I bought a Benefit skincare product from this Ulta. I was very disappointed when I tried to use it, watery fluid came gushing out of the tube indicating that the product had separated. I'm not sure what was wrong with the product but usually that indicates that it is old. I wonder if the store keeps track of how old the products are and pull products off the shelves after a certain date. It was inconvenient for me to have to go back and return it. read more

Do not go to Lauren at the Brow Bar! She removed too much of one of my brows - didn't even draw the shape beforehand and ask me if that was what I wanted. I also had requested that she leave as much under the arch and at the tail, and she waxed and tweezed off all the little hairs I wanted to keep. I went in there to purchase some makeup over the weekend and saw that for Breast cancer awareness, they were doing haircuts & mini facials for $10 donations. I needed a trim anyway, so I figured I would give it a shot, while also donating to a good cause! The women at the ulta salon were so friendly and accommodating. The salon manager, Maria, gave me a great trim and she is such a wonderful lady! I will definitely be coming back to get my cuts at this salon. Don't get me wrong, I love Ulta. I think it has such a wide range of products, it is a one-stop shop for all of my beauty products. However, I have 2 major problems with this specific Ulta store. 1. RESTOCKING?? EVER HEARD OF IT?? I will be looking for something specific, and it will be out of stock. I will return to the store once a week looking for it, and it will take multiple weeks to get replaced. I have never been so frustrated and let down. How could a big time store like Ulta not restock an item for weeks and weeks?? Ridiculous. 2. EMPLOYEES HAVE NO TIME FOR YOU/ HAVE ROCKS FOR BRAINS. This Ulta has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have walked around the store for 30 minutes with an Ulta catalog in hand, obviously searching for something specific (which I could point to). Not once did one of the girls working on the floor offer to help me find something, or give any assistance at all. The two employees who were on the floor were spending way too much time matching up someones makeup tones. It is great they help some people - but they completely ignore everyone else when they do. And often, 3 or 4 employees will be chatting and surrounding the same customer, ignoring all the other ones entirely. It is so frustrating, as when buying makeup it is always great to consult an "expert." (However, sometimes I doubt these girls know anything about makeup anyways). When I would build up the courage to interrupt the 20 minute long chit chat between multiple employees and a single customer, I get basically ignored, and sent to the registers to ask someone else the question. She goes back to chit chat. These situations happen every time I shop. And that is fairly often. It is a definite trend, I always leave the store frustrated. Employees wont even say "is there anything I can help you find" ... nothing. My last thing to add to this, is that the lack of respect and customer service, and lack of restocking products, is so insulting to customers like me who spend HUNDREDS to thousands of dollars at Ulta. I am in my 20's, and it's like I don't exist to them when Im there. Little do they realize I am there to spend a lot of money. On Valentine's day I was a bridesmaid and got both my hair and make up done. Best experience I've ever had at a salon in my life. Katherine did an amazing job with my make up! I never looked more beautiful. I still continue to go to Katherine for my hair every couple months. She does an outstanding job and is always super nice. I've finally found a hair salon I absolutely love! She has helped so much regarding products for my hair type and simple tips. What a nice group of associates at this location. Every time I have gone in I have always been greeted and everyone has been friendly and helpful. I wanted to especially point out my experience last night with Lindsey! My daughter and I went in to purchase a few items and Lindsey came over to see if we needed help. She was extremely knowledgeable about various brands and how they should be applied. She color matched both of us and was never trying to over sell us on product. She has great energy and you could tell that she loved what she does. Well needless to say, $350 later, the two of us walked out very happy. We honestly needed everything we purchased and Lindsey was a delightful! She even found me the perfect lip color that I had been looking for. Great job in this location! read more

Went to the salon for their cut/color/style special. I read the small print prior to going, so expected to pay $15 more for permanent color. I asked the stylist, Stacy, to color my hair the same color that was in it (gray roots were growing out) and suggested she look at my eyebrows to see my natural color. She mixed the color and told me there was an additional $10 charge because I have thick hair (so now my $60 promo price was up to $85, my hair was about shoulder length). All of that really wouldn't have bothered me so much if the cut/color was what I asked for. I do have thick, curly hair, so told her I wear it parted on the side and asked her to layer it. She replied that she always cuts from the middle and proceeded to do so. I also left the salon with almost black hair when I asked for a match, which is medium to dark brown. By far the worst color experience I've had, could have done a better job myself and saved a lot of money. read more

Would not recommend going here to get your hair done, at all! The woman was so rude. I showed her a picture of what I wanted to do to my hair and she refused to do it because it would take her too long! She said initially it would only take 2 hours, and then she said at least 3. Even though they had told me over the phone when I had made the appointment that they could do it, no problem, she told me I had to reschedule for another day. I wouldn't leave work early again to go back there! 1 star at best. read more

I went to Ulta to have my hair colored. I booked an appointment on the spur of the minute because the store/salon is located pretty close to my home. There was a glitch with the online appointment, but they graciously accomodated me anyway. I have to say - I have always been a fan of Ulta for cosmetics. The staff is friendly and helpful and they have a great return policy. I am now impressed with the salon. A wonderful senior colorist/manager - Maria - took care of me. We consulted about what I was looking for, and I had booked the wrong service. She quickly understood what I wanted and explained the service/cost, factored in a discount that was to my advantage and quickly got to work. She was quick, and did not spend a lot of time agonizing of what "shades" I wanted. The end result: I LOVE MY COLOR!!!! I haven't been happy for awhile with how my color has been turning out at other places, so I was amazed that she was able to do just what I wanted and that my hair looked so good. Maria has a lot of experience, and it shows. She's very competent and can chat and do her job - well. She was a complete find/pleasure and I will definitely go back. Lots of selection for every beauty product you could want. Makeup is always expensive so you can't say anything about that, however they do have a small bargain section. Staff is very friendly and nice. They will answer any questions you have and will even show you how to put things on if you have questions about application. read more

Had my haircut at this location 3/5/16, the staff was very friendly however my hair cut was a HUGE disappointment for how much I paid. It's like the hairstylist completely ignored what I wanted and cut 5 inches off my hair. I can not even look in a mirror without crying. I will definitely not be returning to this location for a haircut. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. Empty boxes everywhere and then the awful salespeople will falsely accuse you of trying the product or stealing. I am reviewing for the hair salon at Ulta - Foxboro. I had never colored my hair before but since I just graduated from college in May, I figured "new phase of life, new hair." I decided to go with sombre in a caramel color and choose to go to Ulta because I had a 30% coupon. I had never gotten my hair cut there before and I booked an appointment with Sam. I lucked out, I had a great experience! I told Sam I was nervous and she put me right at ease. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she knew just what to do. She was very reassuring and really seemed to know her stuff; she's been a stylist for 15 years, which made me feel very confident in her work. I walked away loving my new color and feeling fabulous! The prices were reasonable as well, I paid just what I was expecting to. Yeah, you're getting your hair cut in an Ulta, but it's very worth it! read more

I am new to the area And went in to their salon for a haircut and color. I read some review before I made the appointment, and tried to avoided the stylist that someone had bad experience with. The appointment making was fairly fast on the phone than their website. I went with Simone, she seemed very new and my whole experience left me a bit upsetting. Start from the wash, she was not gentle at all, too rough for me, and got my back all wet, I could feel my shirt sticking to my back. And the hot water, I would test it on my own hand before pointing to my customer's scalp. I asked for a simple one tone color and the result turned out a bit red than I wanted, but I could live with it. The cut was not what I wanted at all, she chopped so much layer, that does not even look natural, more like straight cut in different spot of my hair? When she was styling, other stylist pick on something she did wrong at the back station I guess, and she got a bit upset and started blowing my hair all over my face, the heat from hair dryer repeatedly pointed to my ear and side of my face that I had to remind her it is pretty hot .i don't think She should take her anger out from her customer, big mistake. At the end the price I payed is 25 dollar more than what she told me in the beginning due to some add on services? Be ware of that, I would go to a senior stylist next time if I had to go, and would love to see others review if you have had a pleasant experience at this salon. I went to get a makeup application on Saturday 8/13 because I was attending a wedding. My appointment was with Taylor. She never asked me what I normally wear for makeup or discussed any ideas she may have had. She started off by putting scotch tape on my face so she could get a "nice crisp line" for my eyeshadow....you should NOT be doing makeup for clients if you need to tape their face! She never once asked me if I wanted bold makeup, subtle or what all she said was do you want a little navy to match your dress but I never expected to look like a snapchat filter at the end. She not once asked throughout the process what I thought of it and in the end had a white face with bright pink cheek bones and bright blue eye shadow that was not even on both sides! I seriously was a snapchat filter. I hated it and just wanted to get out of the store as soon as possible and grab my makeup remover. I instantly took all of the makeup off and did it myself. I'm sure Ulta has some good makeup artists but do not go see Taylor unless it's for Halloween makeup. Upset that I had to pay $48 for a waste of my time and added stress to the day! read more
