1 wish I had better things to say. I've had a recent experiences at this location that have made me close out my Ulta credit card and move on to the other major retailer. The first was a salon appointment, scheduled for a trim and deep condition treatment. I utilized the description of the services to book online since I was new to the area and did not have a permanent salon yet. When I walked in, checked in, and took my seat to wait, I heard the assigned stylist talk terribly about the appointment I selected to her coworkers. I have no doubt other customers could hear it. When she pulled me for my appointment, she informed I scheduled the wrong type of appointment and told me I did not want that treatment then decided which new treatment I wanted. She decided for me what I wanted done to my hair. During the treatment and my trim, I attempted to make small talk, but was given one word answers or ignored. My second appointment was a last minute eyebrow appointment since my new salon was closed. I was seen promptly, but walked away with my eyebrows looking far from sisters or twins. Luckily, I wear glasses that covers the total difference in them, but I cannot even freehand the uneven section on one eyebrow because it is so bad. I will say, the male that works in the Clinique section is super kind and helpful. That might be the only good thing about this store. read more

Most sought after items are out of stock, but Hamilton Place has them so the argument that the area is just crazy busy doesn't make sense. Staff are friendly for the most part. I had an appointment at the Brow Bar and was so disappointed. The lamination was poorly done and the employee seemed to be put out while doing the service. read more

I was buying something for my mother. When I was checking out the cashier went full on ballistic because I didn't want to give out my phone number. I mean she took it personally and got very rude and angry. It was if she was going to be fired if she didn't get my number. Just the basic Ulta. Nothing special to it. Went in and left with what I came for. No one tried to sell me anything extra, sign me up for anything, talk to me about any deals. A simple quiet shopping trip, easy checkout. Store was relatively clean, organized. Things were easy to find, I didn't have to circle a million times to find something or dig through piles. I came in last weekend looking for an item and it was out of stock and I was told to come back Thursday and they'd have it. I go back Thursday and it's not there and told to come back tomorrow. I shouldn't have to chase my tail for a product. I decided to order it curbside to make it easier after the frustration I've had. the website glitches and adds a pending charge on my card but Ulta has no record of my order so they say they can put the item on hold for me behind the desk and I can come buy it. I go in a few hours later on my lunch break to purchase item and it's not up there. I wait 10 minutes for them to bring up my item. Nothing about this process was convenient and the cashier stood on her phone while waiting which was unprofessional. read more

I love ulta salon, I don't get my hair done very often I'm always nervous about it, but I've been two times so far and have seen Flor she's amazing she can color you're hair exactly like you want it or from a picture and it looks perfect, Flor is also very friendly and sweet and takes her time with you, she doesn't rush you, I will continue to come to ulta just so Flor can take care of me!! Beautiful and large well lit store. They offer salon services. All men are welcome for salon services and they also have a men's selection. I say this because it is definitely a ladies domain. The store was clean and the girls on the floor were amazing!!! I would give this store 5 stars but at the register Dulce had an attitude and tossed my eyeliners across the counter. I'm sure she was having a bad day or something but maybe she shouldn't take it out on other people. I was being friendly and I asked her opinion on if the nyx or color pop liners were better. Then I was trying to exchange an unopened smash box foundation for my right shade because I grabbed the wrong one shade last time. She said I couldn't exchange it because I didn't have a receipt. But i was exchanging it not returning it so I didn't realize that would be a problem. (I've never had that issue before and when I worked at Ulta in Cali and Washington state we could exchange products without receipt but couldn't give cash back or return it.) I went to Hamilton place to exchange the foundation there. Dulce tossed my eyeliners I bought across the counter when I said I didn't need a bag after opening the foundation box in front of me to make sure it wasn't opened. Maybe it's an east coast thing or something but west coast Ulta's ask if you want a bag or not. I didn't mean to ruin her day by saying I didn't want a bag. After that I will never go back to the north gate Tennessee Ulta it isn't worth it and I will recommend the Hamilton place location to my friends and family. read more

My cousin booked a hair appointment and was given a price. She arrived for appointment on time. The stylist told her it would be more money than what was written on her appointment card. A lot more. After 40 minutes of talking about what would be done by the stylist she decided that she didn't want to do her hair and that there wasn't enough time to do it. The management and stylist was very unreasonable. My cousin offered to style her own hair if they would just color it as promised on her appointment. I personally will not give them anymore of my business. Poor customer service. My cousin was in tears. Horrible treatment by the salon manager and stylist. read more

Not only is she great at color, she is an excellent stylist!!! I have curly hair and it's not always easy to find someone good with my hair. The management does not care about customers. They do not do their due diligence to ensure that any promotions or offers are removed from the floor in the event that a promotion ends. They do not honor the promotion despite the fact that they neglected to honor an advertised special. Neither the store clerk nor the manager attempted to honor the advertisement and the manager even seemed put out by my complaint. Ill stick with clinique inside belk from now on. I was told one sale price by a associate who even helped me pick out some items on sale. When i went to check out multiple items came up full price. I told her the girl had told me it was bogo. Well one thing was and the other was b1g a free travel size. Instead of the cashier andrea asking the girl if she told me this after telling her REPEATEDLY she went and looked herself without talking to the girl. I just had her remove the items that were regular $23 supposedly on sale for $11.50 bc i was agitated and holding up the line by this point. I went back and talked to the assoxiate who told me and she even said she told me wrong.. well andrea told her manager(bc i called once i got home) that it was a MISCOMMUNICATION. umm no it WASNT. I repeated myself multiple times and even told her usually if a associate gives a wrong price they honor the price. I litterally stayed longer just for picking this stuff and talking to the associate bc she recommended it. Either way if that was a MISCOMMUNICATION.. you need a new associates.
