Pros: Good fun for active types. Groupons often available. Sessions are pretty inexpensive. Cons: Party packages are pricey. No seating outside of party rooms and there is pretty much always a wait. Rock wall that is not run on a regular basis. Arcade games are pricey substitute for basic seating. Equipment faulty on a regular basis. Overall the cons are just good things to be prepared for, not deal breakers for fans of laser tag.

I disputed a $5.99 charge on $250 bill, they called the police on 9-year old birthday. Their policy...pay what they say or else.

Don't question the bill or they call the police, even on a 9-year old birthday party. In short, when I disputed a $5.99 charge on a $250 bill, they threatened to call and then did call the Fairfax County Police. When I booked my daughter's 9-year old birthday party at this Ultrazone, they mailed me invitations, but never indicated there was a charge for this service. When I said I wouldn't pay that charge (which no one told me about and wasn't listed on the confirmations I received) they said pay it or we call the police. I still refused and they called the police. I didn't want it to come to that, but I was treated so unprofessionally that I decided to stick to my principles. I was never rude, but I did consistently refuse to pay the charge. The first person I dealt with was James, who kept accusing me of being rude for refusing to comply. Then I dealt with manager Samantha who was polite, but unyielding. She called her manager at Corporate who turned out to be the rudest of them all. When I explained my position, he said "I was going to help you, but now I'm not." He then asked his manager to make sure I was escorted off the premises by the police. Over $5.99. Clearly they don't care about customer service, but they still lost this repeat customer today and I hope they lose many more because of this review. Worst customer service I have EVER experienced. They don't deserve to succeed.

    What are the prices?

I'm not sure if the pricing at all locations is the same, but at the Baileys Crossroads the 3-game pass is $20, and the party option starts at $240 for up to 10 kids. For the parties each additional kid will be $20 more.

I went with my niece and was genuinely surprised by how much fun we had! The games were interactive, challenging, and a total blast. We laughed a lot, got competitive, and I'm pretty sure people in the other rooms (or "boxes") could hear us having a great time. I'm really glad we gave it a try, and I'd definitely go back. If you have kids or are looking for a unique family outing, I'd say the passes are well worth it. One quick tip: Know exactly where you're going before you arrive. I didn't realize the location is on the outside of the mall, which wasn't a big issue for me, but it could be frustrating if you're tight on time. The confirmation emails do a solid job providing directions--if you're driving and parking. But if you're getting dropped off (like I was via Uber), the signage and location can be a little tricky to spot. A minor hiccup, but something to be aware of.

There are free lockers to hold purses, back packs, etc-use this bonus because these items will be in the way. There is a shelf in the game room for beverages. Here is the skinny: the game is a screen that covers 3 wall spaces. Too many people and they're in the way. We had 9 the room with 6 playing. We did have to constantly move out of the way during play. The staff were kind, accommodating, informative and just super cool! We appreciated being given instructions on the best package and the best games for our group's dynamic. Because it's a screen with no tangible objects, we probably won't go again, but this is certainly a cool experience for one time or to return to if you have huge discounts.

We were greeted by 3 staff members (apologies I don't remember their names). I initially thought this was just a venue to smash stuff but it was explained that this is a mental health venture aimed at spiritual healing. After signing the waivers and donning our PPE, we went in. The wooden structure isn't huge so you cant get running starts or make any long over hear arm movements, but it ended being just the right amount of space to get your smash on. Initially I was caught up in the novelty of smashing things, but a point in time came where that novelty faded and I found myself tapping into an aggression and emotion I did not go there with. It wasn't until I stood there out of breath with my hands sore that I truly understood what this place was for. That session provided a space and avenue for me to truly let go, for just a little bit. If you haven't done that recently (or ever), you need to book a session to understand what im talking about. A challenge was issued to me to put in work on the water heater and I made a decent hole in it but that thing was tough. They sure don't make em like they used to.

The site was well furnished with safety gear (goggles, gloves, etc.), tools (bats, sledgehammers, etc.) and objects to smash (microwave oven, water heater, glass bottles, etc.). WARNING-- if you're planning to order wings--just know that you only get 6 for $18 because the count isn't listed on the menu. I felt like I was taken advantage of because that's RIDICULOUS!!! I've never been charged that much for party wings, even at upscale restaurants. When my wings were sat down in a tiny bowl, I was livid.....I felt like it was highway robbery and definitely not worth the price. The only cool thing about this place was the free Photo Booth I noticed when leaving. It was free to take videos and pictures then send to your phone via text messages. I wouldn't recommend the food or drinks here because the price gouging is insane and there are way better places to eat and drink in the area. Also, there wasn't a Dj present because I kept hearing the same songs being played as if there was a playlist being played from a device of some sort. On a good note --the restrooms were pretty clean and they have board games to play on the first level where you enter at. It was ok, but I highly doubt I'd return.
