This was a delightful, clean sushi spot with the simple Asian ambiance that I really appreciate. For 6 pm on a Sat night, we were seated as soon as we walked in. The attentive service and varied menu provided delicious options for my daughter and myself. Other (more expensive) sushi restaurants have been suggested, and I'll keep those in mind for special occasions, but this place will be go to.... Just right before or after a visit to nearby Goodwill and a convenient midpoint between Central Point and Eagle Point for friends to meet up for a healthy meal. Next time, I'll try one of their sakés. Well done. read more

Horrible service no waters no napkins no utensils. A 50 minute wait for food to come out. Soda was flat and when I complained it was still put on my bill. The waitresses didnt come and check up on us once. read more

We found a hair in our roll, normally it's very good sushi, but they were claiming to be extremely backed up and there were only three tables. They were focusing more on takeout, and some customers that came in after us got served first. I was really disappointed because I normally love that place Took almost an hour and a half to get our food and the waitress staying and watch filling up our water. Love Umi. I work in White City and when my sushi craving strikes, Umi nails it, every time. I have eaten there with a group of four other RNs and everyone walked out impressed with our lunch. It's a tiny spot that packs big taste and full bellies. Once we even ordered via grubhub, for dine-in, I contacted the restaurant to adjust an order and the chef cancelled our grubhub and made it to-order for us to save US some $. What a kind move on his part. Don't pass this place by when you're flying down Crater Lake Hwy, it's worth a pause on your road trip 100%! read more

This is a great post in White City for a nice sit down meal. I like their calm music playlist, they really nail the atmosphere. The sushi here is great, and I love their selection of different rolls. We had Uni here as well which is hard to find in stock at many sushi places. Overall this was a great experience! read more

This is my second time here and service and food has been extremely good both times. I would highly recommend it. We have tried many items on the menu and were never disappointed. I love Umi. I get it for my birthday every year because I love it so much and any special occasion is celebrated with Umi. The staff is always nice and the food is reasonably priced. I love their crispy California roll so much and their tempura veggies and chicken. I'll always recommend Umi. The Jacksonville location was amazing for my bday one year and accommodated us even though we were behind schedule and ended up a little late for our reservation. The service at both locations is always top notch. read more

Amazing food every time. I'm allergic to shellfish and I always order the Reno roll without crab. They do a great job of making sure everything is cleaned and made separate from the shellfish. My family and I love the tempura, chicken katsu and my daughter loves the California roll. It's always fresh... you might have to wait a bit... but isn't everything great worth waiting for? Went for dinner as I often do but for some reason the service was unacceptably slow. Waited just shy of 45 minutes for my food to arrive at room temperature. So so. Server was non attentive and appeared to not care about me or my table. Usually very happy with this place but almost walked out and cancelled my order. My favorite place to get Sushi! When I tried them for the first time, I was tired and not in the mood to cook since I was just getting home from a long drive. In other words, I bought it because it was convenient but I did not want fast food. It exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff was wonderful, and the food was amazing. I would reveal to you my favorites but I think I'm up to six or seven "favorites" now so I think pretty much anything you order on the menu will be to your liking. After reading previous reviews we were a bit nervous about the service. But I will say this everything was spectacular!! The servers and sushi chefs were friendly prompt and courteous. The Hawaiian roll was very flavorful. The spicy garlic edamame was nice and salty and just right spicy. We also ordered the BEEF curry. I would say that it was the best curry I have had. It had a bouquet of curry without the heat. The ice tea was brewed beautifully too. Thank you for a wonderful meal. When we return to this area we will stop again. read more

This place never looks open so we always drive by, but I didn't want to drive to Medford so we stopped in, and it was open. I got the Tokyo roll. This was the best roll I have had in a really long time! I only gave 4 stars because I only tried one roll, but I will be going back to try more. This place has amazing sushi! I have been here 20 plus times. I love the Tokyo roll and apple gate roll. Why only 3 stars is because they are inconsistent. They don't always answer their phone for to go orders and one day I came in and they told me they werent taking any new tables because they ran out of rice. The cooks said it was okay to stay as long as I didn't order much. So I stayed, but thought it was wierd because people who were already sitting were still ordering food from their tables. Their prices are reasonable for sushi, but sushi is exspesive. Staff seem to change a lot, but are sometimes decent. There is a parking lot. read more

I like the food here but they always seem frazzled and understaffed. I got there one day right when they were opening the doors for the day. I had to order nine meals to go. The chef overheard me ordering with the woman at the register. He said, "I'm the only one here so your food is going to take a long time." He said it in a rude way like I was putting him out. Well, I placed my order at 11:00 am and it was not ready until 12:30pm! And when I got back to the office for the board meeting with the meals they had forgotten 2 meals!
