If I were an Ump I'd call Umpleby's safe! Located a block away from Main; this spot is definitely worth the walk. With plenty of indoor & outdoor seating it's a great spot to work or chat. It has a cozy, rustic vibe that's not trying to do too much. Open at 8am this is a great spot to grab breakfast or lunch- with an all day breakfast sandwich menu. The food came out really quick which is good if you are rushing to class! I got the Miss Marple and a twice baked chocolate almond croissant. The miss Marple was really good; I picked the whole wheat sourdough which was delightfully thick cut which was needed given it was stuffed fully with egg, avocado, tomato. This sandwich was very filling and you could definitely share one. The twice baked croissant was decadent and I would definitely get it again. I've never seen anything like it- it was a like a traditional chocolate croissant with the almond marzipan filling. I would definitely recommend trying it! Overall, I wouldn't pass (umple)BY this bakery without giving it a try!

The "Friends" cafe of Hanover, NH. Quaint bakery tucked on School St. across the Six South St Hotel; this establishment provides fresh daily breads, breakfast pastries and a variety of delicious treats. WiFi service is available, follow through with some satisfying hot coffee beverages and cold drinks.

The best sandwich spot in Hanover! The Bertie Wooster or their Reuben are my go-to's every time, but you can't go wrong with any of their choices. The pastries in the case are just okay, but there's lots of competition in the area so I rarely opt for those. Their sourdough is perfectly crusty and every sandwich is generously packed with meat. You could easily eat the whole sandwich bc it's so so tasty, but they're super filling and could get you two meals out of it. It makes for an awesome study spot, and there's a small patio for an outdoor option. Street parking right in front. The line can get long but it moves quickly and is certainly worth the wait!

Nice little Cafe with good seating and atmosphere. Wife and I chose to split an éclair and combine with breakfast blend coffees. The ganache was tasty, pastry firm. The filling was creamy but a bit lacking in flavor. Not flavorless, just a bit weaker than expected. The coffee was excellent. Smooth served in a ceramic mug, makes you feel like you are visiting with friends. The young women behind the counter were very friendly and helpful and checked with us as they cleaned and stocked to make sure we were enjoying our visit. When in Hanover we will make sure we drop in again.

I enjoy their wares, whether it's at their storefront or in their booth at the Farmer's Market.

One thing I've noticed is that coffee shops usually excel at one thing--they either have amazing coffee and mediocre food, or great food and forgettable coffee. This place somehow nails both. We ordered an incredible sandwich, a super unique breakfast burrito, and a biscuit with maple butter that I still dream about. For coffee, we had a light roast pour-over and a flat white, and both were absolutely phenomenal. Despite being packed on a gorgeous fall day, the service was surprisingly fast and everyone was so friendly. And the atmosphere? Unreal. Sitting there, looking out the open garage door at the colorful fall trees in the middle of a charming small town... this Florida girl absolutely lost her mind. If I lived anywhere nearby, this would be my weekend coffee spot without question.

It can be busy on weekends, but worth the wait. The staff is friendly and they're usually quick to get food and drinks out. When it's warm out they have some outdoor tables; otherwise it can be limited in seating during peak times. The Hizzy is my go to, but the Jive Turkey, Salmon bagel, and Rizzo are equally as tasty. At other times they've had ramen, banana pancakes, mashed potato poutine, and on and on. Big fan, highly recommend. I love getting a stock of pastries just to munch on during my week.

The store did not disappoint -- it's a baker's paradise in every sense. Every possible ingredient, tool, pan, piece of equipment, and baking mix you could imagine is here, beautifully displayed and easy to browse. The space is bright, immaculate, and extremely well organized, with helpful staff ready to answer questions or point you toward something new. There's also a demonstration kitchen and a café, which adds even more to the experience. While their website is fantastic (and what we've relied on for years), the in‑person store is absolutely worth the trip. Whether you're an avid baker or looking for the perfect gift for someone who is, this is a destination worth driving for. We're so glad we finally made it -- and we'll be talking about this stop for a long time.

The cappuccino was delicious, though, with pretty latte art. Sat in the outdoor area with umbrellas and flowers; much of the "campus" had logo decor for photos and such. Unfortunately, a language exchange group took up much of the shaded seating, though only a couple cups of coffee in front of ~15 folks (please, buy something and support the business if you're going to take up that much space)?! Worth a visit and especially on a sunny day. Bough a few items at the shop and felt better!
