This is the first time in my life I've experienced such a major problem with my hair. I'm still in shock. I hope they resolve this issue.

Ultimately had an okay experience sitting with the salon employee to learn more about makeup application/tips. There are some issues I'd like to express: - my appointment time was being "shared" with someone who was getting their hair done. While my schedule was flexible, it didn't feel like the best experience (and I'm sure the hair client might have felt the same way) - after 30 minutes of waiting patiently for my appointment to start, one of the first things that was jokingly said was "where are your lips? You need to get lip filler" - I didn't take it offensively at first but for someone who is already intimidated by the world of beauty, this didn't feel welcoming for me wanting to learn more and it wasn't the advice I'd come to the store to get. Instead, maybe products that help enhance the look of thinner lips instead of assuming I want to get injections? - shortly after that, once the first few products were applied, she let me know that my peach fuzz needed shaving. While I understand this could be beneficial for product optimization, this isn't something that I'm interested in doing and I think could've been approached in a more open-minded way. - I think the language barrier generally caused a lot of miscommunication, which I'm understanding of. After telling her that I was interested in a more natural/minimalist look because I like my freckles, they were completely covered up by concealer and foundation and she said "look, they're gone!" Although I walked away with some tricks and left a tip because this is her livelihood, I'm generally feeling frustrated with the way my appointment went and the inspo/outcome with products that didn't match skin tone/overall goals, customer service issues with multiple clients at once, and feeling like I didn't really get what I needed because the appointment was rushed. A lot of money spent for something that I could've learned online. read more

Visited this location on 2/10 randomly got ear piercings & unfortunately one is crooked let alone not pierced on the dot as marked. To pay 55$ I would expect the worker to know exactly what they're doing let alone not making a mistake on something you can't fix right away. I booked an appointment same day with Hailey and crossed my fingers she could work through the mess made by those before her. She came through with flying colors! She listened super well, corrected my color to a much more flattering tone, and got all of my layers to work together in a much better way. On sunday May 25th, 2024 I entered Ulta Beauty with my two sisters & my neice. As you walk into this location there are about 20 to 30 employees on the floor everywhere.I went around with one of my sisters to look at perfume. We were helped by a polite store employee. I then went to go see what my neice & my other sister were up to. A couple of store associates helped them find what they needed. "GINA" was even called to unlock the draw to get something for my sister. Then " GINA" walks away to go twiddle her thumbs. Once I was done seeing what my neice & sister were up to. I went back over to my other sister & she told me "Gina" had been following her.Which made her feel very uncomfortable. At first, I tried to give this lady the benefit of the doubt. So as we continued to go isle to isle.She followed behind, not even asking us if we needed help or anything. She kept following us around like an extra tail. It was quite embarrassing for a grown woman. Who could actually be someone's great grandmother would act this way. It was clear as day to me she was following us around.She wasn't following "ANY" of the caucasian customers around. So as one of my sisters was about to check out she bought it to a sales associates attention."Gina" then comes over to say "Oh , we follow everyone around". (Which is a lie.No you don't that's why the actual stealers get away.) We decided to leave the items because it's the principle. 1. Don't just assume because we're black we need to be followed around. 2. It's disgusting , I would "NEVER" treat anyone like this. I won't support a company that has racist people working for you. I literally watched "GINA" overlook everybody else to focus on us. I never really felt comfortable in your stores to begin with. And the woman whom I asked replied with her hand open like a ducks beak , which she then closed together like she was shutting me down and replied " everything is the store is located by designer " and walked away ! The staff was friendly. Many stood around talking to each other. When I asked for help, one didn't know anything and the other gave me wrong information. The third was helpful and led me to what I needed. The prices were a little confusing. I tend to shop where the prices are marked as they are and not permanently marked up and advertised as a sale leaving the customer to figure it out. The Port Orange Ulta sold me a product that was tagged with a TJ Maxx sticker for 60% less than I paid. I returned it to the Daytona store because that was the direction I was traveling, and the manager confirmed that it was probably a return and they mistakenly took a t.j Maxx product. He also confirmed that if the product looks good and doesn't look like it has been used they put it back on the shelf. I was absolutely disgusted knowing that they sell used products for full price, non-disclosure. There is a whole slew of reasons why this is absolutely disgusting. The fact that it's unsanitary is at the absolute top of the list, but the fact that we are in a pandemic situation makes it pretty bad too. Ulta has lost this customer. read more

ive been to the ulta in port orange it really gave me no reason to go back I tried the one in Daytona the staff was friendly but not very helpful. I asked them about a product and they just pointed. I was hoping to get some info on some new makeup I wanted to try but that didn't work out.
