I booked an appt for myself and my daughter but the staff rushed through our manicures when two walk-ins came. We were in and out in 20 minutes. No extra pampering. I decided to try this new place close to my house. I'm so happy I did. This was the best manicure and pedicure I have ever had. The young woman who treated my feet was gentle and kind. The other young woman who painted my fingers and toes did a beautiful job. She was also gentle which I appreciate because the manicure I had prior to this place was awful and painful. I looked online and the time google said they closed is 7, so I called and booked for 5:30 for myself and my daughter. Upon getting there, their door said on Saturdays they closed at 6. They were 30 min away from closing, but we're incredibly accommodating. They were very sweet to my daughter as well. They also have a very delicate touch with handling both feet and hands. New to the area and I am on the hunt for my new nail shop. I walked to this place given that it's at the end of my neighborhood. I walk in and was greeted and asked about what service I was interested in. "Shellac mani and pedi works please". I was well over due for maintence. I was in a pedi chair in 10 minutes. The color selection is great, lots of choices. I choose a marigold yellow color. It's my personal favorite color. The nail tech says out loud in front of the whole salon to hear " REALLY! You want this color?!" Thank goodness I have thick skin and handled the comment like a pro. By the end of the session her reasoning for stating her dislike in my color choice was because she didn't really get brown people in the shop that often so fairer skin tones don't choose the color often nor does it compliment their skin tone...understood. The color was also praised by other patrons by the time I was finished. I'm an artist...I know my color palette! I experienced some nail trauma as the nail tech got a little too drill happy. I felt pain for the next 2 days. Total cost was $75.00 plus tip. Images are after two weeks...not too bad. But the breaks are because she made my nails too thin with the drill. Worst nail salon ever my daughters and her friends nails turned out horrible!! @ultimate_nails_ DON'T GO HERE!!!!!! They told her they don't do long nails and just cut them.. didn't ask them what shape they wanted nothing!! Then took my daughter's friend's phone out of her hand while she was texting her dad. My daughters said she didn't want to pay for the nails because they weren't what they wanted and the quality is SHIT!! They charged her $40 when they told her it was $25 over the phone then locked the door and held them hostage inside until they paid! I called them this morning to tell them we needed to work something out they disconnected their phone so I drove down there and called the police on them after they started screaming at me then locked me out of their salon! I just got my feet burned in HOT WATER but the worst is the nail lady smiled and laughed when I said the water literally burned my foot. Not the smartest nor brightest one in the box! This is one of the worst nail salons I've been to. My friends and I went and got our nails and toes done and we had the worst service. They were disgusted and frustrated that they had to do what we had asked for our feet, and used dirty tools! Not to mention they used dirty tools on on our hands too! Our feet all got burned from the bags and cream they put on. We had told them what we wanted done for our nails and they completely did the opposite. We all have nubs for fingernails they did them so short. Not what we had asked done. Our toenails look horrible and we're probably gonna get foot fungus. Not to mention when we were leaving, the same towel that all our hands were sitting on, she came out when they were closing and a bunch of nail clippings fell out of the towel when she shook it. My first time here I posted a good review. I just took it down because I had my second nail appointment just now and it was a horrible experience. Ultimately the employee was arguing with me about whether or not she applied a top coat to one of my hands before applying lotion and oil to it. SHE first got scared she did not and was telling me she forgot. I then told her I didn't remember her applying it either. She then argued with me that she remembered she did. So, I asked if she could put a top coat on before I left just in case. AFTER she applied the top coat and dried it she told me the polish may lift, which it did. I asked her to fix it and she said it was my fault because I was pushing her to put the top coat on again when she already had and she didn't have time to fix it. I left very upset that one of my hand's polish is completely bubbled. The sad thing is I thought I finally found a place I really liked. Bottom line, she never applied the top coat and then when she tried it bubbled because she had applied oil and lotion to it and then blamed the entire thing on me. I still paid but left no tip. I wish I didn't pay at all. I hope this business learns from this review and you understand that the right thing to do for the customer would be to simply apologize that you made a mistake and fix it. Deeply regretful decision of picking this place to get a pedicure. I wanted a quick and easy pedicure but it just felt completely awkward the whole time i was sitting in the massage chair, Maybe it's me, but I actually enjoy a little conversation instead of complete silence. At least asking me if the water is warm enough, or the stones were okay. I'm not sure if it was a language barrier or what but I didn't really feel comfortable. Another thing I noticed is that they don't have an autoclave machine or their tools were not sterilized. I strongly recommend not coming to this business if you don't enjoy completely quietness and feeling uncomfortable the whole time. I like going here because these Ladies pay very close attention to their work so they don't talk to you as often which is fine with me. I like to relax and enjoy the quiet! I usually call last minute before going in and they definitely do their best to accommodate to my schedule. The esthetician Vee started doing the wrong nail shade on my hands, when I told her that the shade is lot lighter then she said let it get done. After the shellac polish was complete, I said that I didn't like the color she started showing rude behavior... also told me that she doesn't take credit card payments only debit card. To which I said there is no written payment thing anywhere mentioned. The lady made weird faces and told me to get out shouting on top of her head. She acted annoyed when I asked her to redo 2 nails because she put the top coat on immediately after painting them, messing up the polish. Today they RUSHED through my services so quickly that a woman getting a pedicure was there longer than me getting my manicure and pedicure! The woman didn't even do my cuticles just painted over them! Then they charged my card twice and she said don't worry she voided it right away! It was a debit card so it takes several days to return to my account! The woman rushed so quickly through my services but had time to play on her phone! They overcharged me by $15 for my daughters services and wouldn't lower the price because I didn't tell them before even though I showed her how awful both our nails were! Smaller but clean and neat salon on 185th and NW West Union. The woman who did my Shellac mani/pedi was efficient and my nails look great. We will see how they hold up. I've never had trouble with Shellac in the past, so I hope this is the same. The ladies working there are quiet and professional. Not a lot of forced chatter, which I like. Why not five stars? I felt a little unwelcome at first. I called two days ago for an appointment and still had to wait 10 minutes to get started. When I asked about picking a color, one of the ladies brought me only one tray of examples, with about thirty colors. I had to ask twice if there were more Shellac colors to choose from. There is definitely a language barrier here...though maybe that's my fault. I'll be back, provided the quality over the long term is good. read more

It took her a really long time to paint each nail. I appreciate attention to detail, but this was kinda extreme. I asked how much it would cost when I sat down, was told it would be $20 since I wanted my polish removed and new shellac put on. When it was time to pay, the price had been changed to $25. Wtf? Sorry, but that is not a way to gain the repeat business of a new customer. Also the technition at the station next to us was obviously sick, coughing everywhere and making no effort to cover her mouth. Very inconsiderate. I came here with my super pregnant BFF and the ladies were so nice! We called ahead to make sure they could fit us both in for pedicures and good thing we did because they were super busy when we got there. They did an awesome job on our feet/legs including the hot wax at no extra charge. The chairs were really comfortable and the 5 year old that was with us was welcome to sit in one of their massage chairs. They even gave us free flowers on our nails since my BFF was having her baby the next day! They did such an awesome job that we decided to get the manicures done as well, at $37 for both it was a great deal.
