As others have noted in their reviews, Ken and Jeff are constantly working to keep up this lovely family resort. It is clean and landscaped beautifully, and the rooms are just right! With a sitting area in our two bedroom, we enjoyed the recliner and couch as we watched movies in the evening. In our full kitchen, we stocked the refrigerator from the local Publix and made our breakfast and lunch, which we packed for the beach. Many guests chose to grill out as we saw when we would load up to go to a local restaurant for dinner, but we preferred eating out! On our first night at Hurricane Hanks restaurant down the road, we met up with a resident who offered us more ideas for restaurants for dinner. There's nothing like walking right out onto the beach to spend a morning watching the waves, seeing dolphins frolic, observing osprey catching their breakfast, and swimming in the water among schools of fish. Many of the guests knew each other from yearly vacations, and we have already made our reservation for next year! Anna Maria Island is quiet and family friendly. White Sands Resort offers shuffleboard and corn hole right next to the pool, but the best show is the sunset. On our first night, we were surprised to see how many lined the beach to see God's beauty, of course clapping at the end! Thank you to Ken, Jeff, Joy, and Esther for a wonderful stay. Most of the folks that go here come back year after year and I understand why. Nothing like a family owned business they were card and it shows. I will be back.

There is no restaurant or bar on site, but there are some close by with a 5 to 10 drive. The staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. We were able to head to the beach while we waited to get our room, since we were early. There are loungers and chairs at the beach and it is first come first serve. The same applies to the pool. All rooms have ocean view, but our room was the one closest to the street, so we didnt get the same view as the ones up front. They have 2nd floor and a ground level rooms. The rooms are remodeled with an ocean theme, making it welcoming and getting that vacation feel. I did nit give it a 5 star due to the ac and all the humidity that you can feel at night. Not sure if it was our ac or just being too close to the beach that it was super stuffy, smelled a bit like mildew and it was uncomfortable to sleep. Noah answered and was AMAZING from the start!!He helped us secure a last-minute weekend BridgeWalk and we drove over right away. As a mom, this meant everything to me--our youngest is on the spectrum, and he was completely calm and comfortable in the room. That rarely happens when we travel, so having a space that felt safe for him was huge. The room was spotless, the bathroom was super clean (we loved the shower and tub combo) and the enclosed balcony was such a nice touch. Every staff member from parking to front desk to housekeeping was kind, welcoming, and professional. The location is perfect! There areshops and restaurants downstairs, Daiquiri Deck across the street, mini golf for the kids, and the beach just steps away. They also provide beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels, which made everything so easy for our family. We loved it so much, we extended another night! Best thing was the house was big enough for my husband, me, our son and daughter and her young family. First, owner, Nancy, was the best in helping us decide just which of their 3 gorgeous homes would be the best fit for our family. Any question I had she was spot on with a quick response. She also gave us great recommendations of things our picky family would enjoy. Her website also offers insiders guides with so many options we were never without something to do. It was one of the most stress-free trips we've taken. The home's amenities were just incredible and the decor so bright and charming. We certainly were living liking kings. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen well equipped. And I even got a cook's holiday, enjoying dinner at the Sandbar- the shrimp was to die for. My husband and son were in heaven sitting on the dock fishing together. That made the whole vacation for them. Of course, we took the obligatory photos of swimming in the heated pool to send back to the relatives to make them envious- though I preferred the hot tub. The grandkids thoroughly enjoyed spending each day at the beach. We've definitely decided to return for another family reunion.
