I went to ulta last week to try and find a new primer/foundation. I wasn't for sure on the color so I figured I could ask an associate for help. I asked if she could help me and she says 'WITH WHAT.' The third time was the charm for my haircut at Ulta. Unfortunately, I don't have time nor patience for having to go back twice before it's done well. Perhaps if one has coarse, curly hair, it would turn out ok. My hair is straight and fine, yet was being cut as if it were curly. That just doesn't work. A young lady named Meya cut it the first time, and curled it all over. I left the salon happy, until I arrived home and the curls had fallen out, exposing the jagged, extremely uneven haircut. Yikes. I immediately drove back to Ulta, but it was 7pm on a Saturday, and I was told I would have to wait until Tuesday morning to get a "cut correction" appointment with the salon manager, Shay. So, I waited a couple of days to get it fixed, determined to avoid taking out my scissors and attempting to cut off the long strands myself. Shay took quite a bit of time correcting the uneven cut; but since she did not wash nor even wet my hair, her cut was not even, either. She trimmed and trimmed; but I finally went home because I didn't want my hair to get any shorter. At home, I immediately washed my hair, and then it was evident that there were still several strands which were much longer in places than the rest; so I went back to Ulta again. I felt bad that Shay was in a meeting/conference call, and I appreciate that she left it to help me for a few more minutes with my hair. She cut off the offending long strands, and the hairdo finally started behaving as it should. Hooray! At least I should have a few weeks of fairly decent-looking hair while I find another salon. read more

Went today around 2 pm.to have a haircut my daughter spoke with Stacy that I have to book for appointment!They booked the appt at 6:15pm with Selena , when the time we arrive the lady at the salon says that Selena has no time for us due to busy for other client ! It's ridiculois ! This people has no manner not professional at all ! At Least call me if they can't take my daughter to have a hair since she's busy other client ! People there so rude! I buy a make up and I have a coupon the lady Michelle says that it's not count my coupon because the brand I bought for make up has no discount ! If I could give this location 0 stars, I would. Came in to see if I could finally give translucent powder to give "baking" a try. I needed some new foundation & other products. I was asked if I needed help when I first walked in(which was great) but after telling the curly haired lady that I need foundation & I know we can't try it out here but I still needed help matching it, she said their return policy is great so if I buy something that doesn't work I can only return it then walked away.. so I went around looking for things but had no idea where to even start. I finally went to ask someone else for help. She was new & claimed she was only posted for the benefit area & products so she didn't know much. She went to go ask the same curly haired lady for help & I watched her question if the other(NEW) employee knew where to find the things that I was looking for & directed her where to go & then walked away again. You could tell that this newer employee needed direction & to be told about their products & although I appreciate her trying to help me, the other woman should've taken us both to teach her employee & to help me with finding products. Only come here if you want horrible service & already know what products that you're looking for. Come to find out the lady that wouldn't help me is a supervisor. So unprofessional. read more

I come here a lot, practically every time I run out of my mascara or foundation. However if there were a different make up store near me I probably would have stopped coming here. The girls working are not very friendly but I feel that they are more friendly to customers that seem to be slightly older than me. But I'm 18 and a waitress and I make decent money so I still can't figure out why this could be. I also have a card with them that I supposedly get points on for buying make up but I've spent hundreds of dollars there and still have not received anything for the points I should have earned by now where as at Sephora I've earned multiple beauty products of my choosing for shopping with them. But the worst thing is that the last time I was there a lady shopping there seemed to be following me around everywhere and was really close in my personal space she seemed to want to look at everything I wanted to look at and it really just creeped me out I don't know if it was a secret shopper or just another customer but I ended up leaving empty handed frustrated by the woman who remained within 3 feet of me for my entire visit. However, the positive about this place is that whatever I need always seems to be in stock in my color and the entire store is very clean and organized by brand, making it very easy to get in and get out with what you needed and the location is very convenient for me. read more

This is the worst Ulta store in DFW. No attempt made to greet anyone coming into the store. Came in to make a purchase and had a GWP coupon (Gift with Purchase). No limit, any purchase and receive an item free. This is the third time lately I have received one of these through my email and came in the day I receive it and they are either out of the product, don't carry it or can't find it!!!! Really!!! This is not my problem Ulta!!. I watched the young girl look through all the cabinets and boxes and never found the free product. Her conclusion was I guess we don't have any I can't find it......WHAT! Never called the manager to inquire. I told her this was the third time this has happened and she needed to give me something else to replace the item. "Oh we are not allowed to do that", again no call to the manager or anyone else for assistance. I'm so tired of this place.....it really sucks! The Carrollton location has gone down so much in the last couple years. The staff are always behind the counter pandering with each other and don't have time for the customers who keep that place open!! Don't shop at this location, I'm shocked this place is still open. read more

They do not quality check their shipments. I only received 40% of what I ordered. They sent me confirmation of my order and shipment tracking saying that all items were in the shipment. When I called, they said they would send all of the items that I bought EXECPT for the item that was no longer on promotion and that I would have to pay full price for it if I wanted it. After I PAID for it and THEY didn't ship it. Customer service management was monotone and seemed uncaring with a no problem solving attitude. I'm going back to shopping at Sephora and will not shop with Ulta again. read more

Not usually one to write reviews but I walk in and no one greeted me which is fine. Then I kinda walk around, still nothing then I literally walk up to someone that works there and another employee walks up to her at the same time and instead of greeting me they keep talking and walk away. All I wanted to do was try a different makeup and ask for her opinion. I am most definitely never coming back to this location. So disappointed, I was happy when I walked in and came out pissed off lol now I'm going to try a different location. Wish me luck! read more

I've been coming to this location on a regular basis for close to a year and customer service has always been lacking. If you ask for help at the makeup bar they tell you it's self service. Finding anyone who wants to help or answer questions is nearly impossible. It's like they hide when you enter the store. I was on my way to check out and stopped to look at some of the NYX products and the cashier comes over, starts spraying a cleaning product on the display and acted like I was in her way. I go to this location only because it's convenient and I know not to go and ask for help with anything. I get what I need and get out. They need retraining and better management. It's a shame because it is so convenient. read more

I always have the best service here. I live in The Colony and I usually go to the location in The Colony (considered Lewisville) but after an interview at that location with the manager, she's been so rude. So I have made several trips to this location and they are way better. It's not as much traffic which is a lot better. They have way more product is stock than that location. I typically will shop at the Ulta in Carrollton or in Frisco. The prestige advisors were super sweet to me complimenting me on my hair color and how pretty I was. And the cashier was super sweet too. I love this location a lot better. The Colony location could take some notes. Love, love, love this location. read more

I went to Ulta to purchase the daily special. Even though I arrived early they you were sold out and guess what? So were all of the other stores per a sales rep. So I took by list and went to Sephora where you are not tricked into going to a store. read more

Worst Ulta store in DFW. They make their customers feel like they've been spit on. Will never go back. Outrageously poor customer service. Absolute incompetence, deliberately demonstrating the greatest apathy possible toward a long line of customers. One cashier. Blonde lady, short hair, heavy set. Have to describe her because her boss needs to read this and fire her. She was the only cashier for a long line of customers. Almost 10 minutes go by, she finally calls out to another employee to come over, but only tells that employee to start calling names on a list because they need someone to come in to close for the night. She walks away from the register to go and show her what names to call. No acknowledgement toward all of us that are waiting in line. Did they open another register? No. Did they apologize even once to everyone who's been waiting all this time? Not to a single person. Did they thank everyone for their patience? Not even once. When you finally get waited on they take your money and hand you your receipt and say "there you go". The most pathetic lack of customer service I've ever seen. Inexcusable. Don't shop here. read more
