The intake process was straightforward and thorough, with questions designed to assess my overall health and fitness--not just my weight concerns and goals. Tiffany, my intake clinician, quickly and efficiently took my blood pressure, conducted basic diagnostics, and asked additional health-related questions before guiding me through a detailed Body Composition Analysis, including my Basal Metabolic Rate. She then briefly reviewed my results, offering helpful suggestions like increasing my exercise routine, drinking more water, and following the Genesis Lifestyle protocols, which focus on lean proteins and healthy fats. Next, I met with Eric, the nurse practitioner, who explained the clinic's team-based approach and outlined a sensible, realistic plan to help me achieve my weight loss and overall health goals. I appreciated how clear and practical his guidance was. Before leaving, Heather, the Practice Manager, checked in to ensure I was comfortable with the plan and answered any questions I had. I was also given the choice to come into the office for medication administration or attend a class to learn how to do home injections. I was never clearly informed about the credentials of the person who performed the injections, and there were no visible certifications in the office. Overall, the environment felt unprofessional and questionable. We truly cannot care for anyone else until we attend to our basic needs, like our health. Recently, I had some experiences that made me rethink and realize the fragility of one's health. I found this little clinic from word of mouth, Gabriel mentioned it to me. They have great hours, take my insurance, and have the best team. A caring team! My principal complaint when I made the initial appointment was for pain management relief from low iron levels. My hemoglobin levels were way below average, actual at 6. Yes 6! This is the reason for the pain in all four of my limbs. The low iron was causing irregular sleep patterns or no sleep, breathing issues, and a few other symptoms. But one needs "sleep," to survive. The doctor did blood tests, and offered the use of steroids to deal with the pain from low iron issues, so at least I could sleep. I was offered the chance to have a steroid shot and another pain medicine via my vein. These shots were reasonable at $50 each with payment taken at the time of service. It's been a little over a month that I've been able to make this office work for me. The staff is again very kind. While I've had to back off the shots while awaiting my first iron infusion the little bit of relief for the physical pain that comes with "low iron," was at least partially relieved due to the staff here and their recommendations for my health. We have but fleeting moments in life, during this phase and small moments of my life it was truly life changing. Just having someone that cared while awaiting the medical treatments was a god send to me . Pain is a mind numbing experience and really shakes an individual to their core . The staff and all their ability to care truly shows in their service to helping others that are in pain and need no matter what their condition or circumstances. If you live in this area and need immediate assistance for medical treatment and are awaiting something give a call . Once I was hospitalized for severe abdominal pain and without testing, I was diagnosed with peptic ulcer. Dr. Alfreda ordered H-pylori testing ( which was negative) and sent me to GI SPECIALIST. I had upper GI endoscopy and a tissue biopsy revealed celiac sprue . I am very hard-headed person who will never go to the hospital unless Iam unconscious. Numerous times I had very bad respiratory infection which interfered my breathing and I still refused to go ER AND AGAIN DR ALFREDA was my savior .
