This salon is my happy place. Every time I go there I am greeted by multiple people, offered beverages, very friendly chats and advice/recommendations for styling my hair and also help me with the various beauty products they have throughout the store. They never try to push something on me that I don't need which is a huge plus in my book. The manager Jordan that worked in the salon was amazing (I love him!!!). He really enjoys his job and you can tell he puts a lot of love and effort into making sure everyone is comfortable and have their needs tended too. I've seen every hairstylist there and all of them are worth every penny I pay, I have never had a bad experience going here. I've been at this particular salon for 4 years now. The newest hair stylist Katie did wonders with my hair last week, all I told her was to make me look pretty and she nailed exactly what I wanted. She gave me tons of advice that I asked about and loved sharing her knowledge. I had more fun getting my hair cut feeling like I had a real friend to share things with. I went back today for my son's haircut and my teen is pretty picky about his style; Bailey cut his hair perfectly to how he wanted it and even managed to fit me in for a wash and blow out (she does AMAZING blowouts) We both left very happy. My daughter also sees dezzy as her hairstylist, she was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do for my daughter's badly damaged hair. This is the worst staffed store I have entered in 15 years! No knowledege at all! They sold me something that was not even remotely associsted with the product I was looking for and I even had it in my hand!! I ask for something comparable. If you don't know you do not bluff and act like you do! I think all this is age discrimination against me because I am older. I live an hour drive and now I have to go back!! And I darn well will! This is always my go to Ulta location. The staff here truly is outstanding and I ALWAYS leave feeling like I was just sprinkled with smiles and positivity and kindness. I order/pick up/in store all the time with returns and exchanges and questions and sometimes I ask for 7 perfume samples... I've never been recommended a "pushed product" or felt like I was annoying them. I'm a people person and they're all just so lovely here. (I cannot say anything for salon services... I sat in curbside for over an hour waiting on my order. I called multiple times to be told someone was bringing it "right out." To continue to wait an additional 30 mins. When I said I wanted to cancel the order I was told it would be 5 business days before the order was cancelled and I was refunded an order for over $50. Do not offer a service that you cannot actually accommodate. It's ridiculous and don't tell someone you are bringing their order out if you are in fact NOT. read more

I've become a regular at this Ulta because it's right by my house and convenient! They're located in the shopping strip mall right across from Quail springs mall that houses a Michaels, Ross, Lowes, etc. I enjoy this location because there is always an associate on the floor to help you, they match their online price you just must show them online that day and if they're out of an item in store they will be happy to ship the item to your home for free! No matter the item price it ships for free which is pretty amazing! They do have a hair salon in this location and also I've noticed people getting their brows done which have looked pretty superb from the few random people that I've noticed. The reason i'm giving this location 4 stars is because sometimes the wait in line takes a little longer than I believe it should. Not only because I am impatient at times but I think there needs to be at least 2 people working the registers when it gets busy which it always does during the day. read more

Consistently unfriendly to black and brown customers but I think always be the case. When I was in college years ago and worked at this location, we were encouraged to essentially follow black and Latin customers by the fragrances in case of "theft" Today, Karren (literally her name) greeted me by yelling across the store. It wasn't as if she was busy or occupied and yelling was her only option. So they might want to consider staging their greeters closer to the door or allowing patrons to walk in the store and be near them before screaming a lackluster greeting. This however isn't as jarring as my interaction with her during my return. They seem to have to very complicated return process if you chose to utilize Apple Pay at the time of purchase. Their system seems to only give them to issue the refund as a merchandise credit. While Karren was able to finally assist and just issued me a cash refund, during the process she consistently cut me off while I tried asking questions and then acted almost indignant when I asked her to allow me to finish. read more

I am just so disappointed. All I needed was a bang trim and ultimately ended up with two stylists trying to trim my bangs. The first girl didn't seem like she had a whole lot of experience and was using very dull, cutting shears, so I could feel every painful tug as she "blended" my hair. I woke up this morning hoping a fresh wash & dry would help but the trim is like a hack job!! Uneven pieces and the ends are so bluntly cut. The people are nice, but upset that my hair turned out like this!! Had to spend more money elsewhere to have it fixed. Looks better, but will just have to let it grow out. I'm used to going to the rockwell location because it's closer to me but I decided to pop into the quail springs ulta since I was already in the area. The store itself is huge and they have so many brands to choose from (which i love!) Shelby was super sweet and helped me with finding my correct foundation and concealer shade! She made it a breeze and was so helpful and kind I went back to shopping and was looking In the hair products department trying to find a heat protection spray and I asked an employee (Chelsea, was her name i believe) who was putting away products on the shelf. She recommended the Kendra one but I asked if she had a cheaper alternative since I'd already be spending a pretty Penny on my complexion products lol. She recommended the kristen ess one and I decided to go with it since it was more in my budget. She also told me there was a coupon on the app I could use for it (which made it an even better deal lol) she even showed me where I can find it and ran to grab me a bag since my hands were kind of full. Employees were all talking about something personal that had gone on. I didn't know they close at 8. When I went to check out, the employee refused to make eye contact or speak to me until I asked about the free gifts included with what I bought. She told me that the free gifts are only given out by floor employees and they had all left. I was surprised they still have plastic barriers up from Covid and had to keep reaching around with my phone. I asked the woman holding the door if she was a manager. I told her about my experience. She said Well the store was closed and it was Valentine's Day. I have spent quite a lot there and won't ever go back. We arrived about 10 minutes early for our 4PM appointment, and were told "Didn't you get a voicemail? We can't see her for another hour." I've had quite a few 'rough' experiences in salons, I have curly, thick hair and had finally decided to try again. I called the store days prior and asked who would be the most comfortable working with my hair type. When I arrived Twyla, approached me.. already extremely irritated. I sat in her chair and explained my previous experiences, letting her know I was nervous but was excited. She proceeded to brush my hair dry, asking me if I was tender headed.. I'm not. She began yanking my hair. Honestly, I had never felt so intimidated sitting in a salon chair. She made rude remarks about my hair, I felt as though microagressions were insinuated. All in all I left with a decent finished style and a sore scalp, I would NOT recommend Twyla for anyone with natural hair and are hesitant about entering in the salon space. We shop at Ulta Beauty all the time but I have never had worse customer service than I had today at the Memorial location in Oklahoma City. There was no one on the floor who wanted to help customers. After waiting 10-15 minutes in both front of the flat iron hair appliances and another 15 minutes in from of the perfume area I was not greeted or approached by a single worker. In face, they never even made it to this side of the store during my entire 45 minute visit until I went to them and brought them to the perfume section to confirm stock. The whole reason to have people in the floor is to help customers but the tram on duty today (12/27/18 between 5:45-6:45) did everything in their power to avoid customers. A good retailer makes it as easy as possible to help you spend money on their products and/or services but not today at this store. I am sure Christmas was brutal but this is no excuse. The store in Edmond and Belle Isle Station were very attentive and helpful. My advice to anyone is to visit any Ulta Beauty other than the Quail Springs location on Memorial. They do not want of need your money. read more

This location let me use the coupon on all clearance items, which was a pleasant surprise but a first. The women at the counter also gave me an additional sample item to go! I called the store on Memorial Rd in Oklahoma City to ask if they had ColourPop So Juicy in Princess Cut. After waiting on hold for over 4 minutes I was told, "No." I went into the store within the next 30 minutes to see if i could find another product simliar...One of the first things i saw when i walked in was a ColourPop display with the exact product I was told i'd have to order online. Mind you, this display i'm speaking of was directly in front of the register area. From the register if she would have turned her head barely to the right and looked up she would have seen it. Adessa should not be assisting customers with checkout when she so obviously did not want to be there. She was rude and dismissive to me & my daughter who also had several items to be checked out. She questioned or overlooked points, free gift with purchase, & birthday gift after being asked about it. On Mondays-Wednesday's Ulta closes at 8pm. If you look it up on google and if you go to their front door it states they close at 8pm. All I needed to do was a return. Nothing more. I get off of work at 7:45pm and needed to return something and drove to Ulta as soon as I got off. I get up to their door at 7:55pm their door was locked. I see someone at the register and they let another lady out. CASHIER LADASHA, opened the door to let the customer out and I asked nicely if I could come in a do a quick refund as their was only one customer waiting at the counter. Ladasha states, "we closed at 8" I quickly look at my phone in plain sight so she could see and said, "but it's 7:56 all I want to do is return this, could you guys maybe make an exception please" AND SHE ROLLS HER EYES AND LETS ME IN. I get it. I've been there at the end of closing, you just want to go home. But to ROLL your eyes at a customer, like girl at least fake it till you can make it. So the WHOLE ENTIRE TIME she was processing my return not once did she say anything instead every time I said thank you she was quiet and rolled her eyes. She then walked me to the door to let me out and I said, "thank you again so much have a great night." AND GOT NOTHING! Ahaha crazy. I've had great experiences at this store previously but that was the first worst one. Oh! And she was able to process my return, finish it AND let me out the door ALL BY 7:59pm. Right BEFORE they closed! How great perfect timing! Ulta not sure if your employees know this, but because they wear masks.. all we can see is their eyes. OK so to start off, I've been following a hair stylist for the past 5 years and that is what lead me to this Ulta location. Disclaimer: said hair stylist is my friend and happens to be the manager of the salon at this Ulta. I live closer to two other locations, but choose to drive here due to the high caliber staff! Cassie is incredible, I've been to multiple locations to see her and never been disappointed. They also have a referral discount if you send people to them! I have been to the salon at this Ulta quite a few times and I'm always offered a bottle of water, never have to wait more that 5 minutes, usually because I'm early. The rest of the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! I also regularly buy hair products, make up, nail polish and skin care here. I have gone back and forth about posting this review and I am just going to do it so that some other poor soul isn't out $400. First off the store and their employees as a whole are amazing. The salon would be amazing but unfortunately I paid so much money for a color and cut that I am ashamed to admit it. My stylist and her assistant were great the first time I met them when I went in for a new color and cut. In fact they did my hair exactly as I had asked. So why only 1 star? I only wash my hair 1 to 2 times a week. I lightly wet it down if needed. I had my hair colored and cut on Monday and I was told it would be okay to wash it over the weekend. That is doable. I did need to wet my hair down once and that was on Friday. I just simply wet it with water from the shower. I combed it out and noticed that quite a bit of the color was GONE!!!! I had a whole head color done and the only color remaining was my roots or new growth on the top of my head. The rest of the color washed out. I was horrified as it cost $326 plus tax and tip for a total of $400.00. I was sick. I ended up calling the stylist who did my hair on Monday morning and she said to come in an show her which I did. They determined that they used the wrong brand of color on my hair type and the assistant would do the recolor. Fine right? Not so much. She was going to color my hair back to my original color. Um no. I paid to have the color that we had decided on a week earlier. I want that color back. So that is what we did and it looked great. Just what I wanted. I washed my hair that Sunday (6 days later) and I lightly towel dried my hair and saw color transfer on the towel. It was enough to make a big difference with the color. I didn't wash my hair until the following Friday and same thing happened with the color transferring to my towel. I was so, so angry. I wasted so much money and time to literally have color in my hair for about a week and that is it. When I washed it again a week later, all the color was completely GONE. But there is still the out of place color that took to my new growth on the top of my head. I look like a freaking idiot. I guess I knew if I went back and complained again nothing would be done. It would be too hard on my poor hair and scalp to color again. Please do not go here and get color done. Just don't. You will be wasting so much money. read more

Ulta was having 40% off of Revlon which is a brand I like using. I thought I would have to go to the mall. While I walking outside of Dollar Tree I noticed this Ulta. Drove over to their store. Location of the store was busy. Easter was last weekend so many people were out buying gifts. Walked into the store and they had a display with some of the items I wanted. Two feet in front of the registers were the lipsticks that I wanted to see. It was a weird location and a little crowded. Brought my items up to register and checked out. Very poor customer service. Employees are more interested in congregating around the eyebrow station, gossiping and complaining, than assisting customers. I was in the store yesterday to pick up a few things and was routinely ignored by associates while I was searching the prestige make-up area for a particular item. Finally, one employee very curtly asked if I needed anything and before I had a chance to respond walked away. This has unfortunately become a regular experience. As a result I now only stop in if in a pinch and unable to make it to Sephora. PLEASE PLEASE educate associates on customer service unless you'd rather the store be devoid of customers. read more
