of dead when we were in there but i thought it was extra weird they didn't ask to help us. just... followed. i'll drive the extra 20 minutes out to chesterfield instead of being uncomfortable while shopping again or stick to online only. this was a few weeks ago, and i'll be encouraging my friend to leave a review here as well as asking anyone else i know if they experienced this weirdness at this particular store and if so, come here and tell you guys about it. seriously, just shop online. read more

I have visited this location a couple of times before and it was okay at least. But recently I went on a Sunday and received horrible service. I went in just to purchase a brow pencil, like I have done before. I went to the product brand Anastasia display to test some of the colors out. There were only a few tester pencils, so if you didn't wear that color you were out of luck. I proceeded to the cashier because she was the only person I could find. I explained the situation to her and she went on to tell me that I couldn't use one of the products and they didn't have any test pencils available. I don't know how things work in this store but it is no way that I would buy a product like this without being able to see what it would look like before hand (wrong color/ too dark or light) Finally any associate came and let me simply test the pencil and I was able to purchase.
