Aimee did my hair and she did a fantastic job! I am getting married and wanted to get hair extensions for the first time. We added colored extensions in that blended nicely with my fine hair. Best part is there was no damage to my natural hair from lightening. The staff are all friendly. The facility it clean and precautions are being maintained during this pandemic. I will be back!

After having known the owner of Rise Salon Aimee LaFave for many years through the salon I went to, I was referred to her by my longtime stylist that was retiring. She believed Aimee could help me go from professionally demi-permanent black colored hair to blonde balayage. Definitely not an easy or cheap process which I completely understood and was prepared for. I was happy to support Aimees new business and trusted she would do a great job and I believed she knew what she was doing. But, to my surprise (as well as my old stylist) Aimees lack of education and apparently experience, my hair was ruined by the third visit. I spent over $850 to have this process done and was very patient and happy with the first two visits with her. I trusted the process. However, the third visit my hair came out darker, had intense red banding and bleed bleach marks throughout, which she did not mention before I left the salon. Not to mention my hair was fried. All of which is not what was discussed or expected for the third color correction session. When I messaged Aimee to express my concerns and kindly requested she let me come in to show her the areas of concerns and have her help me, she refused. She told me if I wanted her to correct the mistakes (which she refused to take accountability for or apologize for) I was to pay her more. She then refused to refund me my money so I could seek help from another salon. I ended communication with her feeling sad and frustrated my hair was ruined and this so called "professional stylist" and business owner refused to correct her mistakes. Having been a long time client from reputable salons with high quality customer service and stylists, this was shocking to see the lack of professionalism and customer care. The end result is I had to go to my old stylist to correct my hair (two months after trying to repair my hair at home, yes I walked around with ugly hair for that long) and she was appalled and embarrassed that she sent me to Aimee. She ended up having to cut off six inches because as she states it was not salvageable. She then attempted to repair the chemical damage that Aimee did to make my hair look presentable again. If you are looking for high quality and professionalism and someone to trust with your hair, please look elsewhere because Aimee is none of those. (See pics)

Aimee and the crew at Salon Rise are always very personable & greet everyone with welcoming smiles. The salon is bright , earthy & clean with an inviting atmosphere. I love all of the products used and sold . The convenient location & parking are a bonus. Aimee is a MASTER with blondes! & has done my hair for 10 years. She does Balayage & beautiful colors for me as well as other hair treatments, but she's a pro with hand tied extensions & trends for me as a one stop shop for all of my hair touch ups in one appointment . I send all of my family to Rise . My daughter still flies in town from Cali just to get her hair done at Salon Rise ! Everyone I refer ends up a satisfied , loyal customer. Salon Rise will Go over and beyond to match your expectations . If you are looking for a knowledgeable team that knows hair & cares about your hair health and your hair vision without the stress, you should try Salon Rise!

    Aimee is the BEST!

Love this place. Fun and friendly and I always leave feeling so refreshed. Aimee and all the stylists are the best!

Aimee charged $430 for a balayage and ruined my hair. I had to get it fixed.

Don't go here!! I had an unfortunate experience here with the owner, Aimee. After spending $430 for my hair (a complete shock) it was so poorly balayage that I had to get it fixed elsewhere by a more trustworthy stylist. I had presented the issue to Aimee and she offered to get me in quick on a day that didn't work for my schedule with my child, for a "quick fix of gloss" and I explained I had my child. She said I should bring him with instead of offering different dates. I also no longer trusted her handy work after my experience and it didn't make sense to return and compromise the integrity of my hair even more. Attached are the photos I took and my new stylist took of what was done to my hair by Aimee. I asked for a refund and she completely evaded the question and said she wanted to fix my hair and had me down to do so, even though I never agreed to it. Will be leaving a review on google and filing a complaint with better business bureau as well.

Upon entering for my appointment the two gals that I engaged with were very welcoming. I believe the gal that checked me in was Megan and the other gal I forget her name but she has red hair with cute bangs in a ponytail who was letting me know not to worry about the hour parking in front of the salon. My advice to those new to the salon is to get there early as parking is limited in the front and the ample parking would be across the street or in the residential area. Now let me get to my stylist who wow'ed me. This was my second time around with this stylist. Backstory I met Shawn Babauta at JCPenny as I went in to get a haircut and she mentioned she was moving to Dolce Salon which was the best decision she made as well as for Dolce Salon to add an amazing stylist to their team. Shawn is so talented and the thing I love about Shawn when I first met her was she listened to what my concerns were and what my inspiration was. Also Shawn gives good feedback on styles that compliment your face and how much work a certain style would be for example bangs. That's a plus for me because not many stylists listen or give you that type of feedback. When it comes to a long term stylist I feel that not only are their talents a plus but also vibing with them is important. Shawn I'm so happy my husband found you on social media because moving here due to a military move is always a bit rough. Now to end my long review go check out the pictures I will attach because Shawn did more than what I expected and then some! That's how talented Shawn is! You will see before and after pics.

Hey Hello Hair! I…read moreabsolutely love this place. The ladies here are truly the best. I'm lucky to have Charla and Jessica taking care of my hair--my lifelong, deep red hair that I proudly say comes from my great-great-grandmother. It's that strong Indian red MC1R gene trait, and I don't take it lightly! I had hand and arm surgery in January 2026, and the girls even took care of my hair before my surgery. At that time, we were working through simple wash routines together because I couldn't wash my hair myself. They were so patient and helpful through all of it. By the time I needed my next move-up, I was ready to wash my own hair again, and they celebrated that progress with me. I truly love these ladies like I've known them for years. Everyone in the salon is so kind, fun, and genuinely caring--not just with me, but with every person who walks in. Going to my appointment at Hello Hair is something I always look forward to. I genuinely love being there.

At my most recent appointment, I specifically asked to focus on covering my grays, and she confirmed that we would make sure they were properly addressed. Unfortunately, the service did not fully resolve that concern. (And I paid over $300+) It was difficult to see in the salon lighting, but once I got home a few days later, I noticed quite a few grays still very visible. I reached out to let her know. Since I was in the process of moving, it wasn't feasible for me to come back in right away, but I was hoping we could discuss an alternative solution once I got settled or explore some form of help given I wouldn't have the time to come in right away. Instead, I was sent a link to purchase a gray touch-up stick from the salon. That response was disappointing and, in my opinion, not reflective of a professional resolution to a service concern. Clear consultation, and follow-through are essential in this industry, especially when it comes to gray coverage, which requires intention and attention to detail. If something cannot be fully achieved during an appointment, it should be communicated transparently with realistic expectations and options discussed in advance. I hope this feedback is taken as an opportunity to refine consultation practices and client care. Growth comes from listening and improving, not from becoming defensive, rude, or passive-aggressive. I truly wish her the best and hope she uses this as a learning experience. (And others find this useful if you're looking for gray coverage as part of your service) And btw(after reading the owners response): this was NOT a gray blending service, it was always very clear that I wanted my grays fully covered each time I came in.

She was also 45 minutes late to our appointment, texting me that she was late just a few minutes before, while I was already parking. When I told her and the salon owner, Jolene Dittmar, that my scalp was burned, neither took responsibility. Trena want to do yet another correction, which of course I refused. I wasn't going to let her hurt me again. Jolene three weeks later after much back and forth, said she would refund my $200. She did not. She also complained to me that Trena was hard to talk to due to her personality, so she couldn't address it with Trena. My scalp burned for four days, I had sores all over it for three weeks, and it finally is mostly healed now four weeks later. I've never written a bad review of a salon, and certainly never complained. I'm 59 years old, a retired school teacher, I have colored my hair all my adult life, and I NEVER had a scalp problem before. I am reporting to the Cosmetology board and to the state Consumer protection department. Here's exactly what happened: * I booked a full cut, color, and style appointment for warm dark blonde - auburn color. My wavy hair was just longer than my shoulders. I did not have bangs or layers. The color was a light ash blond. We had a text consultation in advance. * Trena changed the appointment time at the last minute, when I was finding parking for the appointment. * Made me wait even longer while she took a consult (non paying!) client. In all, she was about 45 minutes late starting my appointment. She then seemed to have forgetten everything about our text consultation. * Trena left the salon for over 30 minutes while the chemicals were processing, instead of staying and checking on it. * Trena overprocessed the coloring because she was not in the salon, and it was bright orange--the color I said multiple times I wanted to avoid at all costs. I wanted a warm dark blond / brown. It's not auburn or copper or caramel. Day glow orange. Trena reacted very nervously and said we could correct it with a second darker color. * Trena tried to tell me I didn't need a cut, but then said she'd trim following the preexisting lines. She then fushed the cut (spent literally two to three minutes on it) and chopped several very short chunks totally unevenly. The right side ended up with chunks 3-4 inches shorter. One area has a chunk that is 6-8 inches shorter (at my ear level). * Trena then told me to style it myself at the end (!). She seems to be rushing me out. (She probably was.) I ended up leaving with my hair still wet, after sitting (mostly alone) in the salon for three hours. * Did not wash out the dye completely. It was 45 minutes while I drove home, plus 15 minutes in the salon. My scalp was burning. * I washed out dye when I got home. It was absolutely dye, not just normal washout from the hair. I scraped dye off my scalp. * My scalp developed a dozen or more sores from the chemical burn. These did not heal until three weeks later. I only used shampoo twice in that time. I did apply Cera Vie every other day to the scalp (dermatologist recommended). Also, the salon is not spa like at all. Normally, I don't care what a place looks like, but their website very much misrepresents the place. Not only do they NOT STAND BEHIND their work, it is an sparse, uncomfortable environment. I'm 5'4" and if you are shorter, your head won't reach the sinks. Jolene later said they adjust, Trena said they did not adjust, but either way, no one bothered to adjust for me and they were both there during my fiasco. I will try to add a few photos. Price $200+ Stylist Trena Hair Master or Hair Wizard Ansari Yelp is not letting me add photos, but I will do so. I am sure they will write a review using character assassination. Trena basically told me I was lying, Jolene told me she'd refund my $200 and did not, and tried to claim it was an allergic reaction even though I've dyed my hair 40 years without ever having a reaction. They refused to take any responsibility. Not even an apology, though there was a check in by Jolene three weeks later. Note, I am a normal 59 year old, who has never written a review like this, a retired teacher, and I only want to keep others from being hurt. It's now four weeks later, and I still have three sores but mostly healed.
