The $80 that it cost did not equal the inadequate service I received. It was as if the technician was racing the clock to complete the pedicure. The massage per leg was maybe a minute or 2 long with very little massage. The water was lukewarm warm, the "hot" towel was lukewarm, and the application of the gel left all of the tops of my nails bare so it looks like I did it myself. I was very disappointed today.

I visited Ulta Beauty on Presidents' Day when the store was a bit busier than usual. As soon as I walked in, I went to the front and asked J'Lynn if an associate could help me refresh my makeup routine. That's when I met Sonia--an absolute gem! With a bright smile and an enthusiastic, "I would love to!" she instantly made me feel welcomed. Sonia went above and beyond, suggesting the perfect products to meet all my needs--and then some! She has an incredible eye for picking the right tones instantly, found multi-use products to fit my gift card budget, and even helped me select the perfect coverage to maintain my freckles. Not only was she knowledgeable, but she was also incredibly attentive, seamlessly balancing assisting customers and helping at the front while making sure I never felt forgotten. When I reached the register, I realized I had the wrong gift card and had to run back to my car. That's when J'Lynn stepped in again, ensuring I wouldn't lose track of the products I'd selected. She went above and beyond, helping me take pictures so I could easily find everything when I returned. Without her, I would have been too overwhelmed to search for everything again. While waiting in line to check out, I overheard J'Lynn engaging with a young boy who thought Ulta was "just a girl store." She kindly explained how Ulta offers men's skincare, cologne, and even bath bombs, making sure he felt included. Her warmth and commitment to an inclusive shopping experience were truly heartwarming. By the time I reached the front again, J'Lynn greeted me with the same light and positivity as if we were old friends. Between Sonia's expertise and J'Lynn's outstanding customer service, my shopping experience at this Ulta was unmatched. I had a very uncomfortable visit previously at Ulta in Blackstone mall. Well today I went back eveyone deserves a 2nd chance so off I went. I was greeted by this very nice representative J'lynn she helped me with my purchase even did an upsale as well which i appreciated as I purchased the upsale. I also met the store manager Courtney she greeted me asked me if I found everything i needed. Courtney also did a upsale as well a bogo half price and they had some products i was also interested in and added them to my purchase. I appreciated the customer service this time around and i will definitely come back. Ulta had what i was looking for and some. Thank you j'lynn and Courtney for the wonderful costumer service. I just went to this store starting with nothing and no knowledge either. The woman that helped me (didn't get her name unfortunately) was absolutely incredible. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and very validating. It was an amazing shopping experience and she even kept my desired budget in mind allowing me to get everything I needed within my budget without "cheaping out". I missed my 2nd appointment during an exceptionally difficult period in my life. I had just started a new job and was unexpectedly traveling between MA, Fl and Minnesota to help my 20-year-old son, who as of 3 weeks ago uses a wheelchair, get to a Traumatic Brain Injury specialist at Mayo Clinic. What bothered me wasn't simply the missed appointment fee. It was the LACK of Communication leading up to it. I never received a reminder because I was never asked if I wanted to opt in to or out of appointment reminders. When I didn't arrive, there was also no attempt to call or text to see if I was running late or if SOMETHING HAD HAPPENED. The first communication I received was the charge for the missed service on my credit card, not even from AshNHoney!!! I completely understand small salons need cancellation and no-show policies to stay in business, especially the location of AshNHoney, not exactly ideal or a nice area. My concern is that that customer service seemed to end where the policy began. A quick phone call could have determined whether I had forgotten, was delayed, or was dealing with an emergency. My first appointment the salon made an outreach call and text message to tell me "I could come to my scheduled appointment early since they had unexpected time available. When it benefits them financially to call come early to your appointments it also benefits them financially for you to miss your appointment, with no reminders in advance or calls when a customer doesn't show. Businesses are free to enforce their polices, and customer are free to decide whether those policies reflect the kind of relationship they want with a business. For me, the experience felt impersonal, when I sent a note saying the fee wasn't cool and explained the situation with my son, the owner simply replied "do you want to reschedule" LMAO. It was disappointing, especially considering that no reminder was sent and no effort was made to contact me before charging the fee. So if a customer was in the hospital after a car hit them, or a flat tire on the side of a road - AshNHoney still charge their fee. When a company that services its community cares so little about the community they run a business - I need not continue to support that business. My experience is I will be investing my hard earned money somewhere that is THRIVING doing business versus SURVIVING by charging for no service provided.

Shagged does that. Living in Worcester, there really isn't a whole lot of good/personable/cheap barbers or places to get a good male haircut. I tried barbers in the City, but the trendy taper crap sucks. I tried Diorio's but unless you know someone that works there, you're just another $9 and you get a sloppy cut. This is where Shagged shines. The staff is friendly first, then business like second. I like this about Shagged. As a customer, you are able to give ideas and have someone from Shagged's professional staff recommend a cut to fit the person. So dudes like myself, suck it up and don't worry about the décor and go to Shagged Hair Design and get a gnarly haircut.
