I HATE, yes meant that in caps, dealing with salespeople. Pushy and overly glowing usually, or treat me like I'm stupid because I'm a woman buying a rather beefy truck. None of this happened. They worked their collective butts off to not only get me the truck I really wanted, but work with my personal bank to get the deal sealed. The price was well within norms for the features, engine and miles of the truck and its frankly so much nicer than I had anticipated having to buy. It has zero problems. My boss just bought a vehicle from this place. They took it to their trusted mechanic and it isn't even safe for the road. They are facing $8K and the dealership is not cooperating. The brakes are not safe to even drive back to them and they spray painted the frame saying it was repaired, when it is not road worthy. What a terrible experience. Please do not let them sell you a dime for a nickel. The sales person repeatedly told them the brakes were fine. Looking at the other reviews, it seems this is the norm. SHOP ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!! Absolutely awful service. Very unprofessional. The head mechanic (whose name I cannot remember) is a very foul and unprofessional character. He does not back up his work. He hides things he breaks. I bought a $10,000 vehicle from them. I expected to get at least a quality $10,000 vehicle. I ended up having to replace the engine about a month later. Out of my pocket. $3,200 more out of my pocket for that. That came with a 90 day warranty. It's been about 75 days in which the new engine already tripped misfire codes that the head mechanic knew about. He also said that it is close enough to 90 days anyway. I am having more engine knocking which is a bad sign. I had a mechanic of my own come check on it for me and we discovered that this engine is consuming oil. The vehicle holds about 5 quarts of oil and we were able to get just over 3 quarts out. And it was still within oil change limits. Upon further inspection we found other issues, there is a snapped off bolt on the engine block of the replacement engine, there is an engine shroud that sits on top of the valve covers, 3 out of the 4 snap on points are broken off. Upon asking him, he said that he would not replace it. Nor would he replace the spark plugs or coil packs that came off the old engine and put into the replacement engine. He said that he shouldn't have to replace those and that the engine warranty doesn't apply to the spark plugs because it's not part of the engine. Wow. Just to add to that, within a month of getting the vehicle I had to replace all the brakes and rotors due to the rotors being warped. And a couple months after getting it I had to replace an entire wheel hub and wheel speed sensor. I get that some things just go bad. But when I pay so much money to get a vehicle and then to have another engine put in, you would think they would have a little more curtesy when it comes to asking for some simple things taken care of that already should have. And so when I try to get some information so that I may be able to talk to someone else with a little more authority, the secretary (Amy) was very hesitant to even give me the owners name (Randy Jensen) and the. She refused to give me his number or any possible way of contacting him. Not even so much as an email. I am just completely crushed that this is even ok. They are extremely dishonest. Very unprofessional. And to be quite honest, I am utterly shocked that a company with a bad reputation as this can still be in business. read more

Awful Everything In the front office, they misquoted a trade-in price and wanted to change it after the paperwork was complete ready to sign. They overcharged me for a car by $1000 because of a "clerical error." I found out when I reviewed the paperwork and found a discrepancy in the sale price. I purchased two cars from them, shortly found out they both had oil leaks, one had a hole in the transfer case and no oil in the engine when I bought it. (no issues reported on the window sticker, though) Their mechanic is either terrible or they deliberately falsify their inspections. When I tried to get service after identifying the pre-existing issues which they didn't disclose, they were rude and dismissive and refused to take any responsibility. I had to file a complaint with the WI DOT, got them to attempt to fix one of the leaks, which they only made worse, and I got my $1000 overcharge back. After that they consistently told me it'd take 3 weeks to fit in either car for service. So, even if I had a warranty, they couldn't honor it. I can't say one good thing about this company or it's management. Seriously don't even waste your time at this place. I purchased a truck from here and the paperwork was done all wrong on it. I will admit I made a mistake, missing a check mark on the extended warranty paperwork, but after it was caught, they were zero, and I mean ZERO, help on rectifying the issue. You also need to question their vehicle inspection process. They sell vehicles put together with zip ties. I wish I was lying. I had some leaking in my calipers. Took it apart to see if it was the seal or what. Come to find out my rear differential is zip tied together. GET IN YOUR CAR AND TURN AROUND!! If I could give them a zero I would! Don't waste your time here. I purchased a 2002 Acura with 0nly 82,415 miles on it. Paid $2295 for a 3 yr. extended warranty from Gold Standard Automotive, again don't waste your time. Within 6 months of having the car the a/c went out. No big deal I have a warranty, Wrong!!! The warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on! I took the car into a local repair shop and they came up with a $6000 repair bill for this car, apparently there wasn't a good thing about this car. Every suspension bushing, joint, ball joint, ect. needed to be replaced. 82000 mi. really??? Fast forward a year and a half and the transmission goes out at 109000 mi. that's only 27000 mi. since I bought it! But I still have a warranty? Wrong!!!! They denied repair saying I didn't have any records for the car. But I do, I had a transmission service done at 88495 mi. that's well within the manufacturer's timeline. Then they come back with "the cars to old" it's only worth $875 on a rough trade in because it has a blown transmission. Really!! Isn't that what I bought a warranty for?? I was told by the dealer that this warranty would cover my drive train 100% for the 3 yrs. Gold Standard claims the dealer should have never sold me this policy it's they're fault. So hear I sit with a car I can't drive, it doesn't pay to call the warranty company it's just a flat out no from them. And calling Ultimate Rides has gotten me nowhere, they just keep giving me the brush off. So bottom line is to stay as far away from either of these companies as you can. read more

We bought a car from them, then found out it was considerably overpriced and that was just the beginning. It had a manual transmission that wouldn't shift into Reverse. They fixed it, but how can a car dealership even sell a car with this glaring issue? At the time of sale, there were no service records for oil changes, so they directed us to just bring it after 3,000 miles of driving and they'd change it for free. When we brought it back in to take them up on this, they told us that because we didn't have this in writing, they would not honor it. I told them that apparently I should have required a voucher rather than trusting that they'd be good to their word. Then, the brake light came on -- with alarm -- each time we drove it. It ended up being too low on brake fluid. Also, the tires were all at 30 pounds pressure, when the tires said to inflate them to 44 PSI. We've ran into other things that we've had to fix on this car that make us wonder if they even send their vehicles through a checklist to correct issues before presenting them for sale. I guess it's cheaper for them to NOT do this and push this burden onto their customers, then hide behind the "sold as is" clause on their contracts. Bottom line - they have lost our business and there is no way we would ever recommend them to our friends or family. Stay away! read more

I test drove a 2009 Honda CRV from the Neenah dealership on 8/3/19. Found it on autotrader.com and needed a dependable car for my daughter for college. Wanted navigation and a back up camera, which this car had. Reasonable sticker price and I made an accepted offer with the salesman, "Bob". Picked the car up on 8/7/19. Drove 2 hours to Neenah from my home in Madison twice (once for test drive, once for delivery). During test drive, the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) light on dashboard was on. Told them about it, and they said they would fix. Was later told one of the TPMS sensors was bad and they replaced it. After picking up the car and driving it home, the TPMS light came on and off several times. Took it to a local Discount Tire the next day for further inspection. Was told 3 of the 4 sensors were bad and the wheels were badly corroded. Spent $650 for 4 new wheels and 3 new tire pressure sensors. Sent an email to "Bob" with the receipt and photos of the bad wheels and sensors, asking for some kind of reimbursement. He said he'd check with the owners about my request and "get back to me." After two weeks of more emails and phone messages that went unanswered, I called yet again and was finally able to talk to him. Was told there was nothing they could do and they wouldn't reimburse me anything. Was offered a free oil change if I was up that way again though!! To be fair, the purchase process was smooth (didn't have to finance), and "Jimmy" did a nice job of prepping and cleaning the car before delivery (although the gas tank was almost empty). They also gave me a new gas cap and an evap part because the "check gas cap" light was also on (another issue I have to fix yet). I also question their "safety check", as I heard loud clunks from front end while driving home over road bumps. Had this inspected myself too and was told that I need new struts/springs in the rear and stabilizer bars in the front end ($800+ expense). Ultimately, they were terrible with me even one day after the sale and I feel taken advantage of given my distance from the dealership. Once off the lot, you're on your own! read more

Leaving the lot and not having the car start multiple times, then being told I needed a new battery even though I just bought it. Took it back and watched them grab just another random one from a different vehicle... USED and place it in my car! This car has been nothing but issues since I've had it, and so much money has been put into it. Now after having it for this long it was brought up to me within the history of the car that it was bought DAMAGED FROM AN AUCTION. When bringing this up to two different managers over the phone, they had stated people are filling my head with false information yet offered to trade in my car for another..? I do not recommend purchasing a vehicle from ultimate rides. We purchased a vehicle for over $10,000 2 years ago and have had nothing but problems. Needless to say, the vehicle no longer runs and would cost more to fix then it is worth. We even purchased an after market warranty that they offered and that is a bigger joke. We have regularly maintained our vehicle since purchased and have only put on 20,000 in the last 2 years. Our mechanic said the same thing another reviewer has said, a band aid was put on the car to make it presentable to sell. The transmission is shot and there was so much sludge in the engine from the previous owners not maintaining their vehicle that the valves are ruined. This is something that should not be missed during their "vehicle inspections". Also, when purchasing the vehicle, my husband questioned the color of the transmission fluid and we were told it was normal. After questioning the same thing to another mechanic we were told the severity of the issue. Especially after they flushed the transmission. Since the thousands of dollars we have spent on repairs (none of which the warranty ultimate rides sponsors covered) I would encourage no one to make the same mistake we did. read more

Whatever you do, DON'T GO HERE!!! I bought a used 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe from them July 2014 and within 6 months the transmission went. Part of our agreement was that they would put new tires on the car when I got it and they said they did, but I got a flat tire a week later to only find out that they were used tires that had patches on them. I am also 99% positive they somehow "fixed" the CarFax because they showed us that the car was in 0 accidents and when we went to trade it in this week, CarFax showed that it was in 3 major accidents previously. If your thinking about buying a car here because the price tag is average to below average, it's because the vehicles are just engine expected when they purchase them. Nothing else besides topping off fluids and waxing the vehicle. Purchased a suv, miles about 100k for 10k... deal.. right?! A week and a half after driving the vehicle off the lot, the check engine light comes on.. we take it into advance auto to check the code and they say its a 02 sensor. Ultimate does not take care of that after you drive it off the lot.. only drive train... Well, now we have to replace the whole catback exhaust and muffler because it had a few rust holes and its eating up the gas like theres no tomorrow. Also the AC needs to be replaced, even after recharging it.. something is still wrong and not blowing cold air. Check all lights and check the windshield wipers, a few of them we also replaced. And we've had this vehicle less than 6 months. If your mechanic, deal... you can fix whats wrong.. but if you dont know anything about vehicles and have to take it in to be fixed... tack on $500 to $1000 plus on your purchase. Do not give this place your information ever. I filled out their info form online when looking at a vehicle, they hard inquired me the next day, but never called. A few days later Jeff called while I was in the middle of something so I asked if he could call back in 2 minutes, he didn't. So I called 3 times and left 3 messages, no return on the calls ever. A day later, another hard inquiry, less than a week from the first one, bam my credit score drops 8 points. I call back for Jeff, he's busy again, leave message, no call back. It was then the weekend, the following Monday what happens? A 3rd hard inquiry! Amazing how they are applying for loans for me when they don't even know how much I need the loan for, what vehicle I'm actually going to buy etc. Once again this lowered my credit rating. So I now lost 16 points off my credit score. The next day I simply went in there, guess what I'm already approved for a few loans options, big surprise. I test drive the vehicle I'm interested in, it handles a little funny and online I saw the carfax had 35 reports, yet they didn't have the info on it... I asked if I could take it home for a few hours, they didn't seem too interested in that. Finally I told them straight up I want to take it to a mechanic to get it checked out first. They told me their mechanics did a full inspection and it's in great condition, gave me all these little fun facts about the tire tread and stuff. I stood firm and told them only way i'm buying it is if I take it to another mechanic. They let me and I took it to a well known place in neenah, they came back with a quote for over $3000 for immediate repairs from the struts to the alignment and the catalytic converter. Plus they gave me a side quote for $1700 for additional work that would be needed within the next year or so. Basically, this car was on it's last leg and needed a ton of work, they straight up told me it looked like a band-aid job to just get it running. I went back and confronted them they accused that place of being a liar and shady, I asked to bring it to another place then and they told me they were done playing games. I guess trying to insure I get a solid vehicle is a game. I would never buy a vehicle from here, all the reviews on BBB and google are of the same tune, they sell vehicles that have major issues then don't stand by them and lie about the condition they are in.
