I try to keep visiting different locations in the metro area as I am on an experimenting process of trying products I don't normally get and to see if my customer experience is radically different from any other location. Nothing new to report as far as that goes on that front. Customer service was good and no complaints. The product I purchased was a deodorant called Milk & Honey. The deodorant was extra strength and hasn't disappointed in any kind of failure in protection there. The fragrance I purchased was Lemon and Vanilla which is subtle and pleasant. Good, quality deodorant and the plastic applicator works just fine versus my last experience with an Ulta store which really had nothing to do with the store but a different brand of deodorant with a tedious and dysfunctional applicator. read more

I've been coming to this Ulta salon location for a few visits now. Kat is a great stylist, very communicative and comfortable. She always ensures I get what I want with my hair. I prefer Ulta over any other store to get makeup. There is always a wide variety and range of skincare and makeup products, tools and accessories. Full scale price range from drug store affordable to high end costly. The only thing I wish was that this location had was the tools and products that they offer in the salon. There are a few brushes they use on my hair that I love but I can't find in store at Ulta. Make sure you check out the clearance isle, too. They have a great selection of discounted last chance items! read more

She is very thorough and gives you a preview of what your brow will look like before she even starts putting the tint! She is very friendly & authentic. Totally much better service than the brow services in Ulta in Silverdale. When I had a question about my brow shape, she assured me that if I have an issue with it to call her back & she will fix it at no cost! This place is always a nightmare. From half empty shelves to finding someone for assistance. I had placed a simple order online for pickup. (To save time... hahaha.) When I went in this afternoon to pick up my order, there was a checkout line that wound around the impulse-buy kiosk, with only one associate working the registers. As always happens, there was a customer at the checkout having some difficulty with a transaction. Then another associate was called. Then a third. All three associates were trying to figure out what the issue was with the particular transaction in question. In the meantime, the checkout line got longer and no other associates came to help with the growing line, while I continued to stand in the order pick-up area, alone and seemingly unnoticed. I finally just left without my items. There always seems to be a lack of staffing in this location, every time I visit. Thankful for the new mini Ulta in Target. There is much better assistance there. read more

Hannah at the Gig Harbor Ulta is one of the kindest, most sincere and helpful beauty specialists I have ever met. She is knowledgeable about every product line and knows how to find what I need every time I step into the store. She has found me products that I am in love with over and over. She has re-directed me to better options at times, cheaper products when they are similar quality and shades of colors that suite my skin and eye coloring that surprise me. I am just over 50 so she also keeps me young looking while still sophisticated and age appropriate. Lastly, she is patient and very present. EDIT: I think her name was Kendall! But serious huge amounts of appreciation towards her, for the first time in my entire life after nearly 9 different foundations. She color matched me perfectly down to my undertones. I have the best tinted moisturizer that doesn't make me look cakey and covers my acne scars. im seriously so happy with her help today. I went in to look for a new foundation since I'm trying to cover up some spots. I walked in and asked the lady with purple hair for some color matching help. I totally forgot to check her name tag to give a specific name, but she has flawless makeup, purple hair and beautiful earrings. She was incredibly nice and helped me throughout the entire journey on finding a good foundation. Made it very easy for me to get what I needed and to leave the store. I've been to this store many times. To shop and also to the salon. The store is pretty good it has a nice selection of products. But the staff isn't always nice and their bathrooms are DISGUSTING! Always dirty and most of the time out of TP and soap. I've seen people come out of them and tell staff about the situations in there and they just say OK and ignore it. It's crazy. read more

This was the cleanest and most well stocked Ulta I have been to since moving to Washington 2 yrs ago. And the icing on top was that there were so many associates there who were so very friendly and helpful. I've always appreciated this place. I love the staff, they are ALL the sweetest, from the cashiers, to the associates, to the stylists! I love all the stylists, and I highly recommend any of these wonderful Stylists! I only go to one, but all the other ladies are phenomenal as well. They love chatting with you, and are just amazingly friendly. I always love that when I get either just a small trim or a drastic new look, a few of the others will come over and compliment my stylist, and my hair. For a normal haircut I am charged $57, but to give a kind tip, at least 20%. I like to round up to 70 because it might be a lot for once a month, but I appreciate it so so much. I ALWAYS get just what I wanted, even when I didn't actually know what I was doing. I will always love this store. I wish I could do something for all the stylists, such as bring in donuts or coffee or something, because while I really love my stylist, the others are so amazing as well. read more

I couldn't find what I was looking for initially, but I was helped by one of their associates named Jenna who was extremely helpful and just all around pleasant to talk to. I was excited to go shopping at the new store in Gig Harbor. I went there looking for eye shadow . The shop assistant was very knowledgeable and was making my experience in the shop very pleasant UNTIL after I picked the product that I wanted. She asked me if was ready to cash out and I told her I wanted to see what else is in the store. She blankly warmed me about removing the anti theft magnet from the product as the alarm will go off. I came to see Laurie for hair services at The Salon for a FULL color and accent highlighting, but she ended up giving me a root touch up only and the highlights are not even noticeable. I showed her pictures of exactly how I wanted it and expressed I wanted my grays fully covered. She only retouched my roots, not my full hair. I can still see my gray hair. And the highlights are basically the same color as my original hair color and she didn't even use a toner that's included in the price! She told me they would lighten over time, but the point was to have it done now, not over time. My go to stylist had cancelled today due to sickness so I decided to go with Laurie even though her prices were higher, but given her "elite stylist" title I thought it shouldn't be bad. Worst hair stylist I've had! I hate that I spent so much for basically a root touch up! I will never come back here again. This just ruined my faith in Ulta hair services. read more

I booked an appointment to get my hair done this afternoon. After arriving and sitting down the hair stylist said " my hair was too messed up." "And there's not really fixing it." She was not eager to help me and my hair was not messed up. It currently has a balayage I was just looking to go a little lighter to hopefully go to blond as soon as I can. I left with nothing done to my hair and upset because she really seemed like she didn't want to do it. I'm definitely not the person to put in reviews but am upset that she wouldn't even try and help me. Their beauty consultants and over all their customer service is really great there. I recently had a very amazing transformation with stylist Shirley. Experienced covid hair loss and she picked the perfect cut & color! Very difficult to find someone who's great at both. Shirley nailed it I didn't know but her specialty is blond hair coloring. I seriously doubt I would have recieved the same outcome elsewhere. read more
