I didn't like the end results and when I asked for a refund they would only give me half of what I paid (I'm not that mad about it, but still the thought of it took me over 20 minutes to get a refund because they were saying everything was perfectly fine and looked like the photo when it did not.) I used to go to a place in Cornelius, but decided after a couple of recommendations from close friends to come into here. Seriously best decision I have ever made!!! They charge so much less for an AMAZING job on acrylic sets and offer a large variety of options as far as color, ombré, and design goes. Julie did my nails, and she is an artist! I get we might be teenagers and they think we won't tip good but I tip overly generous if the work is done nicely and professional. This was beyond not professional. I've been going to Bonvie for a couple yrs now, but yesterday I experienced a complete 180 from what's usual. I drive to FG from Beaverton because I've always had great service and the prices were comparable. Yesterday I got a simple fill, ombré acrylic w a clear coat. The ombré is more of a French tip, my coffin shape is square, and she cut my finger. After getting nothing what I'd asked for they charged me $50 for a fill! Made an appointment. They started 30 minutes late on me. So i didn't have time to get a full pedicure. I just had time for them to trim my toe nails and put gel polish on. They also tried to use somebody else's dirty utensils on me and I had to ASK them to get clean ones and not to use the previous customer stuff on me... I literally watched her do this other clients nails and then walk over with the utensils and sit down. She was really going to use them on me..... I was charged $40 for this wonderful experience. Tools were not clean! Came to get a pedicure, that same night my big toe started swelling and hurting really bad. Needless to say the next day I cannot walk on my foot. It's super infected. My feet were fine yesterday and did not have any ingrown toenails. It's swollen, red and started to puss. Never have had this happen before. Having to go to the doctor after a pedicure is ridiculous. I have been here twice in the last 2-3 months and it's been a horrible experience both times. The first time I went the lady took off my gel by sanding it all off with the Dremel tool. She shaved my nail down so much that I felt pain. My nails were so thin and ruined. The second time I went was 3 days ago. The lady dropped the cuticle cutter on the floor and preceded to cut my cuticles with it. She was so aggressive it hurt. Then she CUT ME! She cut me with the dirty clippers that were on the ground. She put this green stuff on it that stops bleeding and it hasn't stopped hurting since. I'm pretty sure my finger is infected now. It's been throbbing for 3 days and is draining pus. I had a great experience here! Got a french tip gel manicure on 6/7 and they still look perfect (besides nail growth) nearly a month later! They did my french tips thicker than any other salon I've been to, but I loved it because I have a pretty large nail bed so it was balanced. Two nail techs helped me out and they were both friendly and did a hreat job. The salon has prepackaged nail kits that you take home so you know you're getting a fresh file/toe seperators, etc. It was very clean and efficient, and they have a sign in sheet so they know who is still waiting. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!! brought my daughters to get their nails done here last weekend. We were super excited because this salon was so close to our house. Upon walking in we were greeted. I got my eye brows waxed and shellac on my finger nails. My oldest got solar nails and my youngest just got nail polish on her finger nails. My eye brows looked great but I started to notice once they started on my oldest there was going to be a problem. I had to tell the lady to make my daughter nails shorter 2 times and she started to get irritated with me. Eventually they asked me to move over with my youngest. The nail tech who painted my 8 year olds nails acted irritated she wouldn't sit still (she's 8!!!). She told my 8 year old if she messed up her nail she "WOULD NOT FIX THEM!"My nails were very hurried as a "return client" had come in for her appointment. She was seated right away and was given a soda (we were not offered a drink). After we were done I looked at a daughters solar nails. They looked awful! Some finger nails are longer then others and the nail polish they placed on top did not fully cover the nail. Not to mention she broke one 2 hours after we left the salon! I spent $45 on them and they look horrible! All in all $80 spent to be treated "less then" and to be treated like an inconvenience. I will NOT go back! Beware of this place!! UPDATE: So we were contacted by the owner after I left my review. They wanted to make thing right with my daughters nails. They kindly got us in that same night to "fix them". They actually turned out pretty good. They were all very nice. I will upgrade my score to two and a half stars. I don't think I'll be back to get anything else done but they did fix their sloppy nail job. Now three weeks later she has 7 nails left... guess that's not bad. Received the most aggressive gel manicure I've ever had. Not only did she file my nails very short, she also clipped away the skin at the corners to the point that they're still sore five days later. The paint job was abysmal and lacked any attention to detail. I had to trim and fix it as best I could when I got home. Three years ago this place was great. I recently went in for a manicure and as I sat there I looked around and noticed that the place was filthy. There was a thin layer of dust on everything. As I watched her remove the nail polish with her little drill thing I saw partials going everywhere which helps explain the dust. The plastic sheet between the customer and the manicurist looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The light machines they used to dry the nails was also quite dirty. No one offered me a drink and no one spoke to me at all except for "pick your color." It's sad to see how this place has fallen. Probably another victim of COVID. I was very unimpressed with our nails. I took my daughter and my mom for a belated Mother's Day treat. I got shellac on my toes and they looked fine. She did a good job. I was talked into getting acrylic tips on my nails which I did not want but she wouldn't quit pestering me about it. She made my nails hurt multiple times to the point that I pulled back and was almost in tears. She was acting like it was my fault because my nails were so short. My nails ended up being bulky, uneven, and the paint looks so bad. There is acrylic residue left all over the pads of my fingers. She didn't even clean the underside of the nails when she was done and I had to go back and ask once I was done paying. My mom got a gel manicure and again, was talked into something that she didn't want. Her nails look fine. Overall it was overpriced or an unsatisfactory visit. We were not offered anything to drink like some of the other customers were. For $137 I expected a lot more. I will definitely not be returning. read more

I got a full set from Julie a couple of times and it has not been a pleasant experience. She is known for cutting skin with the drill and has done it to me multiple times. My most recent visit, she rushed the entire time and did not make me feel like she cared about my nails. My nails were not cut straight and the paint job was horrible. My cuticles were messy which led me to having to clean up the nails when I got home. My friend got a set from Nhu and she was lovely. Her nails came out perfect and she was gentle the entire time. Treated my mom like they didn't want to do her pedicure. She is a little handicapped but not much. We left her for the so we could do errands for her. We will not be back!!! I went in to get my a full set of gel acrylics and decided while I was there to get my eyebrows tinted. The acrylics were decent but the tint was HORRIBLE. She literally just put the dye on my brows and left me in the room. It was my first time getting it done "professionally" so I didn't know the process. I just knew when she wiped it off it looked TERRIBLE. She didn't even shape it to my eyebrow and she charged me extra for it! Luckily I was able to scrub it off at home. I DO NOT recommend. On top of this they also messed up my friends nails because they didn't listen to what she wanted. They also asked us if we spoke Chinese and once we said no they started going off. I have been here about three times. Everytime I have been very unsatisfied. They have cut mine and my friends finger each time while filing. Getting my acrylics filled the drill gets extremely hot and burns my nails. I just got a pedicure and they barely scrubbed my feet and left a lot of dry skin still on me heels. Very unhappy. I made an appointment for a gel manicure and the tech who did my nails cut me multiple times with the file and made one finger bleed. She seemed confused on doing an accent nail and took forever to paint them. I had to put them under the light 3-5 times per layer and that was to much. Also under the techs painted nails you could clearly see the nail fungus and all I kept hoping was that those nails were not painted with the polish they use on clients. 7 days after I got them painted they had all peeled and cracked. Went here for a nice and relaxing gel nail service, and when opening the door, we were greeted by an employee sleeping on the couch and no customers. Although this was shocking, we still intended on getting our nails done. During the service, both me and the other person I was with had our nails filed painfully short, and my cuticles were cut so short that I was bleeding out of 3 of my nails. This was extremely painful and unnecessary, and we were charged way more than they deserved. read more
