    24' Crosstrek Premium

What a pleasant experience we had here at Treasure valley Subaru. The entire service team who helped us with the purchase of our new Crosstrek were such a joy to work with. Thank you Mike "The car guy who cares", for truly exemplifying that nickname. Mike served with patience, technical insight and showed genuine care to get my wife and I the right vehicle. I'd like to also commend Jake for helping us on the financial side, there is a code that this dealership seems to live by and it shows. It did not feel like we were in a boxing match over numbers. Jake was honest, realistic and understanding with our budget. He did not only earn our business with this purchase, but because of his work Treasure valley Subaru will be our first stop when ready for another vehicle. Needless to say, I highly recommend TVS!

Best place in every aspect! I actually enjoyed the buying process (which I normally hate). No hard sells, no gimmicks. Loved the actual dealership and am blown away by the service department (it has new technology and will be quick and thorough). People working there are so friendly, down to earth, honest people! I'm so very happy with my new 2021Subaru Forester Tour! Will never buy from anyone else.

    2020 Subaru Forester Limited
    Chris B.

I went to Boise Subaru about two weeks ago, looking for a 2020 Forester in Pearl Blue with a premium trim. I was told that my monthly payments would be just out of my predetermined budget, and that the closest they could get me was a premium in Jasper Green. They told me they had reached out to all the dealers in the area to look for a trade on the blue model I wanted, but nobody had what I was looking for in the entire state. Regardless, we went on a test drive where I did minimal street driving while a salesman awkwardly talked about my career as I tried to figure out the new dashboard. I've had my last car for 14 years, and I settled on the baseline stock model that was available when I drove it off the lot, so I've been dissatisfied for the past few years that I hadn't gotten into the vehicle that I actually wanted. The new Forester is a LOT more car than my 2006 Scion xB, and this salesman barely taught me anything other than how to turn on the cruise control. Yesterday, I reached out to my bank to get preapproved for an auto loan so I would be able to make a decision quickly, and have the ability to get in and out of a different dealer without a lot of hassle. I decided to do the research myself, instead of taking a salesman at his word, so I went to the Treasure Valley Subaru's website to look at their inventory. They had what I was looking for in stock, but it was in the limited trim, which was definitely out of my price range. I decided to still go to see if the blue in person was worth all the fuss I was creating. I pull up and James Introduces himself to me, and I quickly tell him, "I've already test driven a 2020 forester, I'm already preapproved for a loan, and I'm making a decision today to either leave with a blue forester or buy a jasper green forester in a few days from the dealer in Boise." That's when James and the team got to work for me. What I didn't know, is they had both the Premium and Limited options available in Blue, and that came as a huge surprise considering I had recently been told there were none this side of the Oregon coast. We went on another test drive, this time in the Limited, but this time I was able to actually test the capabilities I was looking for because James spent the entire time explaining every feature in detail and having me try them out for myself to ensure I knew what I was getting into. At the end of the drive, I got to preview the all terrain course (currently under construction, but will be opening up in the next few days) to test the ground clearance and off road capabilities of the X Mode. This type of driving was the reason I had been looking at getting into a Subaru to begin with, and it was incredibly reassuring to see it in this kind of action first hand before buying, and without needing to take it up into the mountains to find out the hard way what it is and isn't capable of. After the test drive, the team went to work. I won't lie, between the test drive, the initial paperwork, and the financing paperwork, we were at the dealership for close to 4 hours. But it was absolutely worth it because they were able to offer me a better interest rate than my bank, and they were able to get my payments for a Limited model cheaper than my payments for a Premium model would have been with their competitor. Plus, and most importantly might I add, I got it in the color I actually wanted. I could write so much more about my fantastic experience, but I will summarize with this. Treasure Valley Subaru offers a completely unique experience that is in a class incomparable to their competition. If you are thinking about getting into a Subaru, there isn't another place in the entire valley you will need to visit once you've spent some time at Treasure Valley Subaru.

He was professional, friendly, honest, and helped us get the perfect car for our needs. We've owned our Toyota RAV4 for about six months now and everything that Tanner sold us on the car with has since held up. He was also just a cool dude! Waiting for all the paperwork to be ready can be a gruesome adventure, but Tanner hung out with us and was a fine conversationalist as we waited. The guys in the back, running the paperwork and all that fun stuff, were also super friendly, honest types. I'd recommend Edmark Toyota to anyone, but especially folks who value supporting business that don't just say they act with integrity but show it.

Everyone gives different information and records are hard to get. I get maintenance on my vehicles when needed and I always ask to make sure I'm getting everything done, they say yes. I have all that done. Then 15k miles later they tell me I'm past due on $700 worth of maintenance that could affect my warranty that should have been done when I had the other 60k maintenances completed. I asked repeatedly previously if I had all the 60k maintenances done and they said yes. Of course there's more because nobody knows what's suppose to be done. I spent an entire day here so I wouldn't have to come back and spend another day for maintenance, now here I am missing another day because they don't know what's going on. I also wanted to verify on receipts to make sure they weren't doing work again that might have been already completed. The service advisor sent me to the cashiers and it was also a hassle to get a receipt. At first they said they can't get the receipt and should check mine. Then another said I needed a RO number otherwise it couldn't be pulled. Then the manager came and was able to get it. Upon checking everything, it turns out they forgot to mention the maintenance needed 15k miles ago and was told it could affect my warranty, even though it's their fault they told me I'd done everything needed. This shouldn't be this difficult just for normal maintenance work. Obviously there's a simple list of what's needed every 30k miles or so. What's so hard about just reading off this list? I'm just convinced every dealership is like this now. Peterson Toyota is still far worse (so far), but this one is just as bad with record keeping. The problem is there are only a couple Toyota dealerships here and now might start buying in twin or elsewhere. Don't trust any of these dealerships and verify everything multiple times. Also keep receipts since it's hard to get records here. Edmark, thanks for wasting more of my time, you won't be the ones selling me my next two cars I plan on getting.
