Good diagnostician and physician. Very thorough. You'll appreciate her attention to detail.

The only positive thing I can say about Derick Dermatology is their office is nice, Beyond that for…read moreget it. I had a surgery that left an old possible cancer wound to appear again. I went to Derick to get it checked. To start with, PA's come out not a doctor, I was checked out and then had a biopsy of the spot, it is now the size of a half-dollar, and it is oozing and quite painful, I was called in cream. I had left instructions to please call me if something was wrong. Today, on my birthday no less, I got a message saying to download the results. Unreal they are bad and the doctor couldn't call me? I called back and got their miserable frustrating answering service, again no human. Absolutely horrible human care!!!! Its like the Emerald City with no wizard !

I went in when I was still new to my full time job and insurance's medical coverage. I trusted…read moreDerrick Dermatology and all of its employees to abide by the HIPPA regulations, but afterwards I found myself to be mistaken. I did not wish to have a "suspicious mole" removed on the same day as my very first appointment. I simply knew from past medical experiences that there are some inappropriate billing practices going on today. I was rudely told that it was not ok for me to wait to remove a part of it for a biopsy that day and was rudely asked if I wanted to sign paperwork stating my refusal when I would have absolutely no problem doing so. I simply wanted my skin checked and scanned for possible skin cancer concerns, ask about any procedures and basically connect with the doctor in order to feel confident they were the right fit for me. I already felt I was not going to continue seeing this provider and a few days later my gut instinct was confirmed. An innocent coworker and I were discussing my situation that made me feel uncomfortable and to my surprise she told me she knew a female who worked at Derrick Dermatology! She then began to tell me a "funny story" the Derrick Dermatology friend had told her. It happened to be my story! The employee was making a joke out of my refusal to have the mole removed for a biopsy. Not interested in this type of practice that employees "gossip girls." I happen to be recently married and I want to protect my husband's privacy as much as mine and also our future family's privacy. I will not be going here and if you choose to do so, I hope that there are better employees there now that respect privacy!

Derick Dermatology - This is the best it's gotten with Derrick Dermatology, still noticeable, but if we skipped a dose, we were in real trouble.

Derick Dermatology - This was after a couple days of using the new dermatologists plan. Clear nose, no itching, no burning, no boils or pain!

When looking for dermatologists within my network and area, Beaird Dermatology came up as a…read morerecommended option. Their office is located in a multi story building in Hoffman Estates by the I-90 expressway. Their office seems newer with concrete floors/white walls being minimal and modern. It was easy to get an appt and I didn't have to wait too long as a first time patient. My first visit was a general visit to check for concerning blemishes and discuss some long-standing skin concerns. I was prescribed three different creams for three different areas as well as recommended an over the counter shampoo. I tried products as recommended and didn't see results. I recently reached out (3 months later) to follow up that items weren't working and was told I'd have to come back in because I didn't follow up. It was news to me as I was never told to follow up on my terms; I expect my doctor to reach out to me. Either way, I scheduled another appt which was another copay. I was recommended two new creams as well as a pill prescription. It's been a week and no pharmacy has reached out to me saying I have a prescription to fill and the pill left me with side effects within days so I stopped taking. I followed up with the office, they asked if I could come back in which would be ANOTHER copay. I sadly am deciding to cut my loses with working with their practice. I refuse to pay another copay three business days after visiting because they didn't ask the right questions when I was last in. I felt the PA I had was kind but other staff was not and only talked in medical terms which left me confused and hard to follow conversation/questions. My PA seemed like he did care but I am left feeling like they want my money more than finding a solution to help me.

While Dr. Beaird is a good physician, it takes 9+ months to get in for a skin check with her, she…read moreand her staff will not allow you to have more than one skin condition addressed per appointment and you cannot get through her AI system to an actual human for scheduling purposes. I recently switched to a different dermatology practice not because of Dr. Beaird herself but because of how her office and practice is run. Her administrative staff do not return messages, they do not follow up with necessary insurance preapprovals, they cancel appointments regularly and then make you reschedule through text messaging or AI, they are unfriendly and they fail to process basic medical records requests. I've never encountered a medical practice that was so poorly managed.
