Since this place has been under new management it has gone downhill dramatically. I paid 70 dollars for my car wash and right after I left I noticed they didn't even touch the roof of my car which was covered with bird poop. They never cleaned my wheels and vacuumed horribly. I turned right around and went back and watched them carefully redo the car. This was the last time I will be going to this very expensive, horrible car wash. This is by far the worst car wash I've ever used. I went at 9am on a Sunday and the car came out worst than it went in. More workers than cars and they never even cleaned the inside. I've been going here for years. I took my car for a much needed wash. The inside did come out really clean, the outside tho I got a wax and it looks waxy and clean from afar. But up close there are certainly spots missed. And I was there for over an hour since I paid for the biggest package which was $140 with tax . I did it since I haven't washed my car in a while. I was a loyal car wash member for two years, but the quality has gone downhill significantly. The interior cleaning is nowhere near what it used to be, and the exterior is often left with streaks. Despite these issues, I never once complained. They even broke the inside shade on my rear passenger window, and I still didn't say anything. The final straw came today. I arrived at 6:45 PM for a wash, and a staff member named Oscar (wearing a red shirt) told me they were closed. I had called ahead and was told they were open until 7:30. His attitude was rude and dismissive, and the whole experience was incredibly frustrating. I went inside and had the cashier cancel my membership on the spot. My car came out and was not spotless. Windows had a film of dirt underneath the wiper blades and under the mirrors. I guess to clean the bird poop off your windows isn't part of their basic car wash either. I also don't go to this car wash because of its location but I tried It once and will not return. If it's busy the line of cars spill onto Jericho Tpke and line up blocking the lanes. I specifically went because I spilled powered laundry detergent in my truck. Let's just say they put little to no effort in removing it. Have been goin to this car wash since it opened. I have tried some others but have found Ultra Sonic has been the best in the area. They are very detailed to get your car clean as they can. Last time I brought my wife's car after we drove to and from Miami, Florida. There were dead bugs all over the front of the car and of course after driving all that way with 4 of us in the care it was filthy in and out. I saw them working on the car for a long time trying to get it as clean as possible and it came out very clean. Better than I expected. Every time I bring my car to this car wash I feel confident they will do a good job. First and last time going to this car wash. They advertise as a hand wash but the first thing they do when they put the car on the track is use a brush . I expected to wait in line to get into the bay for the wash but wasn't expecting a 30 min wait for them to fix the track. Please don't do the monthly plan! The place is managed by teenagers and they don't care. My credit card was charged twice the first time I called to speak to the manager and no one picks up the phone. On my return visit, I asked to speak to the manager and he wasn't there I return several times and he was never there. I was charged twice the following month again. I called and returned many times and no answer and the was told the manager/owner was not there. I had to block the charges thru my bank. Although sonic is a well known hand washing car wash, theres always something missing. Either they forget to ask you what smell you want in your car after telling you it's optional, or they forget to clean pigeon poop off your roof, somethings always missing. Its a good wash, the price jumped after minimum wage increased. You will now be paying 40-50 dollars for a wash, kind of bizarre. The guys manually clean every single spot which is good. But it took quite a long time for the whole process. 10 mins queue wait to get into the washing line. Then 20 mins of cleaning process. So I just returned from my very 1st trip to Ultra Sonic Car Wash. I decided to drop in here as I was already in the area and because it was closer than the other two car wash places I mostly frequent (USA Car Wash on Jamaica Ave./212 Street & Five Corners on Hillside Ave./Marcus Ave.) and because I remember my brother-in-law telling me this was his "go-to" car wash. Being that today is a Saturday and it was nice out, I was expecting a long wait. It wasn't as bad as I thought - there were about 6 cars ahead of mine. Due to the line, three of those cars were lined up on Jericho Tpk, awaiting our turn to pull into the driveway.. So my among first observations was that pricing for the most basic package (Sonic Scream @ $18.95) was about $6-7 dollars higher than a similar package at USA Car Wash but maybe a dollar or two lower than Five Corners. I was hoping that the premium over USA Car Wash would be worth and my verdict was that it most certainly was! Side bar: I have to admit that as I was waiting in line, I was looking over the Yelp reviews and some of the more recent ones made me seriously think about staying and getting my wash here. That being said, I was not at all disappointed that I decide to stay and check out this spot! As with many car washes, you pull your car up to the edge of the wash tunnel and tell the attendant what you want. He will then hand you a ticket and you can head inside as he pulls your car into the wash tunnel. You can pick up various items to clean and in other way freshen up your on your own vehicle or even grab a coffee. You can check out and then proceed to a nice interior waiting area with seats at the window so you can remain in a nice climate-controlled environment while keeping an eye on the crew finishing up your vehicle. I have to say I was impressed with the way the 2 gents working on my car were so diligent. They took their time and came back to some areas multiple times to make sure everything was touched up and spotless (literally). They took time to lift up my wipers and make sure to clean the windshield thoroughly. They lifted up my trunk to make sure all the water in there was taken care of and one of them even sprayed window cleaner on my sunroof's exterior. Was that necessary? Probably not, but I appreciated the attention to detail. The interior was well cleaned - the mirrors, dash, center stack, console, and carpets were all well taken care of. The final inspection occurred when I got home. Usually, when I leave a car wash and get home, I notice water that had made its way out of door jambs, side view mirrors, trunk, etc. and splattered across my doors, bumper, and such. Virtually none of that occurred this time. In fact, the only place I had to quickly wipe was the rear bumper as a little bit of hidden water had made its way out during the 10-minute drive back home. That's nitpicking so I didn't mind having to take 20 seconds to handle that. All in all, I give Ultra Sonic a solid 5 stars based on this first and only experience. I just hope they can repeat this every time as I definitely plan to go back to them again. read more

I have used this car wash for years utilizing the unlimited monthly car wash option. I went yesterday to sign up again after pausing it for a few months. Much to my dismay the same service I recently paid $49 per month was now $89 per month. The one time wash went from $24 to $35! I had no choice but to pay the $35 but didn't sign up for monthly. My first experience pulling up was being rushed by some guy in a red jacket to tell him what package I wanted. I'm used to going to car washes that give you 3 options so looking at the boards and deciding what I wanted from the numerous choices was goIng to take me some time. Being that he was impatient, I told him to just do the exterior. They did a pretty good job. No complaints on the wash. Definitely makes sense getting the monthly wash package as the washes can be pricy. You get what you pay for right? I like the fact that none of the workers who touch your car are wearing jackets with zippers or anything on that can scratch your car. Every time I go to this car wash I'm reminded why I tell myself to stop coming here as I leave. My car is always dirty even after washing it. The wheels are just as dirty as when they came in every time. I asked for them to redo it and they wipe it down a bit and tell me that's the best it'll get. It's not the best it will get? You know why? Because I go to other washes or clean them by myself and it looks perfect all the time. On top of that My car has floor mats that clip on to the floor which they've manage to break like 2 times already. I expect this kind of service at a cheap automated wash but after spending $20-40 here I feel like I get ripped off most of the time. Ultra sonic is a decent place, not the greatest but if you need to get your car washed without putting it through one of those car washes with all the brushes, then this place is right for you. They are a little pricey but I doubt you can find a place that does hand washes for cheap. They do take their time but they're not too thorough, they will leave spots untouched. I sometimes have to end up fixing certain areas of the car when I get home. Make sure to get the "VIP Club Card", you'll get a free soft drink/coffee with your wash.
