Excels in all services. I've been coming here for awhile now to get my hair cut by Brian. He does an excellent job. I get my hair cut on a recurring schedule, but because of Brian it's something I always look forward to, given that I always leave both looking, and feeling amazing. Tiger Lily's services don't end there though. I've also been for a couples massage, which I would highly recommend. Based off the service I have received, I can only assume the best of quality for their other offerings. I had a great experience with Lynne and a high quality oxygenating facial. She really helped my congested skin and worked well with any allergies and sensitive skin concerns that I had. I came here for a spa day with a girlfriend. Massage with Kristine was great, facial with Marissa (I'm 99% sure that was her name) was amazing, best facial I've ever had. The chicken Cesar salad they include in the sego Lilly package was delicious. The pedicure was awful and I was very disappointed with it. Tigerlilly is one of those places that comes along once in a century. The staff is fun and friendly, they seem more close knit than most places these days. I have been going to Crystal (the owner) for a while now. The whole time she's cutting my hair, we're laughing and joking and having a great time. At a lot of places, this would result in a sacrifice of quality - with Crystal, there is never inconsistency. She is ALWAYS at the top of her game, and it shows with how great i look and feel when i leave. Highly recommended! read more

Went here in August for an updo the girl did a great job so I scheduled to come back to her for a cut and foil. When I arrived they gave me a different girl. No one explained why so I thought let me give her a shot. THE BIGGEST MISTAKE! She cut my hair wrong and the foil was thicker in some spots more than others and blotchy. When she styled it my hair was frizzy and still damp. She looked at me and said "TaDa!" I was furious. The owner tried to fix it and I was there from 1pm until after close 7pm. She still charged me and thought giving me a free bottle of frizz cream would do it! Not cool! I got home and my husband said "What happened to your hair?" worst experience ever! The girl ended up telling me she was new and it was her 3 time doing a foil! They should've let a more experienced stylist do a full foil on long hair. read more

Their prices are very reasonable and you get great service. Everyone here is very nice and they have alot to offer. Their facility is very nice too. My normal stylist was out of town and I really needed a trim before an event, so I booked a simple hair cut at the last minute based on all the good reviews. I was so disappointed because the girl barely cut anything at all and didn't reshape my layers. I don't even know what I paid for. She seemed very young and inexperienced. Went for a wax and it was the worst experience I've ever had. It was so bad that I had to make a yelp account to say how bad it was. It was so painful that I almost wanted to cry. When I got home I saw so many little patches of hair that was left over. Did I mention yet that I asked for full leg, but apparently thighs don't count as part of the leg???? She also did not wear gloves, which any professional is supposed to do. If I didn't have other experiences telling me it isn't always this horrible, I would never get a wax ever again. read more

I've been getting my haircut on Newbury since I was 12 years old. With my work schedule I hardly have a day off, let alone a free second to think about getting a haircut. I came here because some one I know cuts hair here and was highly recommended to me by a few of my colleagues. Long story short, this place is small but does a great job. I have been going to Ashley at to Tigerlilly for the past few years for facials and eyebrow waxing. I moved from 2 mins away from the salon to 40 mins away, but I still will only go to her when I need something done. She is professional, friendly, honest, and very good at every aspect of her job. She recently did my spray tan and makeup for my wedding. Ashley knows how crazy I am about my skin getting red but my makeup was PERFECT- everything stayed put until 3 am. She impressed my sister who's getting married next year and my cosmetologist girlfriends who were with us getting ready that day and they all want to use her in the future. I have heard nothing but good things about this spa and I decided to finally check it out! I saw one of the estheticians , although nice, she looked as if she rolled out of bed and kept speaking of how tired she was and how she didn't get any sleep the night before she kept mumbling and speaking as if she was sick. . I feel a spa enviroment should be smelling good and this spa smells of cigarettes and my esthetician while performing the facials hair and hands smelled of cigarettes and I feel this is not a good canvas for a spa enviroment and a professional in skin care should certainly not smell of smoke. how can i take her seriously if she is giving herself these chemicals that RUIN the skin. the salon seemed quiet but pleasant however, the girl in the back part of the room was swearing constantly with one of her clients. AGAIN, another reason why i won't be returning. any ol salon with a facial room on the side, comes a dime a dozen. A day spa, needs to give off that ambiance and I did NOT receive this when I was at Tigerlilly. it was hot in there, the nice girl who offered me coffee was nice. I like how the coffee station is right there for anyone to have a nice beverage. I see that this spa tries to be a day spa however, no shower for after my service that i find in most day spas was unpleasant as well. read more

my mom and I went for manicures, had a scheduled appointment for a particular manicure package. we arrived 5minutes early, and proceeded to sit in the waiting room for a half hour. we were just about ready to leave when they finally came to get us. the tech's were terrible, the entire experience was bad. zero help in color selection (my mom asked for a 'nude'.. the tech kept pushing a sparkly color, though it was made very clear that sparkly was not an option.) I went with a shellac.. which I have had many times before. not one step was performed correctly, and not even 2 days later, it lifted on every nail and peeled completely off. nail shaping was terrible, the conversation was bad, the "complimentary" parafen was - which was offered due to their being so late - wasn't actually complimentary! for $75, we both expected much, much better service and outcome. will not be recommending this facility, or returning. read more
