I had been using UMoveFree for 5+ years and on my last move it was the worst experience of my life. The moving company had a kid helping them and they broke my coffee table. Umovefree and the moving company promised to get the glass fixed for almost a whole year and never compensated me for anything. They lied and didn't get the glass fixed. They also wanted to charge me extra because the moving truck had a flat and went over the allotted time which had nothing to do with me. I waited at my new place for almost 2 hours before they arrived with my stuff. Then when they arrived I had to help unload the truck because they were trying to charge me more money. If you want to work with them just know if anything of yours breaks they will not replace it. Also they broke the blinds at my previous apartment when moving my stuff out. Worse customer support ever. I had a time frame between 2-4 the confirmation said I would hear back within 30 min prior I called Maya Baggett who hung up on me. She then said I was being difficult because she didn't know how to answer my question. Horrible moving experience from the moving coordinator and the movers. Now nobody wants to reach back out to me on my concerns, including Bill who was my locator. I'm highly annoyed! The movers did not assemble my bed correctly, there's even a piece of wood sticking out under the bed. The right side of the bed is not connected properly, mind you I'm 9 months pregnant and this is dangerous for me to sleep on. The movers failed to assemble some of my furniture. I didn't have the promised 2.5 hours, instead they rushed out after only spending 1 hour and 43 min. I've called the moving coordinator number 4 times and left two voicemails for a Julie, who is supposedly the moving manager. No response back till date. This was my first time using UmoveFree. They were very professional. The follow up was great customer service. The one thing I would suggest is that once you book online they need to reiterate to call them to confirm. When booking online and I received a confirmation number, I thought the move reservation was confirmed. I called on my own to follow up and the rep said my move was not confirmed. I would have been waiting for movers to show up and no one would have arrived. The moving company was on-time and moved us in a timely manner. I am reviewing them as apart of my move beacuse they of course vetted and chose this group and will inevitably choose your moving group which is a bad idea because these people a umovefreecom care nothing you or your move. They chose JP ( no reviews and an insecure website) They were several hours late and tried to get me to sign paperwork of a satisfactory job and they hadn't started. I honestly wish I could show photos of how damaged my furniture is now. My bed is broken on two posts and I watched these drops several pieces with out so much as a "my bad". On top of this at the end of the truck one of the movers was bringing in my pillows and his teammate told "him f#ck that you better throw those up here, its quitting time." they then proceeded to launch my sectional pillows 3 stories and not one made it up. After I noticed what was going on and probably 4-5 drops later I went downstairs and had the "mover" jump st hand them to me. These people really deserve no ones business and I am having to make claims with insurance for the damage and i pray they go after these guys. Whatever you do -- do not use this moving service. It's a huge scam. They won't give you any of the money they promise, nor will they move you for free. They will send you to the most run down, dirtiest and seediest apartments they can. The apartment Amanda Dames located us is awful. I have been here since late May 2019 and have had literally over 25 different repair requests -- 1 of them being an emergency. This property has given me grief from the moment I decided not to leave a positive a review for this scam of a service. They kept wanting me to sign contracts, so they could cut corners, because when I moved before, people was able to move me within the time frame, without messing anything up. They moved things a very strange way, instead of taking multiple boxes at a time, out of the door with a road or sidewalk, they decided to take things off the balcony where there is an enclosed gate, you can't open. They took my mattress out 1st and it was the last thing they put on the truck, they PUT MY MATTRESS ON THE GRASS, I NEVER HAD BED BUGS. These horrendous and unprofessional movers took apart my couch and loveseat, THEY DIDN'T NEED TO DO THAT, it's very light, I had a similar one, different color that I sold and me and this 70 year man, picked it up, without taking it apart and put it on his truck, they do this to waste time. They want that extra $90 or to just drop it off in the street when they get to destination. One of the drivers was yelling at my sister, he kept saying, "I'm not the one, I will drop his stuff right here, I got money in my pocket" They was throwing boxes on the ground that said electronics on it. If you want to pay over $2,000 for a free move come here. I had to pay July rent on two places, because of their incompetence plus I had to spend over a day trying to find a legitimate moving company. I wound up paying more, but they were able to move me without stealing or breaking my stuff. All UMoveFree cares about is their commission checks and IMO how they can bilk you out of more money by using their other services for utilities. Hedieh Zabiepour was my agent that was supposed to help with with the process on looking for a new apartment home using UMoveFree. From the start i sent several messages trying to get in contact with her to help me find my perfect apartment home... never once received a reply back. Once i gave up on contacting her i decided to do the search on my own looking through all of the apartment listed on the site. Thankfully my Husband and i found an apartment we loved and we leased it! I submitted my request for the free move and have been trying again to get in contact with Hedieh to confirm everything and make sure we are scheduled for the move on Jan 15th. Again, i could never get in contact with her. It has been several weeks now of fighting to get in contact with her. Finally today 12/27 i get a text from her mentioning i need to call the corporate office of the apartment community i am moving too so i can request for them to speed up the process. So i did.. They mentioned that UMoveFree is already aware of how things are done and that they are not paid any commissions until residents officially move into their apartments. Again, i ask for a call back from Hedieh and recieve the following response from her via text " I am not in the office nor do i plan to go out of my way to go to the office to call you about this. The rebate is paid after your property pays UMoveFree..." I have been run around in circles by this woman and i am truly saddened by the service i have been given from someone who's job is in Customer Service.
